I loved the demo a lot. I do wish it was a tad bit longer, it felt so weird for it to automatic cut off when the floodgates opened. Despite that, the game looks great!
I believe it ended there because that was the average stopping point of the demo when people were playing through at D23 and Gamescon, they couldn't implement a timer in this demo like they did for the conventions and just figured out what stopping point to use
One thing I noticed is that the spin attack now propels you more in the air, acting as almost a third jump. I never played the first game, but it definitely didn’t work like that in 2.
The thing I kinda didn't like was how weirdly they cut the guardians cutscene and that some sound effects were definitely missing (even if this will probably be added in the final game), for the rest though i like the animations, the graphics (of course on switch they look more rough but i think they still look okay) the new moves are cool, I got used to the controls pretty quickly and I love that they put new collectibles, while i'm gonna miss the postcards the new "areas drawings" look great too as well as the new concept arts, i also think the menu is much better and more organized (my ocd is happy that now the cutscenes are actually in order), none of the songs were remixed but the game already had a great soundtrack so that's not a problem
the one thing that irks me about this demo is honestly just the lack of jump momentum, when you sprint and then jump you just get this really slow jump lacking horizontal movement to some extent, of course it's pretty much how it was in the original but there we didn't have a sprint, let alone a dash move. if they at least let you air dash that'd totally fix that for me, but it's not too big of an issue to me
I am disappointed that they didn’t change the pacing of the cutscenes, like add a continue button or slow them down. Most of them go by too fast to let the emotion sink in, which is especially bad for bigger story highlights, like meeting Oswald in his lair or Mickey finding out he caused the Thinner Disaster.
Even more surreal that they even gave this game any attention. Most games exclusive to discontinued consoles just stay dead, but this is a *very* pleasant surprise! :D
Are there any hidden mickeys? I think the machines are supposed to be hidden Oswards or a detail that references the character before you even meet him
Omg rewatching this I realize I didn’t get the Dark Beauty Castle pin AGAIN… just started my second run for thinner route and omg that’s crazy 😭 how could I miss it twice, I guess I just really didn’t notice the door

when i was younger i would play all of the demos from the Wii Shop Channel like Pokemon Rumble or Cave Story over and over again because i didn't have other new games from the Wii Shop. i would probably be replaying this demo 100 times if i was still that age
I like this demo but what I wished was that they made it and open world like they were going to in the Wii version but who knows maybe they will But other than that I think the devs did a wonderful job and the detail is so good. love it and I’m excited to play the full game

I really loved a lot the demo, it was so magical to play, the only thing that annoys me is that they removed the Pirate Gate at the beginning of the Jungle Boat Ride :(
18:59 aside from the Guardian tutorial cutscene, the one weird thing i found was that the Paint layer plays when you have one or two Guardians, and the neutral paint layer plays when you have all three. I honestly don't like how they swapped around those two tracks (same with the thinner themes) it kinda ruins the ambient order that the they go in!

Doesn’t act like that in the first game either. Reminds me of the spin move from Mario galaxy.
@@thatsastick13 you can also jump, spin and then double jump. Which i definitely couldnt do in epic mickey 2
@thatcactus. it actually does it was a trick jump were you Bressingham the spin attack and the jump button at the same time
Doesn't the spin also break your fall? You jump and then spin to avoid a hard drop
