This video was really helpful as I recently got a job offer that offered 200,000 yen p/m and I had nowhere to compare it to. Thank you for such a useful video and I hope you continue to provide such useful info even in the future. (+1 subscriber)
Great video, I have a few friends living and working over there. For English teacher, since covid it has become pretty hard to find a decent paying job, in the big cities at least. My friend has worked for the same Eikaiwa for 10 years and is on 350K yen, but he virtually runs the business day to day, writes all the teaching material ect. You'd be lucky to start a job on more than 210K these days. IT specialists can earn great money if they get hired by a foreign company, Lawyers with decent Japanese the same. If the yen stays weak starting a new life in Japan will be a challenge
Very helpful !! I am a licensed architect in my country so planning to apply in a Architectural Company in Japan. I am very interested how very convenient houses in Japan is. Thank you
The big cities have plenty of supply, if you get a job there then look for apartments in areas near your office (by train line). If you don't mind walking look for places that are a 15 minute walk for the train/subway station and you'll find a decently sized place for around $600-1,000 USD a month.
What about if you don’t really search for job in Japan but a Japanese company call you out, offer you a job that they want you desperately work for them ? With your current salary is $5k, will that company offer you much higher ? Thank you in advance for your answer.
actualy if you think about it they are in the middle, so could be worse. Let's just be glad they still exist, with this birth rate, child care workers or teachers a going to extint

Who says nobody wants to be a diplomat or professor? >< (Probably can't but would if I could 😂)
"I know no-one watching this video is planning to work as diplomats or university professors" Never say never mate!
It's sad to see nurses and child care workers so poorly paid. Also, that Truck Driver is about to die.
