Damn this is awesome I’m saving to purchase my first BRZ! Watching your content helps me understand more about the intricacy behind the mechanics. I don’t know jack but I’ll learn as I go.
Hi guys thanks for the informative video. Stupid question .. I’m looking at upgrading the front and rear sway bars for my 22 brz but they come in different sizes. How do I know what size to get and what is the difference ?? Thanks
The size is the thickness of the bar. A thicker bar means stiffer suspension. It all depends on what you plan to do to the car! We are very happy with our Eibach kit!
Quick question, I'm seeing a few TH-cam videos by guys talking about silicone in the pick-up tube of the engine. Potentially could be an issue. Are they using silicone instead of a gasket? That would really piss me off as this same issue happened on my 1996 Corvette where the silicone dried up and started leaking.
Every modern car uses a liquid or silicone gasket somewhere in the drivetrain. The liquid gasket technology has improved greatly since your poor experience in 1996. The oil pickup issue you're referring to seems to be a one-off manufacturing defect where they used an excess of the material.
can confirm just had my 22 brz with 7k miles suffer catastrophic failure of the connecting rod cylinder 4. was accelerating onto the hwy at about 6500 rpm when mr rodney came a knockin not turning right either i was pretty much in a straight line. 16k warranty repair subaru gave me an entire brand new engine from block to top. worst part was having to drive a crosstrek for a month while my car was in surgery
...maybe the bolts in the arms, but not extremely necessary as it is not a main load carrier. He obviously didn't use a torque wrench anywhere during the install; just an impact driver
will never understand why people torque suspension parts with wheels off the ground ... you'd think they'd know they need to be torqued with vehicle at FULL LOAD ...
The eibach bars are hollow, yes? Or are they solid?

Hell yeah! We will keep the content coming!
Can you install sway bars without loweing Springs? I want less.body roll but for day to day usability i dont want the car to be lower

@@maperformance thanks guys I believe these are 25mm and 19mm rear is this correct ? .. 😊
if I want to fly sideways, it is better to have anti roll or not?
Great change!
Thanks for your review and information 👍
Someone on the internet said Eibach bars rub or bind, cause some sort of issue. Is this true?
We have not had any issues with ours!
It's a really good handling car already.
It is, but the added stiffness really makes it more confident in the corners!
@@maperformance I do want some sway bars for my 13 BRZ but they're kind of at the bottom of the list. Well below new clutch 😄

Do you know the thickness of the OEM Anti-Roll ?
No, but I'm sure that could be found somewhere on the internet! What we do know is that these Eibach sways are significantly thicker!

Thanks for your quick response 👍
Do you have to preload the suspension first before any torque is apply?
