Well I, for one, will remember Knight Malcolm, Saint Heavy, Saint of Sabbath, Poise Wizard, etc., more than the dark builds. Thank you for all you've done to help foster the great community of invaders we've had in DS3. I'm looking forward to the remaster and for damn sure looking forward to the new game, but I'm also sad to see DS3 fade. It's been a special game that provided a ton of fun for a very long time. I can only hope that the future games provide the same.

@@johnsmith-sp6yl Probably the failure of the remaster to hold an audience, and the resurgence of DS3 players in response. I mean, damn, the remaster tanked hard - on PC at least there are routinely only a few hundred people playing, whereas DS3 has been clearing 15k lately.
You taught me to enjoy this game, Saint, poise wizard, black metal, paladin of londor, blackguard, all the big bois and skill builds, every one of 'em lead to me getting good (ish) and turned this into my most played and my favourite game and I've benefited hugely from it. Cheers bud, can't wait to see what you teach me back in Lordran

Love the way the monologue build up arcs at 8:14 seconds, the tone of the speech changes subtly and the guy gets parried and the music really kicks in. That was a good moment, that was one of those moments dude. Right there!!! I got chills. You start off like a man losing his mind, fighting off this other voice for his sanity and by like 10 minutes in your like I AM THE NIGHT!!!

Keep an ear on your audio levels, Saint. I noticed the music was a bit loud compared to your voice in this episode and there were times I could barely hear what you were saying.
Yesterday I was invading in irythil and a host used a seed on me over by the church of yorshka . Boy was that a fuck up on his part since him and his over leveled phantom were chilling up by where you get the first born's ring with all the enemies dead, soon as I realized where their asses were at I brought the party to em to the tune of two pissed off Pontiff Knights. The knights died but not before helping me kill the phantom and then after a lot of parried R1 spam the host was dead as a rock; I've also gained an appreciation for people saying over leveled phantoms are bullshit. After seeing a full havel with ledos hammer quick rolling at level 52 I too now think over leveled phantoms are bullshit

Nice one, Saint. I recently discovered your channel thanks to someone on reddit and have been binge watching all your older stuff. I appreciate the way you express yourself, and the voices/characters are fucking fantastic. That "Bully" video from a couple months back had me giggling like a fucking idiot. We have a similar sense of humor from what I can tell.
A shame this might be the last ds3 vid but I get all things must end eventually. Anyway, really looking forward to ds remastered and seeing what you come up with.
I love your videos Saint, no matter what game you play. I may not be the best but I’ve gotten a lot better from watching Dark Souls players like you. I’ve seen a few instances where you touch on being a blue summon. Perhaps some LRN2CO-OP or something similar could be something you make a short series on? I have tons of ideas honestly. Alas nothing beats the sweet taste of victory being an invader, but in the grand scheme of things fighting well trained opponents is more satisfying than a group of casual gankers. Can’t wait for remastered to come around so I can see what content you post! ✌️

This game is boring zzzzzzzz. The ds3 world is so bland. Invading in bloodborne is much more exciting. Go back to parrying people with tentacles.
Watched this and your Irithyll vid the wrong way around. If those are your last DS3 vids then I want to say thank you for not only educating me on how to invade, but completely changing my mindset on what an invasion should be. I hated DS2 so I came from the honourable duels, 2v1s and forest hacker fights of DS1, straight into the infinite resummoning 3v1 invasions of DS3. Thanks to you I went from missing the former to actively seeking the latter. You made me enjoy invasions like I never had before and I really appreciate it.
On top of the poise, rolling and straight sword range nonsense (seriously, those things outrange everything), when they buffed the elemental infusions, they gave elemental build equivilent damage, but also access to the buffs, pyromancy, spells, miracles on top of the chip damage and every extra trick faith and intelligence normally get you.
Dark souls 3 fucked up because they made the meta so goddamn obvious that everyone can use it.
My only regret is being a masochist who still plays a purely physical UGS build who hates gankers.

what is it about blue spirits... I suppose, because blue invading is like red invading except instead of trying to kill the host, you're trying to get them to notice you... it's just naturally a much weaker mindset

The fire has almost faded. Saint has made a dark build that shows no mercy, only pointdowns. The end is near my friends. May the good remaster guide our way.
Invaders always feel smarter than other players. They have been ganked so much that they learn how to take defeat. They know the tactics to use and will use them if necessary. But they also learn discipline. If the host fights fair, they also fight fair. If the host fights with friends then the invader fights dirty.

If you throw a little montage around 18:36, then flash a few title cards, and then have the swamp segment as an epilogue with rolling credits and lighter music and this video would stand a a really neat closing note. It's still solid and fun as it is, but if it really marks the end of your regular DSIII content, it's a bit of a shame that it doesn't stand out more.

I see what your saying; this game has been out for two years and people continue to use the strats that were relevant then. Even if someone has just picked up the game, there is a wealth of content detailing how to fight and build your character.
