Great vid Grant, love a one lapper! Stunning scenery and weather too! I managed to do one in Finland and Norway over the last two weeks which was a bit different. Frozen lakes in Finland ❄
@@EndorphinEmpire Yeah I did, that one will be out Friday 😀 Also made some Vlogs whilst I was in the countries. Would definitely recommend going if you haven't been already!
Sorry I missed you at Chopwell. I am there most weeks, but I was supporting my nephew to run his first Parkrun and he insisted he wanted to run somewhere where there was no mud, so I was at Gateshead Parkrun. Perhaps in high summer you can get away with road shoes, but I would deddo recommend trail shoes for Chopwell. As I am sure you noticed there is a large patch of mud at the base of the first climb about 1km into the run and in the winter there is also a patch on rthe two way section near the end. Im glad you enjoyed Chopwell Parkrun, it has to be one of the best I have experienced so I keep going back.
Shame to have missed you there as well, Mike! Did your nephew enjoy their first event? I think it’s definitely trail shoes like you said! I was almost caught out a couple times, but just about managed to get round in road shoes. I did enjoy the event though! What a stunning day for it as well.
Interesting video! Also useful and informative. 😊👍 Beautiful location! 😊 It’s nice to have a snack in a cafe after a run. ☕🥧 Thank you for the video! 😊🕺🤝🏻🏃♂👍🏻
Ah, Chopwell, one of the few places you've filmed which I can say I've already done! 😂 And that cafe is decent, we've eaten there a few times, well worth a look. I'm at Chopwell tomorrow for a Wild Deer event, doing hill training which we did in February and was fantastic so looking forward to that agai! Glad to see your leg seems to be fairing better as well.
Haha finally we can compare notes 😂 I was really surprised by the cafe! It was lovely. How was the wild deer event? I’m hoping my leg is better, I’m going to step up the running a bit more and try to get fit again.
@@EndorphinEmpire Glad to hear it, it's all a bit "meh" when you can't do the thing you love doing. Well done for persevering and doing the videos despite the injury. Yeah, the Wild Deer things was brilliant, it's the second one they've done and they are really good fun. It's not a race or anything, just a group of about 50 - 100 doing endurance and interval sessions. The next one is planned for 2nd June if you wanted to check out the site, only a fiver too if you're not a member.
First time I've ever seen myself on camera.
It's certainly a beautiful Parkrun & the sun shone for us.
Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! What a cracking day for a run. Hopefully you looked as speedy on camera as you felt while running

Cheers Eliot! I can’t wait to see the footage… did you take you camera up there with you?!
