I was 8 years old when this song came out. Today, I'm an old man. Survived a accident where I died 3 times before I was stable enough for major back surgery. Ended up in a wheelchair, rest of my life. I survived to watch my wife of 28 years decide that living with a man in a wheelchair was not for her, so she left me for another man. I have had way to many storms and tornados. Today the meaning of this song is reveled.
God pulled you through all this for a reason!! He does not make mistakes!! He has blessed you with life, you take it in whatever form you can!! You will be ok!! God will see to that!! I'm sorry your wife didn't see it that way!! Always put God first and you will be blessed beyond ways you can't imagine. Maybe you are here to help others in situations like yourself. Give it time. I will keep you in my prayers!!
Blessing to you my Brother, you've lasted this long meaning no storm was too big to you. Hopefully you've found someone who actually knows what unconditional love means and till death so us part.

I was sitting in a restaurant tonight that had a bunch of TVs in the bar and one of them was playing modern country music videos. I just couldn’t stop staring because every song looked like hip hop or pop. One they ride around in a new Land Rover. I’m not that old (39) but just couldn’t come listen to some old country and this song never disappoints.

I remember my parents taking me to see Bocephus a few times as a child and he always killed it. A truly life altering experience that has never left me (and I pray it never does). A true legend. Country music isn't the same these days. We can never return to these glory days.
This comment section is filled with a bunch of blues/country dudes. Love it. I was writing an alt/rock song called weatherman prior to knowing about this, might rename it. Not much of a country guy, but I know a good song when I hear it, respect to Hank.
I've never heard this recording, or even a performance of Mr. Weatherman live. This absolutely blows the recorded version out of the water. What an amazing talent.
Some songs just sound perfect live and not so good in the studio… this one is a masterpiece in this live form. The emotion is raw and on display. The constant battle of the guitar and the piano is symbolic of the hurt VS heal aspect of the songs message. Love this version
This is to my dad who lost my mom 6 months ago and still trying to fight the alcoholism, hes trying to be strong for mom. He misses her and know he wasnt the best man to her and i feel this song as if hes singing it to her.

How come Hank Jr's not in the hall of fame he damn sure needs to be
Agreed
Have u not heard his song just call me hank he says he dont care about the hall of fame that may have something to do with it
he’s too good for it
Hank 3 said he was just to god damn loud. And that’s a quote.
As Tony Montana said in Scarface: "Politic"
This was on my very first Hank Jr. album,I traded a KIss album for it, never regretted it.
David Franks you should have regretted it
David Franks you should have regretted it
nope I got rid of kiss for bocephus, maybe I worded the thread wrong
David Franks I would do the same thing to.
David Franks I’ll take Hank any day over them
I do not care what people think this man had a positive impact on my spiritual live and live in general and in some of my roughest times in life all I had to do was pray and sing a Hank Williams Jr song. God Bless you Hank Jr.
This is how a MAN let's the world know hes having a tough time 💪
I grew up listen to hank. It was one of my dads favorite singers! Hank has amazing voice. Still 39 years later this song is still one of the best songs ever! True country music! Gives me chills still today listening to it! Thank you Hank Jr. for amazing song that will last forever!
I'm thankful to have found hank williams jr's great music. My mom and dad raised me to listen to all types of music, from funk, disco, latin, country, rock...etc. with no discrimination and happy I'm not prejudice, if I was I would miss out on gems like this.
I'm a city slicker, but pro gun, pro hunting, know how to garden, love me a good whiskey and a true gentleman. Cheers!

