Since the cost of living has gotten higher people are keeping their cars longer and not buying a new one. I keep getting offers from dealers to come in and trade, but no dice. Good review.
My wife currently has a ‘19 Grand Cherokee and loves it. For the past almost year or so she’s really been pushing to get a new one as she likes the newer style even more. Glad to see prices come down and possible rebates going on, because now we might actually get one.
10/2024. These are getting heavily discounted by some dealers. $5250 in FCA rebates. Dealer discount $9575 (requires a trade-in and financing). Brings an Altitude X 4x2 down to $34,000!! Not a bad deal at all!!
Test drove one the other day and I was surprised at how smooth it was. Engine moved swiftly and it swallowed up bumps like you were in smooth luxury ride. Coming from a CX-5 where the engine struggles to move and each bump in the road is a harsh crack to your spine lol
I owned a 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xE for a year - super nice vehicle - and I would probably still have it if it wasn't a 4xE - had some serious hybrid issues. They are super sick looking and very nice interiors in the higher trim levels. They do have a lot of extra little trim pieces that are a real pain to replace properly if you have hail damage (16000 Canadian in trim and hood damage). Has some serious issues with the infotainment and Apple - but that seems common in any Jeep I have owned.
Jeep sales are way down per Kirk’s video today. But this is a nice deal, sweet spot in terms of size, not huge but not small, NA V6. Like the Pathfinder, suffers from competition. It’s definitely saturated. Jeeps also suffer from low reliably reputation. Kinda like people think all Nissans are bad b/c of their cvts, which isn’t true.
My Grand Cherokee 4xE was in the shop for almost 50% of the year I owned it. And they didn't even have a formal fix for all of the recalls before I traded it in for a GMC Canyon.
I bought a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.2 V8 with 100k miles for 3800. Engine purrs and seems to have all its ponies. I get 11.7 MPG around town LOL. I've put about 5 K into her, tires and stuff a solid rig! With that said I do like the new ones.
I’m in the market for a new car and have been thinking about buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee. People around me keep telling me not to buy a Jeep because it will have too many problems. Can you shed any light on this? Is the Grand Cherokee reliable or should I look at Ford or Chevy?
Hi Ben, have you worked with Salt Lake Valley Jeep? They have great deals right now, and 0%. might make sense for me to make a drive over from Colorado
Ben, in my opinion you not compare this to the Bronco because this is a unibody suv vs a body on frame suv on the bronco and this going for a more luxurious theme even though these two are both off-road capable suvs
They look amazing and have the tech and luxury features you'd typically only find in a $95k and up vehicle. Unfortunately, my 2023 Overland 4xe is a lemon and is being bought back. They have such great potential, but so many well documented issues, it's no wonder they aren't selling. It really is too bad because I don't know of any other vehicle in its class that's pushing 375hp and over 400ft lb of torque, all while getting incredible MPG. The point is... buyer beware.
I was interested and excited to potentially purchase one about a year ago Their air-conditioning is unacceptable. It could not cool down the car in Arizona.
There is a solid reason for those discounts. a) it is a Jeep made Stalantis also known as FIAT. Commonly known as Fix It ... If you know the name of this brand sold many times by its parent companies! Do I like this of course I do. But it is extremely unreliable.
Why bother taking it for a test drive if all you are going to do is go around the block with it? I truly believe you were a car salesman before because that is exactly how salesmen want you to test drive cars. If you aren't going to drive it on the highway to check for things like wind noise, handling, acceleration at speed, etc. then save us the time and yourself the trouble of even starting it up.
IMO Jeep reliability scares me and my friends away from buying. I always loved the jeep grand Cherokee, but would never buy one because I'm afraid it will die on me around 80K
@wesleyberry3670 yeah? The lease for my Jeep Overland is 570/ month. If I was financing it, I would have paid 1200 at 6% interest rate. How much am I saving per month? Close to 600, and for 36 months, it would be 21600. You already saved 21600. After 6 years, would your car value at 21.5K, probably not. In this economy, lease is the best option
Given how bad their sales numbers are looking I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop the prices even lower soon in order to move some serious inventory.

