WOW... YOU ROCK GIRL , GREAT WORK ..LOVE THE VIOLIN....😲👏👍👍👍
Loved it ALL!! INCREDIBLE!!🤝🏽🎼🇺🇲🕶
You should change the words 'boy' to 'gal'
Devil Went Down to Georgia
THANK YOU!!
Mia don't worry what others have to say, you have way more than millions out there coukd ever dream of, TALLENT, LOOKS, PERSONALITY, and full on cuteness
That is first female version of the song I have ever herd and it was spectacular. Madam, you deserve the Fidel of gold.
Viva Fidel!
It's fiddle 😂😂😂
@@heatherlowe7330 are you talking about a violin? fiddle is one style of playing
ever 'heard'
Considering what that multi stringed electric violin will be worth when the maker retires, she has the golden fiddle. And the sound that comes out of it is a lot more valuable than gold.
Mia is one of the few who when playing their instrument will smile and show you their beautiful soul
It always amazes me how much talent is out there with little recognition.
The good of social media ..promote own your work
@@rsimpkins1601 , That's a good point. TH-cam videos and such give us a lot of variety. I don't know how much the content maker benefits. I hope it's good for them too.
Are you on crack? Vid has 5 *million* views and it was uploaded only 2 months ago.
Both of these artists get TONS of recognition. It's pretty much impossible to spend a whole day in the youtube music scene without coming across at least one of them.
Doing this from memory without rehearsal is insane
Hahahaha it was tough but we got through it!
Muscle memory is crazy dude
@@MiaAsanoY’all must have started your 10,000 hours of practice in daycare. 😂
It was absolutely amazing, but never forget, the internet is a lie. It was rehearsed, and they knew the person who asked them to play it. There is no need to make it seem on the spot. It was fantastic.
@@samuraichilton Yup, most of these street performers on TH-cam are rehearsed and staged. Just good for entertainment.
I just know Charlie Daniels is smiling down on you. Great to see young people keeping great music alive. Charlie Daniels was the very first concert I saw when I was a teen.
Legend has it that when the crowd dispersed and all recording was done, Johnny came down from Georgia and laid that golden fiddle at Mia's feet.
Yes he sure did.
What if Johnny was the devil the whole time?🤯
@@HHLucifer666 Then he had the fiddle Fed Exed.
Honestly the only cover i think i've heard of devil went down to georgia.
That takes real guts to even try such an epic classic, and i think this was an excellent live recording pulled off in one take.
Beautiful perception
Nickelback and Korn both released covers.
uhhh... Primus?!
Mia knew the song.
Dovydas the way he set up his support did a fantastic job.
Listen to the Levellers when they did it live. th-cam.com/video/pYYbc1IOBm0/w-d-xo.html I was lucky enough to be there in Glastonbury and all over the UK when I used to follow them back in the day.
You can all stop telling me how much you hate my singing now, I get it. I’m a violinist not a vocalist lol
I thought your voice was great!
I enjoyed it myself
I thought it was fine. Making it your own is what it's all about.
Thank you for sharing Mia, your performance was absolutely amazing!
It's all good. I have heard MUCH worse. You were at least having fun.
Saw your comment about not being a vocalist and wanted to say you have a beautiful voice. Loved hearing both of you play and that you sang it well and made it your own. Truly wonderful.
Hell, she did pretty well I thought also.
Just a bit of extra training and she'd be a sell-out where ever she sang!
Would've been way more boring if they(collectively) just did it straight. You gotta nail the fiddle, because that's the showoff part, but it's a cover. You gotta make it your own or what's the point? Plus, like, live and unplanned? Even the OGs don't do it right like the album cut live. So for what looks closer to busking than a proper structured show set, it's amazing, and I'm so glad I clicked on it. :-D I don't even go here, this was a blind algorithm rec, but I might be subbing now.
She's got a great voice, she's a great violinist and she's gorgeous. Great job to both of you.
Unreal love this
Things that come in three's. AWESOME.😈😈😈
Ok. She is beautiful and plays beautifully, too.
But SING?!?? STOP IT. She was off key the entire time!!🙄😂🤪🤣😆
@@walkwagShe was pitch perfect. It’s the instruments that are out of tune.
@@walkwag Thank you. I thought I was the only one who noticed. The fiddle and guitar are amazing. Voice, no, sorry.
Georgia boy here and I can say I am deeply impressed.
Mia-First female version Ive ever heard of this sing. Deeply impressed. Respect girl. Wow.
People not stopping to listen to this blows my entire brain out of my skull.
CA pricks
Proof that most people don't appreciate music.
I know, like what in the world did they have to do that was better than this??😮
She is a good musician… but growing up on Charlie Daniels. I would not have stopped either.
The guitar did not help. It just sounds off tempo, un melodic and did not match her pitch. And yes I’m a musician. However I still appreciate their bravery.
I just love the smile on the woman's face while she's wailing away! ROCK ON! 🤘
Mia ROCKS
"Son of a Beep" killed me. 🤣
That to be said, your skills both on the fiddle as well as on the mic were pretty awesaome. Go for it girl, you really rock! 🤘
Yes, I'm an old fucker. When this song first came out is was one of my favorites. You two did it justice. Great job.
