At some point of the video, I felt that he needed to point out that his dish was goingt to be a casual gulity-pleasure snack with a little twist one it but, he didn't. Overall, they all did a great job and really looking-good dishes.

The funny thing is, Andrew's dish is probably the one most people watching this video will make because it looks the easiest to do. Most people have the majority of those ingredients at home and the rest you can just run to any grocery store to grab. You don't need to know any special techniques or need any special equipment. The most you need is an oven to toast the bread and a knife to cut it and the pickles and to spread the peanut butter on. Add the chili oil and done and done.

I got a huge bottle with me back to India (my home country) and my mother got so obsessed with it, she HAD to have more! But with the pandemic (and some political issues between India and China), buying Lao Gan Ma was pretty hard so my mother decided to make her own version of the chili crisp using Kashmiri chilis, and she was MINDBLOWINGLY successful! We now eat it with roti, paratha, khichdi, heck I've had it with dosa, dhokla, upma, poha, and my mother even likes it as a topping on her Bhujia Sev that she eats with her evening chai. I still love the OG Lao Gan Ma to bits, but my mom's chili crisp hits all the right spots too!

Andrew's sandwich reminds me of my mom's quick cheat satay sauce which she makes for snack time and it's packs a flavor punch. She makes it using peanut butter, ground coriander, chilli oil, canned coconut milk, fish sauce and lime juice. I'm telling you it's yummy.

In Mexico, there is something called "chile de aceite" aka chillie oil. It is often used on boiled and sliced potatoes or cucumbers and eaten as a snack. Is simple, but it is really good when you want a savory snack.
I feel like Andrew might actually know more about Asian techniques in cooking than we think. In some of the behind the scenes of worth it, you can see that his curiosity goes beyond just "where did this come from" a lot of it is "how did this come about and then what else." I'm sure there was a lot more discussed than what is shown to us.
