Washing my hair helps me get out of depression and depressive episodes. It’s an instant help. More people need to talk about the benefits of showering and washing hair.
Yes, thank you for sharing this. When my OCD was at its worst, my constant shame meant i washed my hands so many times over and over all day everyday for months and months, but the feelings of internalised guilt never went away as I wanted, thankfully this was a few years ago and the skin/nails have managed to grow back, but just a heads up for anybody out there who may get obsessive or addicted to the behaviour, it can become a painful habit.
In my country we use the colloquial term "he washed his hands" when referring to someone who doesn't take accountability for something that it is considered to be their responsibility. I find this parallelism most interesting.
In France, there is a saying « Je m’en lave les mains » which means exactly that… (washing our hands and feel less responsability about what we’re doing)
Links in the descriptive text to research the video is based on seems like an odd omission for a video where every other detail has been taken care of. Citing research that has never been done or was done poorly by fanatics/scam artists using 5 of their friends, was cherry picked out of a sea of other research not backing that conclusion, etc., is absolutely rampant these days to the point where nobody should believe any fact or statistic or claim without a source to verify it. It's a simple addition that lends credibility to the honest and a lack of it is a red flag.

Yes, me too! Thanks for sharing this.
Yes. Whatever the feelings get up,showered and out of pyjamas. And say well done after!
@@crystalclear6864 Yes 👏🏼🖤👏🏼
That’s fascinating. I wonder if crying is the body’s way of doing the same thing
Ok, it really comes with a cost. One of my compulsions for OCD is showering because of shame/guilt. Watch out for that as well everyone.

Oh, gosh, yes! “He washed his hands of it” - we say this too! I hadn’t made that connection. Thanks so much for pointing it out!
@@Betwixt_App I really like your channel. Wish you the best and thanks for your correction i struggle with english gramar often.
Oh, I wasn’t correcting you! I was saying how we put it here in the UK, which could be different.
And thanks! I’m glad you enjoy the channel 😊

Curious if its applicable across all cultures... or religions
You just know when to pop up in my life, don't you. ❤ 😊
but how long does this effect last? I may wish to retain my level of helpfulness without leaving myself unwashed ...
