@@classic.obsessionI marvel at the beauty of the cars but imagine the dust from the drive in must require a deft clean-up as they line up for the show. I wonder how they keep the works of art so clean during the show?
A veritable feast for the car enthusiast, great presentation Gary, most enjoyable. Keep ‘em coming and I’ll keep watching. PS:- the wig looks good too! 🤣
Great video Gary, I went to last years one and thoroughly enjoyed it, didn’t get a chance this year, so great to see a some of the cars on your channel.
Another great video! When I heard Jackie Stewart speak it immediately yanked me back watching racing on ABC as he provided the commentary when I was a child! It literally gave me goose bumps!!😊
Remember Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill signing autographs at the motor racing show 1971 , Olympia. Me and a friend badgering them for stickers to put on our soap box !
Loved that Gary, the 600 is absolutely magnificent and the engineering is just unbelievable - it was great to hear two guys brimming with enthusiasm talking about the vehicle with such passion and knowledge. The Volante is my favourite model of all time and especially the DB6, I saw one in Mink at the NEC a few years ago and it was love at first sight ( don’t tell my Mrs as she thinks she is the only one !! 😂) Great stuff as always ! Cheers Stew
I knew from the moment that Gary spotted that Mercedes Benz 600 on the drive into the show he was going to interview the owner. I have to admit that color, that brown/grey, is my favorite color that was offered on the 600's. So many blacks and blues but that more distintive shade sets that car off in a way that says pure class. At first i thought it WAS Gary's old car but then realized his was NOT a pullman. 🤷
He saw so many of his pals killed like Graham Hill and Jim Clarke he decided to change the face of racing where safety was concerned. One ambulance for the entire Grand Prix! Asinine! Regards.
I was taken to Hampton Court by our landlord, me and two classmates, in his 1st gen VW Golf in the summer of 1976. Saw the ancient indoor tennis courts and much else I do not remember. Too bad there was not a classic car show on the grounds then. The 600 Pullman is "Chauffeur only", but the 'short' (if this is not the understatement of the year) yet still enormous wheelbase 600 is the car to have, to drive and to enjoy. I was not impressed by Amelia's stupid Cord, but I did like the interior of that Aston Volante drophead. PS Show us more cars and less gossip.

Roger! I stripped it down and found a brand new Porsche belt with cam cogs fitted. Looked like it had been done last week! Old owners obviously forgotten but to be fair he is 95 so can be forgiven. So I have the full kit still wrapped up on the shelf!! Regards
Hi Gary. A cry for help, not from me but another channel: Soup Classic Motoring. Bloke has been doing a bolts up rebuild of an Esprit S2. Chassis and suspension are now sorted, but it seems his interior went off to someone to get sorted and has disappeared. If memory serves me right you had a video if a Lotus parts place that had interior panels. I have searched your videos but cannot find it. Would you please remind me where this business was? Thank you.
The notion that something can be judged as less than for being objectively better is pretty grotesque to be honest and of all the great & wonderful things about the world of cars I’m not sure the way they’re judged in shows is something we should be promoting or celebrating.
I've noticed that too. He'll ask an expert their opinion or account of something within their specialist field then a few words into the reply Gary cuts them off and talks over them. It's frustrating, especially so if it's a topic the viewer is particularly interested in...
I don’t like to listen to prepared answers but if somebody is passionate and spontaneous and is bringing something new to the conversation I’ll listen to them all day long.
Because as lovely as the etypes are you throw a stick and you’ll hit ten of them. The other cars for me were rarer and much more interesting. Cmon. The Etype has been covered by just about everyone over the years to the point where there’s not much more me or anybody can say about them. Regards.

Brütsch Mopetta
It needed a v8 conversion!
Great show! Great presentation! And NO rain! Fascinating 20 ins,
Loved the car roll at the beginning hearing the engines and crinkle of pebbles. Pure heaven.
Unbelievable isn’t it!

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance also has some rare and lovely cars, but this location is fantastic,.

Really like the way that you show the cars and all the anecdotal stories. Great channel dude. New sub.

Please do a collaboration with Iain - perhaps on your 928 as it has such a fabulous back story?
Please don't. Ian is not Gary. Pompous in my opinion.
I watch every video Ian & Gary put out religiously. I’d love to see them collaborate.

Do I hear the dulcet tones of a fellow Scouser-or do my ears deceive me ?
No better than my Rover 75
Looking at its color, I'd say the MB 600 Pullman belonged to the Belgian royal family. Too bad you didn't ask the present owner about it.
I probably would if I’d have known!! Regards