Their performance was awesome especially for just doing it on the spot. I also have to mention that violin is the coolest and craziest I have ever seen lol
Songwriters leave us, but their music lives on in the hearts and souls of those who love and cherish it. Thank you so much for this performance, Mia. ❤
I've never seen a 7-string violin before, so I had to look it up. It's a "Viper" model made by Wood Violins of Tucson, AZ. They come in 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-string versions. I'd love to hear what the lower strings sound like. Awesome playing!
My 16 year old son has a 5 string Viper. Awesome instrument!
When you play this song, the instrument is a fiddle.
When classical training meets up with a different style!
WOW!
When classical training meets up with a different style!
WOW!
I've got a 6 string electric fiddle. I made cat scratch fever a fiddle tune lol
How privileged were the folk to listen to that .. awesome.
I’m blown away by how not everyone was riveted to this explosion of talented entertainment. I loved this piece
One time, I went to a “dance” club and there was a guitar player in the restroom. I requested “hotel California “ and he started playing it. Half way through the song, people started to sing along and he’d looked worried. He kept on playing, they kept on singing, each verse got hurried more and more. By the end, he did the whole song, people were happy, and he was glad to be done with it. He was compensated very well also. Great times I tell you.
That sounds like that should be in a comedy movie scene. Pictures perfectly in the mind!
@@C-M-Eesq73 told it well
That's a lot of people in the restroom
Whyd he look worried?
@@DA-te7xe they usually just sing the intro. Then you give them a dollar then they stop or play another song.
This has got to be the coolest thing I've ever seen in music! This is pure talent! Both of you knocked it out of the park! Phenomenal!
I'm old enough to remember when this was a new song. Great vocals and exquisite playing on the violin, Charlie is in heaven, smiling 😁
Me to
Also
I saw this played live in Autzen Stadium in Eugene Oregon front row.
Me too, listening on an FM radio :) good times
I've never heard a woman sing this. I was surprised at first, but very quickly grew to love your take on it. Terrific job.
What I just saw was a young Asian woman with the wildest fiddle and bow who in a normal world should not even know the lyrics but also totally nail one of country music’s most complex arrangements step up. Good on you, Mia! You had me when I saw that purple bow!
She has her own IChannel ..and collabs with others on channel…she’s networked with talent
I mean… she’s American. Why shouldn’t she know the lyrics?
I love it when young people resurrect ancient tunes from the Olde Countries to entertain the modern world!
ancient? LMAO
😂😂
@@KayzieHayzie From the Olde Countries? 🤣🤣🤣
Real class!
🤣🤣 Thanks for the laugh.
When I first saw the violin I thought it was a flying-V of some sort, never having seen an electric violin like that.
Then she put it on her shoulder, hit a few licks and took her hands off it..... and it just stayed there on her shoulder like a pet that really wants to please.
And girl you can play!
I'll B Bach... for more
Also subscribed because you spread Happy.
It's a Wood Violin Viper. It has a chest support system that lets you wear it hands free. Takes a lot of pressure off of the vertebrae in your spine, and especially in your neck.
@@justaskin8523 It's a beautifully bioengineered device that should have been invented centuries ago but I guess we're the lucky ones.
To me it falls into the collection of "How did we not think of this years ago?" I love this kind of design work.
@@justaskin8523 Maybe it is easier to sing and play at the same time.
One of my favorite songs & the way it was played was brilliant. I don't mind admitting, it brought a tear to my eye.....Talent...
I’m a musician. Your voice is awesome. Brilliant interpretation too. You didn’t just try to replicate Daniels so straight up you get big points. Plus, I love your reimagining of the devil’s solo. Your friend on the guitar is great too, and he is right to get excited at the end of it, cos you both nailed it. Love ❤️ 👍
“Your friend on the guitar is great too” has to be the best comment out of all of them I read 🤣…they are both pretty amazing for sure
@@Illegallycopyrighted Thanks IllegallyCopyrighted, your comment is much appreciated 😊
Her voice is great, so what if it's not "perfect" at the time she played and sang at the same time! Some folks are just plain jealous!
I've never seen a Flying V Violin before. That thing is sick. Great Job on this classic song.
Katie Jacoby (NYC) has one. Plays Zappa like there is no tomorrow.
It's a Wood Violin, Viper. Couldn't tell if hers is a 5, 6 or 7 string model though. They make some quality stuff. I'd like to have one myself, as I can't properly hold a fiddle anymore due to some neck/shoulder injuries. Super nice piece of kit, either way!
Hats off to this duet! Great to see younger musicians playing some old Charlie D tunes!
Mia has the greatest smile. Brightens my day to see it.
Master of the violin!
Makes me miss Charlie Daniels even more. Awesome performance you two!!!👏
RIP Charlie Daniels.😢
Charlie regretted his support for Jimmy Carter. Hahaha
Beautiful, brave and talented! Never be concerned with the opinions of others who are not also willing to step in your shoes and pull of something like that, AND keep going after a quick goof! You're a true star Mia!!! ❤🎉
Cool. Charlie would be proud of that fiddle playing.
