You were in my old stomping grounds. Built a home on the other side of Grapevine Lake and lived in the area for more than 20 years. Now retired near our grandchildren in the Houston area. Lots of memories walking around downtown Grapevine. Thanks for the video.
I love downtown Grapevine! So many shops, restaurants and fun activities. Hey! Thats my Dealership! I guess the lesson learned would be top every fluid known to man! lol Take care!
Y'all are/were in my neck of the woods less than 10 miles away. My daddy was born in Grapevine 92 years ago in a house behind Main St. My husband was also born in Grapevine 67 years ago about 1/2 behind Main St. I lived there for 9 years when my son was little, and he played baseball at the fields on the other side of the marina from the campground. The Vineyards has always been our favorite campground, probably since it was close enough that we could have friends out to enjoy it with us. My folks used to camp there when I was growing up, and later after my son was born. Be sure to go to Scott's Landing at the marina for a hamburger, and to sit outside to watch the sunset and the sailboats. TTFN
Excellent video this week. Congratulations on the massive subscriber count. From roughly 56k to just over 70k in such a short span of time. More and more “visionaries” are joining the community. From early on, you’ve been true to your word and have been transparent and open with all. Bravo Brian and Michelle. Your journey has been one of excitement, adventures, pie, excellent recommendations as well as the new friends you make along the way. Stay safe, stay well. See ya next week.
Yes! That’s been a shocker! Seems to have happened after the last two cruise videos OR TH-cam finally listened to all our emails about all the people emailing us that they have been unsubscribed over the last 4 years. Who knows. We do some advertising also but never that kind of results.
It’s not easy sitting all day working in a Van, glad you get out and walk as you do. Lived in Granbury, TX near Ft Worth but did not explore Grapevine.
Nice little town, and park! Well, a high mileage syn oil change is about $70/every 5000 miles so... but to charge for top offs (after their courtesy ck!) is the pits. Stay safe on the road.
I'm from ft worth and went there many times in the 60s I learned to drive on the big circle on the lake below the dam (picnic area). I'm sure it has changed a lot
That was a good price for service A. Ours pipped up in the middle of our 3 week vacation. It was over $500, but the very nice service secretary gave us $150 off coupon! That was in Missoula, Mt. I think it's similar her in Atlanta also
Grapevine is a cute town. It's been a while since we've been there so we need to get back. Thanks for showing us around the campground. Looks like a good place to stay. Hope to see you guys soon!
Worked in Grapevine for several years back in the 80’s, brother lives about 1/4 mile from the park. It flooded horrible in the spring and had to cancel a stay there in June. We visit several times a year and downtown is a treat. Glad ya’ll had a nice visit. Go to central Texas and visit Enchanted Rock State Park again!
Awesome! Our friends are staying there right now. Been there since Nov 1. I'll be sure to share this with them. I believe you've missed each other. Looks like a good destination with cabins available and close to Dallas/Ft Worth.
We love the Vinyards campground! Living in Fort Worth, it’s our get away place every December. Grapevine is the self proclaimed “Christmas Capital of Texas”! Great video, I’m going to be looking for that pie in December!
That campground looked nice. I enjoy seeing your stops and adventures. Your comment about the short boating season is very true. We kept a boat on Lake Winnebago Wisconsin. Being ‘fair weather sailors’ our typical season was about three months even though the boats were in the water about six months.
Thanks... live in the town next door (Coppell). Don't know if I missed you commenting or not, but the Vinyards is a city owned campground (Grapevine). Maybe you got a chance to take the Grapevine Vintage Railroad (Cotton Belt Route) from downtown Grapevine to the Fort Worth Stockyards?
Yes and the campground is very well maintained. We did the Vintage Railroad about 3 weeks ago, in fact, we just met the guy that runs the railroad this evening as we were walking out of a restaurant. Small world.
Thanks for making your videos more current. I've never been to Texas and now I am able to see the area. And what the typical Fall temperatures are like. I enjoy following your channel...
We don’t always have the ability to make them current. Please know that we usually run about 2-4 weeks behind in order to edit (which takes 4-5 days) and keep things scheduled in case we have to take time off from filming for any reason. Whether it’s to have some time away from constant work, family time or unexpected circumstances…we can’t constantly make it all work out by editing what we just finished filming and expect to not miss a week when we don’t have something already scheduled to go out for the next week. Thanks for understanding. 🧡😊🤓
Good Morning what a way to start the video WITH PIES. I have been to Grapevine Texas several times and every time I find something different that I didn’t find before. I just love everything Texas. That campground looked very nice and quiet. Wishing you both a very Happy Thanksgiving and see you next week.
We absolutely LOVE Grapevine!!! That’s actually where Jenn was born and lived until she was 6. We also LOVE The Vineyards Campground!! (We actually stayed in that same site as the Sandpiper) We also learned that Grapevine is the Christmas Capital of Texas! We spent Christmas there last year and it was absolutely amazing! So many holiday activities and festivals and Main St. was decked out beautifully with decorations! We highly recommend spending Christmas there if given the opportunity. Great video! Miss you guys! ❤
Yes, it is decked out beautifully now actually. This video was before they started decorating. They have their signs up now for “Christmas Capital of Texas” too. This is one of the areas we were thinking about moving to about 14 years ago. I have a lot of cousins in the area. It’s a nice area but property taxes are known to be high in Grapevine. Diesel fuel is $3.49 here right now but a couple miles down you can find it for $3.01. lol
@ yeah I think I remember hearing that about Grapevine. That’s crazy about the diesel price 🤦🏼♂️ but that area is on our list of places we could see ourselves settling down in. 🙌🏼
It is good to have you in my neck of the woods and in my favorite Season in TEXAS; October!! I used to work near there and Grapevine was the closest place for lunch for many years. Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving wherever you may find yourselves this coming Thursday!
Curious, How you like the screen door. I have a Jayco Swift with the same door. Not too crazy about it. Seems hard to open and close since it doesn't rely on any true track system like. A traditional type in a home.
To be honest, we hardly ever use it. Flying insects like gnats can still get in if we’re in an area with them. Plus we are usually in areas need the AC on. Even when temps are in the low 70s, it gets hotter inside. If there are lots of gnats, we use the AC.
Looks like great weather and beautiful campground. Lots of space between sites too. Added another destination on our list! So many pies… how does one choose?
I have a neighbor I've been friends with for over 20 years, she hates pie, Kristy Cream donuts, and casseroles, I think it's time I pick better friends, LOL.

