When I first heard a gospel choir sing Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" at the 1999 MTV Music Awards, I was blown away by the concept of taking a contemporary song and performing it in a completely different style. Almost 20 years later, here I am doing exactly that. Enjoy my 1940s Andrews Sisters version of one of the most ridiculous songs of our time!

4 of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. ( upright bass must not be over looked ). As a musician and performer myself, I pay attention to every detail, and this crew nails it. I think I just fell in love with the alto on our left of the lead. Every one did an amazing job. This is one of those moments when the TH-cam algorithm gets it right. So good!

I think this was the Andrews Sisters B-Side. Their producer shelved it saying, kids are not ready yet, give it a few decades.

I love this Era but personally I would never wear a suit and tie now. The last time I wore a tie was in 1990 at a wedding, now I just wear a black Walmart T-shirt with a sports jacket, black jeans, and black Sketchers. I will never wear a tie or business suit for the rest of my life.

Okay, hear my out. I've been following Robyn for years first on PMJ and then on her own channel and I kept wondering what set her apart from a lot of the other vocalists on PMJ. I mean, I love so many of them with their unique voices. Joey, Haley, Thia, Blake, Casey, Darcy, etc. the list goes on and on. But Robyn was the one I actively kept watching and I couldn't figure out why. I thought, well she covered the most unconventional songs of my youth. I was born in 1985. So my musical taste that was my own (not gifted to me from my parents aka 60's,70s,80,s) but my own 90's. She covered things I never thought could. Music that I never thought could be made to sound actually good. She took on the most challenging songs I could imagine. Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock. But also took on favorites like Eminem (7th grade thank you) and gave me a taste of Nostalgia when I was 10 and hanging out in my uncles shop in the Valley Vintage Buzz and a cute high school employee taught me to swing dance inbetween racks. Clothing racks also. ;) But all this I considered and I finally figured it out. Her facial expressions. She has a tick or lift or smirk to every beat or twing or change-up. She looks straight at the camera and challenges you as a moving tapestry. It's awesome. I wonder if she has theater background?
