    The evolution from "I wonder how long that guy has done this to perfect his craft" to Chef Motokichi considering Andrew his friend and giving him his tongue stew recipe is heart warming!

      Andrew's journey of making friends through the show is worthy of a series... oh wait, we have the series!

    i admire Andrew's learning spirit so much: observes keenly, listens to a master, faces failures on and on, self-corrects as he goes along, and most of all, never gives up. what a warrior. we can all learn from him.

    • @YourPalJamieEllis
      @YourPalJamieEllis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I honestly think about his first omurice video a lot. It's like the platonic ideal of how to learn quickly and fearlessly. Just hurl yourself into walls of failure over and over knowing it won't be good for a while.

    The first time when Andrew make the Omurice is where the seed was sowed and Eating Your Feed was when the seed sprout. Now we have About To Eat where the flower had started to bloom. You guys are making great content can’t wait to see more from you guys.

    Andrew's evolution in his love and respect for food and cooking has been wonderful to watch over the years. The initial Worth It episode to posting a compilation of his attempts to make omurice shows such a vast difference in Andrew's knowledge and skills, and it's very sweet to see. Adding the fact that Chef Motokichi adores and respects him so deeply to give him a recipe for the ox tongue stew, oh my heart.

  • @Senefra
    @Senefra 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I have to say, seeing Adam smile & laugh a bit at 7:54 really made my day a bit better. I've seen all of these videos at one time or another but to have this put in a chronologically cohesive order with interstitial discussions between them from the creators really was a different, equivocally enjoyably experience and hope ATE will do more of these, given their original channels will allow them to do so, as some as most of them were part of the Buzzfeed network initially. Should it ever happen, Rie, Alvin & Inga individually, because they have such distinctive styles and narration, merits enough for a compilation series. Rie would be insightful & soothing, Inga ebullient & energetic, and Alvin's low speaking self reflective humor might end up being one of the best ASMR sessions.

    In that first one, Andrew looks so young, so innocent, so stubbly, but really he looks so inexperienced but eager to learn and to see him now, how far he's come. He has a different stature, a confidence in his ability that comes across without even cooking. Great job man! Not that you'll ever see this on a 2 year old video

I wouldn't say this is my normal style of content. But something about this show is really comforting. The cast is all so likeable and down to earth.