Something tells me even if the fluids were full, they’d charge you for something. 😂
Looked like some good pies. Weather has been great here in Texas so far, cool mornings warm afternoons. Looking forward to seeing you guys!🤓😎🥸
Don't mess with Texas; just enjoy it! Oh yeah, and their pie!
😂 👍🏻🤓

What a unique campground!!! Thanks for sharing 🥰

True. The European Blend synthetic oil is a more expensive oil though.
We love The Vineyard and Grapevine.

We were charged $80 once to top off our DEF at a dealership. We never went back.
Wow, we wouldn’t either.

Thanks for sharing. We actually went to Enchanted Rock State Park in our Texas hill country video. Beautiful area
Love that campground. Went there several times when the kids were small and we were living in Louisiana

I'll be sure to share this with them. I believe you've missed each other. Looks like a good destination with cabins available and close to Dallas/Ft Worth.
Fall in Texas is like Summer in the midwest. It would be nice to have more boating time, but I'd rather have midwest Summer over the Southern Summer.
I learned to waterski in thane when I was a child
Nice campground. Grapevine looks like a great place to visit. Safe travels!❤

Best pie shop ever! Omg I may have to make a drive over.

Looks like a cool little town. How did you hear about it…through the grapevine?
😝 Cousins and friends live in the area. We also almost moved here about 14 years ago. A friend told us about the campground and Judy Pie though.
Great story today!
Ours won’t come back in but goes out just fine. I wonder if it’s two fuses.
There would only be one fuse for the entire awning. Sounds like you have something wrong with the awning itself.
@ look like I’ll have to extend it so I can see the serial # and send to Grech: they thought it was the gears. Was hoping it was something easier
Yes, it could be the gears in the awning
Maybe I missed it but what is the name of the park?
Vineyards Campground & Cabins. You can always watch that part again too, we don’t mind the extra views. 😜😉
❤
Hey Brian, I was just wondering if you have gained any weight since y’all have been full timing? Or lost weight?
Gained some for sure after we started eating our more often 😂
Building the channel slow and steady. Good stuff. DW