Considering your odd of buying a new car with a 4 cylinder is like 80%+, this 6 cylinder has more than enough power. These are nice cars.
With cylinder deactivation

There is a brand new 2022 Jeep cherokee for sale in Florida with 35 miles on it. That's very sad
Low 40s is a decent price.. A V6 is nice with almost everybody going turbo 4…

@@OntarioGuy430 didn’t say I’d buy it! lol
I have a 2014 GC that I actually purchased in late 2013. Same engine and gas mileage. You kidding me! When they actually update these I’ll upgrade.

People are not buying new vehicle because of high insurance. car insurance are more than the car payments
Hi Ben, have you worked with Salt Lake Valley Jeep? They have great deals right now, and 0%. might make sense for me to make a drive over from Colorado
But will Jeep be around long enough to honor these manufacturer and extended warranties?
Trash service
No
☝️ @jgboys1 This right here.
Ford or the Chinese will probably buy them out.

Ben, which would you choose the new grand Cherokee or the new vw atlas cross sport? Thanks
Wonder if Stellantis understands the American market when it ended the Cherokee and Renegade models. Huge mistake.
They will prob just wholesale a bunch to rental fleets to keep consumer market high
Nice, but get rid of all the shiny plastic in the interior!!
Ya either like piano black or you don't! :-)
Its $40,035 Grand Cherokee altitude x 4x4
If anyone asking
BEN, 7 years is like yesterday, made me laugh when u said long time ago.
Was that a space saver spare? Good to have a spare, even better if it full size, for tire rotations
Rare to find a full sized spare now. My older SUV has one but they want to save space and weight now.
Insane Grand Cherokee Ben !! ❤❤
When get into the low 30’s then it’s something too good to pass by but 45k it’s too much for a known unreliable car
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL Laredo Altitude X 4X4!
What are the deals? I had one a 2021 and miss my dream car
New jeep grand Cherokee looks good for a suv
I’d buy one if they paid off my Tesla lease with two years left and keep me under 500 a month lol but other then that nah I’m good.
No stelantis product
2005 dodge charger wants their window switches back
I was interested and excited to potentially purchase one about a year ago
Their air-conditioning is unacceptable. It could not cool down the car in Arizona.
Is this 24 or 25?
Or you can get a 2003 Corolla if you really need to get anywhere.
Ben is going for a death metal look.
Lol
Infotainment system looks so underwhelming. Looks like theyre lagging 10 years behind in tech.
with what there going threw now..............NOPE ...........if they where giving them away with a free Costco card i would still pass
What engine more reliable 3.6 or 2.0?
It’s CDJR - there is no such thing and reliability.
NA v6
I’ve had good luck with three different 3.6, and the trend is upward, but still lower than competition it seems.

Mazda cx-70 is better
Bought a 2023 and it was a nightmare to own after 10k miles. Do not get this suv
What went wrong?
Too much piano black.

JEEP. Just. Empty. Every. Pocket.
Change the J to H as they are HEEPS watched TK garage about issues with the grand wagoneer /wagoneer ,grand Cherokee L
The competition is flat out superior to the Jeep. Pick any one be it Hyundai/Kia or Honda or Toyota or GM. They are better.
The 3.6L engine is old & very weak, And the prices for new Jeeps are very expensive
IMO Jeep reliability scares me and my friends away from buying. I always loved the jeep grand Cherokee, but would never buy one because I'm afraid it will die on me around 80K
Lease it then.

Ben. Seriously shave that beard.
Heeps are hot trash. Only way they can move them is with money on the hood.
What’s a value if they are complete piles of trash. Honestly, a large portion of the ones for sale on Autotrader are buybacks. Trash!
Very nice SUV but its overpriced
Still a POS @ any price
Junk
Buying CDJR is never a good deal- worst quality on earth.