I saw Charlie perform this live, he tore the snot out of the bow, he called a kid probably about 6 or 7 up from the front of the crowd and gifted him that bow right there in stage and just grabbed another out of a bucket full he had up on the stage.
So would Johnny ...and the Devil
That's not a fiddle. That's a guitar with a bow.
Johnny too.
That was awesome Mia. Charlie Daniels is looking down from heaven with a huge smile listening to you shred devil went down to Georgia. Keep it up
Love....love.....love...your rendition of this song. It has so much power and you did it justice. Thanks so very much! Damn!
Just when I couldn't possibly love this classic any more. Awesome job!!
One of my favorite song of all time.... The fact that you did that on the spot has just earned you a new fan!.... 🤟😝
good lord, the combined talent in the video is astounding.
INCREDIBLE!
Absolutely awesome performance Mia Asano❤❤
The lady on the violin can only be described as breathtaking. She’s going places real soon. Excellent.
That's not a violin.
@@stargazer7644 what is it?
@@stargazer7644 It's literally an electric violin. That's her claim to fame.
Violins don't have 7 strings. Violins don't have frets on the fingerboard. It's a guitar being played with a bow. Just because you put it on your shoulder and stroke it with a bow doesn't make something a violin. If I took a violin, held it at my waist and played it with a pick would that make it a guitar? No.
@@stargazer7644 got it.
The beep made it even better 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I grew up on this music. This song in particular was one of my favorites. This girl is Very impressive! She rocked it!
Cannot understand why more arent watching... it was really WOW, wish Id been there
That is the coolest violin I’ve ever seen.
Goosebumps soon as she started playing. And I loved the vocals too
OBSESSED with the emotion you put into the vocals, this whole thing is incredible
Love the way she sang it like it was a real conversation
It is.
Are you kiddin me right now?! Great work. Ole Charlie is saluting you right now. Someone better take that fiddle of gold and give it to you Mia.
The recovery towards the end shows what an absolute _professional_ you are! 👏🏼 👏🏼 Incredibly talented people
For sure. As a beginner on guitar, recovering is difficult even without singing.

Mia is beautiful!! U can feel her energy. Her vibe is so dope! Hope to see her live one day by the beach.
watching her sing and playing was so nice. It made me smile just seeing her play. That is so nice to be able to see someone that puts a smile on your face when she plays. wow
That moment was pretty cute to be fair
This Mia on violen is absolutely breathtakingly talented and beautiful. "Strat"
It would be much better if that picture man wasn't always taking picture and who ever was filming had to film him instead the musicians. He thought he was so important. I thought he was never going to stop taking pictures of the girl, I mean how many did he need?
Great fiddle and nice voice. Fantastic sound production. Awesome all around!
Not only the words, they both got the cords...took me back..awesome performance.
why would they not know the words or chords to a song they chose to play?
@@bobtony6036 man, that went way over your head, didn't it.

The only thing he rocked was air guitar. . So dumb
Have to love the spontaneity of playing in public places😁
Mia, as always, you are great. Your friend is quite fantastic too. Thanks for the music. I love the song. Actually, I loved the song much before I moved to Georgia.
Uh oh.
Found myself tapping my toes, couldn't help it. Fantastic.
Hot damn. You both (violinist and guitarist) did an epic job on it. I think my favorite part was when the violinist beeped out the cussword.
Beautiful. Not to mention it's on the Pier with waves crashing in the background!😮
me too can remember the original as well this is superb 👌 great volin playing cd will be jumping for joy r.i.p Charlie 🙏
Love that Mia censored herself to keep it family friendly.
Yeah, but she could've used the normal radio version--"you son of a gun"--from Charlie Daniels himself
I think her self censoring of it added some humor to the song.
I saw her that day and it was awesome. It was hard to believe some just ignored the performance and kept walking down the pier.
Congratulations! That’s fricken awesome! You’re the type of buskers I could listen to all day long! Totally awesome.
That was amazing fiddle playing and a very entertaining performance. The singing gave a great frame of reference for the tune and was just a super cute effort. Again the fiddle playing & guitar playing were awesome. Thanks for sharing this.👊👏👍
Hands down one of the best songs ever written. Love the rendition.

HOT, HOT, HHHHHHHHOT !! As a family of violin players 5 generations back. That new fangled violin is awesome. You have made me want to get out my old violin to see what is left as a grandma of 65. And introduce an up and coming violin playing granddaughter to a new style of violins.
I can't believe and don't understand why more people didn't stop to enjoy and be fascinated with all that talent! May be people are just to occupied with there cell phones.

I am impressed and as stunned as I was when I heard this done in 1976. CD was doing southern college tours back then and was on the road to being discovered. I’m just a yankee boy who was floored by his fiddle and bands new direction to take country music. It wasn’t released until 1979 so I consider myself fortunate. May you be as blessed as CD was. He’d be totally impressed with your ability.
Now give Ghostriders in the Sky a fiddle rendition. That would be great. And something original too.
