This is very early PTX! It was their first video to go viral in a pretty big way. The voice at the beginning saying "Here we go.... this is happening" is Ben Bram. He's often called "the 6th member of PTX", he has been their arranger from the beginning, and also produced PTX vol 1, the EP that this song was released on. Scott had met him at USC during the 1 year he went to college, and he's the one who brought Avi to them. He was also working for the Sing Off during the season that PTX was competing. He was included in their first 2 Grammys because those were for the arrangements, and he had a big role in that process. He still works closely with them. You can see some of his work with them if you get around to watching "The Recording of Evergreen", the mini-doc about the Evergreen Christmas album from 2021.
🇺🇲🎼 .. I agree with you Saeed , that a song can be overplayed to the point where you don't want to hear it. Then .. Pentatonix comes along and enhances it. They are superb musicians. Loved it .. TY 🎼🇺🇲
Hello Saeed! Thank you for this one. It was on my list. This early PTX is just great. Love the arrangement. Love the individual vocals. Love the harmonies. Love all the vocalizations. Love the precision. Love the bass drop and the camera drop! Love Mitchell's passion when he sings! Thanks again.
Thanks for reacting to one of the best Pentatonix covers. Serious harmonies and musical knowledge with great vocals. This cover never gets old (nor does the excellent original).
One of the first viral PTX songs. I love babytonix! There is a part of me that really likes the bare-bones, less processed sound of early PTX, but I understand trying to compete for the modern marketplace. I agree with you about songs being played to death at the height of their popularity. There are some songs that I still can't listen to decades later.
This was the first video of PTX that I saw (my kids showed me when it was first posted), but I actually didn’t become a Pentaholic until they dropped their official video of The Prayer in 2021. They were brilliant from the beginning, so it is hard to fathom how they’ve been able to become “brilliant-er” over the years. 🤯💜
"Pentababies," so talented from the very start! Fun reaction, Saeed ~ Have you considered doing the"Sing Off" series of PTX in order? It's a trip! Thanks for another warm reaction ~ and, LOL I still have over 200 of my albums from the 1960's, and yes, still occasionally play them! Good Memories ~

The voice at the beginning sounds more like Scott to me than Ben Bram.
This was the first Pentatonix song I ever heard on yt and I was hooked…a fan ever since
Amazing rendition of this song.
Oh.... the smooth, deep tones of Avi... yeah...
1st viral video, crazy to see the start to now!! Amazing talent. Added: Avi was like hitting the Super Bass button on the Boom Box lol.

They definitely made me appreciate the song again. Wonderful. Thanks for watching.
I love this one so much. All 5 of them have parts that amaze me every time I hear it.
Great rendition of this song.

I liked your reaction 😊Great voices combined together! Thanks for sharing
Pentatonix always delivers. Thanks for watching.
An oldie but soooo good! Love the harmonies, dissonances, beat drop, deep bass… it’s perfect.
Absolutely love this. Sooo good. TX. Greetings from South Africa
Another great rendition. Thanks for watching. Greetings from Belgium
If you want to hear them sing a song without words, check "Dance of the sugar plum fairy". 😊
Sing a song without words 🤯. Will add it to the list.

This is the song that introduced me to Pentatonix. That' was 12 years ago...and I've been a Pentaholic ever since!!
Awesome introduction.
The music dept. in the college where Avi received his classical/operatic training
had a nick name for him. Bass Cannon Kaplan.,
Now thats a nickname 😀
I never get sick of this song! Thank you for reminding me how amazing it is ❤
I would like to suggest Mary Did You Know if you liked the Home Free Version. Pentatonix does such a beautiful cover
I remember when I first saw this video. This was the very first time we got any sort of solo bit from Avi and it shocked me!!

Awww Bruges...the most well persevered medieval city in Europe. Its gorgeous.
It is a beautiful city.
Hello Saeed. Just re-visited this. Looking forward to more PTX reactions!!
Hello Meg! Thanks so much! Hope to get to more soon. Been so busy lately.
As young as they were then, they were so tightly knit even then.
This is one their best covers. Done long ago and proves how much talent they have always had.

Definitely want to check out the Sing Off series as well.
Wonderful! Looking forward to that!
The 1st viral Belgian singer I remember was Jeanne-Paule Marie Deckers, better known as Sœur Sourire
I definitely know her
It got played to death most everywhere 😂 Have you heard some of Gotye's other work? Check out the videos for Hearts a Mess and Bronte ❤
It was definitely a global hit. Might need to check out some of his other music. Thank you for the recommendations.
⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡
Recommend another early PTX video, Cruisin’ For A Bruisin’.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Personally I like the original much better.
I think i heard it too many times. This rendition gave some of that feeling back when i heard it the first time
@@SaeedReacts.
Great song none the less
