How could you have two viewports but one has transform handles on and the other has them off? 15:49
Is this new to H20.5? My H20 houdini doesn't let me do this

you can add a null and create new tab and lock the vieuwports to a diferent number . one looking at the null imported in a diferent geo and one at the main one.
this is showed in the animation example with the sausage with hair and sharp teeth.

Is it hard to learn Houdini compared to Maya?

In my experience it was the easiest one to learn as almost everything is is where it should be and Houdini does not guess for you, you have complete control of everything that make you feel sane again. Also documentation is very good and python binding is very well made. Sometimes the latest features may lack tutorials to learn or still change every version a bit but in general it is very pleasent experience.

If you can learn Maya you can definitely learn houdini

Animation is still not flexible enough like maya

It's still in BETA lol, are you expecting it to get a great animation environment right out the bat?😂
Houdini put more updates for animation and rigging in this 2 major releases which were only 8-9 months apart than Maya has for the last few years. Give it 2-3 more years, it will definitely surpass it or atleast reach the same level. SideFX is definitely planning on aggressively updating the rigging and anim tools.

@@fastlearner292 Right, Houdini put more updates for animation and rigging than Maya. But, it still BETA and worse than Maya 2012.
