Hello everyone! Just a correction here: The self-titled album from Pat DiNizio that I discuss just after the 4:00 mark was his third album not his first. So used to saying those words "self-titled debut". Thank you for watching!

You're welcome and thank you Chez! Thanks so much for your feedback throughout the series! The live album is worth the purchase if you enjoy the discography and want that live experience. Glad you dig the shirt and poster! They have some great posters on their website and I am thinking I will pick up another one before the year is out. More to come on the channel. Cheers!

Thank you John, for this series! This turned me onto this great band! I absolutely loved this series and going through this catalog. 11 and Blow Up were my favorites and I listened to them today.
Terribly under recognized band, with a solid catalog.
If you want to kick back with a drink and a cigar and just relax, the Smithereens are perfect to listen to. They’re not super heavy but they’re heavy enough.
    Love the shirt and poster!
I can’t thank you enough for turning me onto them.

Enjoyed this, John. The Smithereens do not get enough love! My rankings are slightly different with 11, 2011 and the debut being my 1, 2 and 3.

Thank you John for recognizing & the effort you have put in to my favorite band since 1986.The members of the band have always been the most approachable & appreciative of their fans more than any band I’ve known. I’ve been a fan since I heard the opening Bassline of”Blood & Roses” I live in Nothern California & since they are a east coast based band I don’t get to see them live as much as I’d like to but whenever they come close I’m there front row.Losing Pat was a hard pill to swallow, He always had time to stop & talk to me ( sometimes in Italian ) He was my Ameco Pisan. Tex is the most underrated guitar player in Rock history & so approachable to fans and a great friend. Dennis is always in the pocket a a great background vocalist as well & a fantastic Rock Historian & writer . Mike lays down the bottom of a bass note like no other & the thrilla is a breath of fresh air! Kenny Howes I think was the unidentified Bass player you were trying to recall …I think he played when they opened for Tom Petty on his tour .

You're welcome and thank you so much for your post, Scott! Excellent to hear that you have been a fan since '86! You are so right, they have always been so kind whenever I spoke to them. Losing Pat hit me like a hammer. I saw them in New York City the January before he passed. He could no longer play guitar because of his arm injury but he sounded great and he was in excellent spirits that night. What a fantastic band! Thank you for the info on Kenny Howes! He was so cool when I spoke to him as well. Cheers!
