I would really like to hear a 1930s/'40s big-band cover of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," done with a Glenn Miller-like orchestra and a Ray Eberle-style singer. I think it would be beautiful, and the lyrics wouldn't be anachronistic at all...though I'm not sure how common astronomical metaphors were in song lyrics during the WWII era.
would love to see them with Kid rock together. It would be nice to know he (himself) acknowledging the girls talent taking his song to another new level. I love to hear them turning such powerful heavy metal to something so pleasurable to hear - no too fan of heavy
