The 2jz ge has weak rods so around 340 is the limit

I’m not a civic fan. However, it’s so easy to make them fast and there’s crazy amounts of parts. If I were to build a crazy car I’d go with a civic for sure. Sleeper mad sleepers.
Don’t forget the 2011 5.0 Mustang, with cheap bolt ones altogether for less than 15k you can easily have 500hp!

The 2003-2004 Terminator Cobra mustangs were rated up to 1000 horsepower on the stock internals. A simple pulley and tune on the stock supercharger would put you at around 500 whp. I now own one... Super cool video... Thought I'd share that. Since The cobras are still somewhat affordable. 😁Even 400 Whp is enough to have a ton of fun! 😸

Cheapest is the Z31. Internals hold 600hp. Nistune, HX35 turbo, fmic, Mercedes injectors, fuel pump upgrade and filter, and gut the intake. Get a nice clutch and pressure plate and there you go. Probably around $5000 including the z.
you forgot the SN95 mustang where you can get a twin turbo kit $1,300 that makes it have 1000 horsepower

High mileage 2010 Camaro SS. I bought mine with 130k miles for $10k and it had headers and a Ebay cold air intake. I did the DOD delete and stage 2 BTR cam $1400 and a $600 engine and trans tune and 3 inch catless MBRP exhaust $900 and got 475 hp and 425 lb tq to the ground so at the crank right at or just shy of 500 hp.

Honestly, lots of power to be made there, but it’s gonna be pricey, if all you want is to break 500 in a 5 series, the 535i 2008-20010 is great, and will break 500 more cheaply

I've got the dreaded mid 00's Ford 6.0 diesel, but hear me out.... Egr delete, liquid to liquid cooled swap to liquid to air cooled, blue spring kit, cold air intake, stage 3 kit from bulletproof including the head studs to take all the new power, throw in a tune and sprinkle in some parts from sinister diesel and I'm looking at around 700 "reliable" hp when it's all said and done

Al tunes are great! Most of the tuners won't realize until it's too late.. Don't recommend changing the car seats, because people miss-interpret, the wire harness for the power seats to the air bag weight and location of seat with elation to distance of the steering wheel. You'll get the air bag light, possible accidents the air bag may fail to work. Also, so called universal sports seats are not really Universal : the holes don't line-up and the bolt threads don't match... 👦🏻👍🏻🏎🏁

And the nissan patrol y61 it costs about $10,000 and slap a turbo kit for $5,000 and a tune for $500 and and head studs for $400 and like that you will have a monster

Yeah a rusted shell with a hella high mileage k series and an ebay turbo what are you talking about, you need a tune, better injectors, not even close to 5k so please stop talking

And have knowledge and access to tools or someone that can do some fabrication amd some diy and some modification or refurbishing of parts...

a volvo t5 white block is a tranversal engine tha can easely be put in a inline configuration hes small take huge numbersof hp you find it everywhere and you can swap it everywhere

Lol most of those require building the engine which if your not really experienced or have a great friend that's going to cost quite a bit to have a shop put in all those mods.
Civic engines are cheap though. Make mistakes. Learn from them.

WRX bad idea the transmission for blob eye and hawk eye is weak. Like 300 hp and say goodbye. The sti 6 speed is a must for those kind of numbers.

Depends on which civic. I have my 2000 civic SI with 44k original miles. Could sell for over 25k. I just put a b18c1 turbo build 600hp. For me increases value. Car is like new, freshly rebuild turbo engine!! Wondering how much $$$ I should sell??

Honda civic is pretty much the best option for 500 on the cheap and reliably. Hell awd conversions on Hondas are cheap. Just about everything you can do to a honda is relatively cheap. The only thing people really hate is the honda culture and the engine sounds
