Wow this was so helpful! I have multiple things I can try to help my plants now! I have had plans for years and somehow didn't ever hear or read about re-soiling!
Excellent video. Very informative. The problem with my 6 rubber plants is all stopped unfurling all at once 😮. So, it seems like an environment change huh? They look perfectly healthy., and pots are getting lighter, which seems indicate water uptake. I'm using the same watering as always. I have fertilized them all. What is so weird is the fact that they all stopped unfurling at one time. Help !!!
My syngonium pink also has this failure to unfurl issue. Trouble is, even if they didn't unfurl properly, they keep producing leaves, and these leaves are either staying closed or partially unfurl as well.
I have a monstera rescue. She was in a real bad way when she came to me. She’s now thriving & looks like an entire new plant however, there’s a huge leaf that refuses to unfurl. It’s now turning brown, it’s been over a month.
PixieDusted, Was the leaf on the plant when you got her and she was doing badly? It could have been damaged before you started giving her proper care. You may need to cut it off so that a new leaf can grow in now that the plant is healthier.
@@HealthyHouseplants I appreciate the advice, these has been a gruesome mishap concerning my beloved monstera. I recently adopted a 6 month old “bait” dog and she hasn’t learned manners yet, we’re getting there. She ate my monstera, and fiddle leaf fig, and 2 prayer plants 😭 Thank you though.

@jenniferkarpuk3225, I'm so glad the video was helpful! I think re-soiling is a term I came up with. :)

same. same plant too
Me too! Same plant, just recently started and it was such a fast grower for me!
Hydrometers, pH, and TDS meters are mandatory in my home. I grow lots of orchids inside and I use those meters daily.
Sharon Holmes, those are great tools for the garden! I'd love to see some photos of your orchids.
@@HealthyHouseplants I have two Vanda's in bloom right now. It's not phalaenopsis season just yet.
@@sharonholmes4444 That's fantastic! So pretty!

@@PixieDusted72 Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. :( Hopefully the doggie soon learns to coexist with your plants and you can replace the ones you lost!