He is one of a kind
I just lost my 18 yr old nephew to a car wreck. This has always been a favorite of mine and it was his favorite song. This has been a heart crushing ordeal for my sister and bro in law and close family
Lost mine too 5 years ago in a head on with a semi truck, know how you feel. He was 26
So sorry for your loss friend
This song really says it all for me right now, just lost my cousin to cancer in April, a friend lost her husband of 55 years last week, and now I'm back in hospital as of 2 weeks ago dealing with leukemia in a my brain stem and waiting for approval of meds to get released for home, to which is up in the air, only to come back right away for treatments... I could use a change in the weather.... God Bless
Praying for you my friend. Hang in there.
One of the few times that the live version of a hank song sounds better than the original
Hank always delivers. He's the best all time country blues man.
What an absolute work of art. Pure gold. You can feel this song in your bones.
Yes ❤
It's a perfect song for his voice and presentation. Will listen to it .....and listen to it ......did I say I was going to listen to it over and over. 😂
This man a true soul of americana he strikes that guitar hits those country notes and can make your heart soar. He's true American Country music treasure!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍
being southern makes this so much more special, you can feel the real emotion from where “country” started. Hank Jr will forever be the greatest to ever do it.
Sitting here through Hurricane Irma listening to the PERFECT Hank song for the occasion! The man is and will always be a true Country Music / Rythem & Blues / Southern Rock #ICON
I heard Hank coming through the speakers when I was little and now he comes through when I need him. Always the good stuff right where you need it. ~~~~~Brad Cooley
My 21 year old daughter turned me on to this beautiful song. Now it's on my favorite Hank Jr. playlist. Love me some Bocephus!

This song hits me straight to the core of my soul. I've felt like this..... but I can't express it. Hank can and I'm thankful for musicians like him. What a special talent!!
THE greatest country music artist I've ever experienced. Thank You to the entire Williams family.
I have been being open minded and trying new music especially legends. Glad I'm open minded. This guy is amazing. What an awesome song. This dude can make a guitar cry
He is real!
Telecaster, prettiest sounding guitar ever
Tele + Hank= elegant.
Dropped tuned like Waylons guitar.
Thanks Clapton for the inspiration
That tele is SOOO out of tune
@@TheVirginianRambler dude..... its detuned purposefully. You need to watch yourself. .
As a long time fan I find it truly inspiring that someone with such a profound learning disability could achieve so much.
To many Highs! To many Lows! To many Storm's and Tornadoes! Man, Those are some Great Blues lyrics. Maybe the Best I have ever heard! Thanks, Hank! I have been through alot of Highs and Lows!
My son Tim Midkiff shared this And I listened to it. Brought tears to my eyes .
MY BROTHER AND COUSINS AND I. WOULD JAM TO HANK JR. PROB. EVERY WEEKEND. COLD BEER. CAMPN ON FISHN BANK BIG FIRE ROASTING HOT DOGS. DAMN THOSE WERE THE DAYS ...

I remember my parents taking me to see Bocephus a few times as a child and he always killed it. A truly life altering experience that has never left me (and I pray it never does). A true legend. Country music isn't the same these days. We can never return to these glory days.
My best friend lost her mother recently and we need some blue skies and sunshine , love you Hank!
The greatest. Song writer, musician, and singer. No one can touch him .
Am I crazy or is this a really awesome song? I've never heard it before.
The greatest generation!
This version might be his best work. What a performance.
This song might be Hank's finest moment. It's a pretty darn timeless.
Some songs just sound perfect live and not so good in the studio… this one is a masterpiece in this live form. The emotion is raw and on display. The constant battle of the guitar and the piano is symbolic of the hurt VS heal aspect of the songs message. Love this version
I was honored to have spent several days with him filming a deer and turkey hunt. I went to his house and saw his gun collection too. Good times!
His real collection isn't even at his house. He lives down the road from us. Did you know he gets #1 of every Ruger ever made?
@@alphasig218 Where I saw the collection was not at his house, but I won't mention where it is.
@@cattlecreekphotographybyto8954 I know where you are talking about. It's nuts.
This is to my dad who lost my mom 6 months ago and still trying to fight the alcoholism, hes trying to be strong for mom. He misses her and know he wasnt the best man to her and i feel this song as if hes singing it to her.
Lost my mother 2 weeks ago had to watch her go thru it 😭 i cant stand no more pain too many storms and tornadoes i need blue skys and sunshine ☀️
Just seen Hank for the third time last night. He will always be a legend and the greatest of all time. As long as he’s still going, I’ll be going to see him.
A glimpse into his soul!! The king casts a super size shadow on country music
Hank William's Mr.weatherman is one of my favorite songs..I love this song because I'm going threw alot an I Express myself threw music..so this is a oldie but damn goody..thanks hank you remind me that life is real an I'm not the only one going threw hell...amanda noe
Glad you agree another country soul like mine...
1977-1986...... broke every single record
Man.
This song just blows me away.
I hadn't heard it in more than 25 years until today, driving back from a 14 hour 1200 km run to the coast and back.
Memories flooded back of my younger days.
