oh hell yea baby..we have the same mods but i still haven’t got the time yet to install mine. good thing my words on telling you to install the spherical suspension got to you lol.
I put SPL rear lca on mine quite a few years ago now when I lowered it on springs. Important lesson learned: if doing it using a jack, have a second jack to push the arm and shock into alignment to get the bolt through. I think I spent about 30 min on the fronts and about 8 hours on the rears, most of which was using my chicken arms to bench press the car and get that bolt through! Hindsight!
@@cradilyz Wasn't an issue of raising the car, but of compressing the lowering springs enough so the bolt at the bottom would go through the LCA. Jack stands + jack could work but I learned such things afterwards...
Kevin, For the FR-S, Could you do an instructional video on how to replace the two rubber bushings of the rear knuckle with the SPL spherical bearing replacement kit? Thanks buddy. Kindest regards, Don B.
It's funny you mention not liking the jamnut, because specifically the rear UCA for the Veloster N utilizes this on the chassis side. Granted, it isn't the side you would be adjusting however. It specifically has a hefty amount of loctite on that one.
If you're looking for an OEM+ upgrade and you don't need any extra adjustment they're a good option to help stiffen that rear up, but unless you're sticking with the stock ride height, most people need adjustable rear lower control arms to dial in the camber in the rear after lowering the car.
Have you seen a difference with the whiteline roll center kit? I have it on my Legacy - can't tell if it's done a ton, but that's because the car is a 2003 econobox. Trying to figure out if I should do it for my 22 BRZ
Yeeee, finally the fr-s is back❤️
yeahhhhh
Back with a vengeance!
Heck yes on the string alignment! Also, SPL makes some amazing stuff
bro idk how you dont have 100k subs yet, you are killing it keep it coming
Appreciate the love! We're going to keep on grinding!

Gotta go faster next year!

use jackstands

My favorite part was when I got to see that header under the skid plate. Now I need to see it on the GR86..!!
Well it just snowed so we're going to have to wait it out 😭
Weight reduction yes! Looking forward for that episode 👍
Can't wait to dial in my suspension this winter. Want my FRS to feel like it's on rails!
You and me both!
@Kevin Vo Any thoughts on axle alignment, diff risers/ subframe risers after lowering these cars? Maybe a future video? Thanks!
Don't think it's a drastic issue unless you're very very low and are running a lot of camber.
Finally some good stuff ;)
We're just getting started!!
Kevin,
Did you use the short version or the OEM version Front sway bar link? If you used the OEM version, did you have any interference issue?
Kevin,
For the FR-S, Could you do an instructional video on how to replace the two rubber bushings of the rear knuckle with the SPL spherical bearing replacement kit?
Thanks buddy.

The FRS is in shambles :'(
You need to resurrect the FR-S 🙏
That car has to be fun to drive
It's a blast!
Stock sway bar 😮?
Got the spl lowers!

The jamnut design can be cumbersome sometimes. It does work though haha
Are the red flexible hoses that lead to the back of the brake rotors for cooling?
Yes, they're brake ducts that feed air from the fog light bezels to the brakes. th-cam.com/video/hJIcyiRl0ug/w-d-xo.html
5:43 Excellent way to damage the threads. Tip: Next time smack the side of the knuckle to vibrate the joint loose.
With the nut on top, it's very unlikely you'll cause any damage.
@@KevinVo Don't say I didn't warn ya. Just lending the risk free method of proper execution.
What the heck is that red tube with silver rings that is going to the front knuckle? I'm don't remember seeing that on other FRS/BRZ?
Those are brake ducts that help to cool the brakes.
Hey Kevin! You’re the perfect guy to ask: what do you know about the STI (BRZ) trailing link set and lateral link set? Designed for the tS.
If you're looking for an OEM+ upgrade and you don't need any extra adjustment they're a good option to help stiffen that rear up, but unless you're sticking with the stock ride height, most people need adjustable rear lower control arms to dial in the camber in the rear after lowering the car.
Speaking of FRS/BRZ>86
Is posible to swap the complete 2gen dash into the earlier generation????
Are these a good option for a all year daily driver & how’s the maintenance for them?
Why not upgrade the sway bars?
Great video! What splittter you running?
Looks like verus engineering
How’s it going Brotha! I just installed my SPL front lower control arms on my 22’ brz. My steering is definitely stiffer than before. Is this normal?
Why go uel? Is el not better?
Wait so if my bushings are bad can I just do this? Or do I actually have to replace the bushings
If your bushings are bad you're going to want to replace them.
Does the original GT86 have the slots in the toe arm mounts? 🤔
Yes

Difference isn't going to be that noticeable when just driving on the street, but it's definitely noticeable on the track.
It depends on ride height and on how stiff your suspensions are
A bit unrelated but damn the FRS/GT86 front end looks so much meaner and cooler than the GR86. And this is coming from a GR86 owner 🤣
The previous gen face is so much more fitting to the new power figures
I honestly love both of them! I think the GR86 still looks aggressive, but more sophisticated and less boy racer.
How do you know the specs to put the front whiteline endlinks?
th-cam.com/video/WnEqvBrKCUU/w-d-xo.html
You shouldn't hit the nut to the knuckles hut spindle arm and trailing arm its better so you don't damage th nut or bushing.
What headlights
Nice car
Thanks!
