I get the joke but I was curious if this was actually the case, I did the math and it actually costs 80 nitra to fire it for 30 seconds.

Thank you very much! Glad that you enjoy them, I will probably do that for all of the classes in the near future. I have been really liking the new Sludge overclock with Heavy Hitter Epc. That is a fun combo.

That one is really good and very cool to use.
A mission modifier that increases how many stationary enemies spawn could be sort of fun
This overclock is fantastic for things like Industrial Sabotage where you have a glut of targets. Its quickly become one of my favourite mods for this.
T5B already helps sustain fire in a target-rich environment. This new OC seems like the sort of thing that's most useful when you have a small number of hard targets to deal with, which is probably why it's good for sabotage. Engineer is currently the only class I like bringing on Sabotage missions but this OC might be worth checking out.
@@agentoranj5858 The reason I said Sabotage is that it was the first mission I played with it, and the ability to fire endlessly ended up clinching the win.
The only thing I do different build-wise than Ron did in the video is I do for the increased damage at full spin. THe playstyle of the OC lends itself to laying into the fire button as you *want* to trigger an overheat, and can quickly begin firing again before it spins down.

@@loafofbread9400 I like to bring Loki with chemical rounds and the 3 shot electrical shots, and the shard defractor with the bonus+33% damage to crit (& heat mod) and electricrifed targets, OC on shard is less important but I like the one that turns the terrain to lava to set things on fire sooner.
In practice, you fire off a three round burst at the target, swap to secondary, and shoot at the crit spot until target is eliminated or the electrical DOT expires. Then you repeat the cycle. Blow through rounds are recommended on Loki, but the 20% damage increase to ⚡ targets works too.

At 38 rof it spends 200 ammo yo overheat, same as burning hell. But after the 1st aggvent, if you use a charge (removes 62% of your heat) you can pop off additional aggvents for 125 ammo
Then there is of course hot bullets which works as you expect. Just the 15%-25% heat removal.

I think if this overclock decreased damage by 1 or 2 points but gives you like 700 extra rounds of ammo it would be perfect

@warriorfire8103 I mean, it's already kinda obsolete. I haven't felt the need to use cfm more than once, which was when I first got it in over 350 hours of play time.
I find that this overclock works really well with Hellfire, though I run 3211X Rotary Overdrive (T5C for robots and T5A in general) since I want to focus this on single targets while hellfire focuses on crowds. Currently using this on haz 5 with much success, I prefer running this over LSLS so far, but would probably bring LSLS during EDDs with scarce nitra.
Daamn I feel so sorry for you! Not getting cargo/gear loot while missing items is a bummer... I had this for months, found more than a dozen cargos without precious frameworks.
Minigun has been bugged for me since the last patch. Fires one round then spins and makes the pew pew noises but nothing comes out.
My minimum has been working fine. Try restarting your computer maybe.

@@michael_aagaard always sprint, combined resources, fart with reverb and profanity booster.
@@Mr3DPrintWizard Try and play the game without those mods and see if you still have the problem. (combined resources should not be the cause as i also use that mod, and have zero issues with the minigun)
Interesting mechanic in that you can trigger Aggressive Ventings more frequently with this new overclock, but it doesn't bring up the Minigun's DPS as high or consistently as some of the other overlocks could. Plus, those collant injections are limited.

It's only slightly behind LSLS making it 2nd in most dps out of minigun ocs.
Plus with aggvent, you not only pop aggvent cheaper then burning hell, the coolants remove 62% of your heat. It's hard to run out. Unless you're an aggressive hotbullets gunner which only removes 15%-25% heat
pure fun thx for the idea, i personnaly prefer to take hot bullets (cuz its fire right ? also with the reload u can maintain pretty well the red zone) and stun (for control) and the fire paintjob :)

Yes
Yes, you get half of your charges on resupply, which just in case you are curious with perfect timing you are nearly able to fire from completely full to nearly empty using the coolant

This overclock is cool but I'm still horribly waiting for an overclock that turns the minigun into a C-RAM. Zero spread, increased fire rate, increased overheat or some other penalty.
Just run this with accuracy T1 and magnetic bearings T4
@@warriorfire8103 alas, the accuracy t1 just doesn't reduce the spread enough. I want to sweep a precision beam of hot lead across my enemies
@@ZarHakkarso, what? You expect a minigun to just have zero recoil? Cuz that is where the accuracy penalty comes from, ever notice how tripod mounted weaponry are always more accurate? Cuz aint no recoil bouncing the soldier around lmfao, in order for you to get what you want recoil has to be outright taken off the minigun.....

I don't care what mumbo jumbo they say makes the overclock work. Put it on an Aliens-style smartgun mount. Zero spread is what I want
Honestly I feel like the extra heat generation is a bit much. +50% would be enough of a downside. Also I wish the coolant completely removed the heat but i get that its convenient to keep it in the red for hot bullets
It only heats up as much as burning hell. (Both use 200 ammo to overheat from zero). Is it too strong? Why nerf it?
Nah, still prefer burning hell + volatile bullets as the fire build for my gunner
This OC is cool, but higher rate of fire really makes your ammo disappear in blink of an eye. Like you clear one mini swarm and you wasted close to half of ammo :(
2nd highest burst of the minigun OCs. If you want efficiency, you'll need to leverage blowthrough and aggvent/hotbullets.
what framework is that?
minigun has rival tech (DLC), coilgun has milspec (found in cargo crates). paint job is "buff" which can be forged from a matrix core

@evan9730 milspec used to be found in crates, now you can get it via the season 3 performance pass, since you can replay previous seasons

What a useless OC, creates a problem and then solves it. Should have been a clean OC that gave you those charges to cool the gun down and didnt alter it in any other way.
you're being dramatic bro, it's a straight up DPS upgrade that can also play with the aggressive venting spec because of the faster overheating and quick cooling mechanic. if you think that's useless then you're boring lol

@@Cheshire9k yeah, you want to overheat faster. that's the synergy with the new rotary OC and aggressive venting.
overheat faster, deal AoE, instantly recharge with coolant, rinse and repeat. if you play it like that, you'll run out of bullets before you do coolant charges. so it's really not that much of an issue. have you actually tried it?
