Honestly I really feel like the hog needs a rework. At most of the tiers there's a pretty clear best choice, and it just means most builds take nearly identical mod paths. It doesn't even need a straight buff, they just need to distribute the upgrades more evenly so we can actually have some real build diversity
Pump action is everything i ever wanted for this gun. I just hope they give it a very slight buff to it to make in on par with the best choices but i'll always be playing it anyway
With pump action, i like turret whip + fatboy ! In particular, if you put ur sentries next to each other, blowthrough lets you whip both at once ! Between blowthrough for small groups and bulky enemies, whip for medium sized groups, you can deal with small, medium, and then large groups with fatboy.
Worth noting: moving and jumping increases spread So for best killing power you want to stop for a moment. And when sprinting, jump before shooting. It lowers the spread faster while keeping momentum. Just played the pumpie all day and it really makes a big difference

Really enjoying the new pump action overclock. That is the kind of shotgun i know and love in video games, slow firing, but huge powerful shots. With the choke, it can snipe ranged enemies as well.
for some reason, breach cutter with inferno sometimes not able to ignite praetorian in one hit if picking plasma trail in t5, but triple spit always ignite in one hit
Do you have more of these videos, where you go over a weapon fully? I found some similar videos from 3 years ago but they are a little outdated and not as awesome as this one. Please do more of these, I'm looking forward especially for scouts plasma primary! Feel wrong however I build it

its hard to go wrong with the Warthog apart from t2 and t4 a besides some very specific builds i.e pump action. quick thing about Mini Shells you can just take ammo with LWM and have similar overall damage with more consistent meat shots while still being able to stun
Mini shells is not so good. The magnetic pellet alignment can show why: On second tier you can pick expanded ammo bags, loaded shells or choke. Mini shells+expanded ammo bags- a bunch of ammo, huge spread and low damage. The magnetic pellet alignment+expanded ammo bags- middle ammo capacity, hight damage, low spread. Mini shells+choke- many ammo capacity, low damage, low spread The magnetic pellet alignment+expanded ammo bags(again)- middle ammo capacity, hight damage, low spread. With The magnetic pellet alignment you have 36 ammo less but you dont need wory about damage and spread. Whith mini shells you never have enough of damage and or spread decreace and your shotgun becomes a very strange and ineffective automatic rifle, where you need to be almost always close to the enemy. Loaded shell not make all better becouse off spread.
@@loafofbread9400 Yes, but turret whip is your main damage sourse from shotgun. It is really good but the shotgun like a main weapon is really weak. So, take mini shells with expanded ammo and make turret your main weapon.
Damage drop off from.range is the worst drawback of the gun. Fortunately most enemies in the caves will be less than 20 meters or so away and in all likelihood closing to melee where your shotgungs stopping power is greatest.
Turret whip was sent down by karl to deliver righteous death and punishment to all with more legs than two. Turns the warthog from a simple shotgun to a flexible and reliable cave cleanup tool. Much like hyperalloy assembly, it's the only reason I use the weapon at all.
Same I always just haven't liked the shotgun but I do use it some for weapon maintenance. Maybe if I try these more refined build I can hopefully like it more
Some Helpful Critique that i'd like to give From my personal experience, ANY form of lag that a video has, instantly destroys my attention span, i'm sure i'm not alone, so you should get other opinions on this, but PLEASE, consider trying to keep framerates as high as possible during your video. I noticed your framerates were also fluxuating while you were playing DRG, you might have some hardware/software issues. I always respect an aspiring content creator, but please, the poor FPS during the beginning portions of your video really made it harder to watch.

Least favorite weapon in the game for me. Tried so many builds, nothing feels great. Maybe I'll try a few of these.
