    I'm super glad I came across your channel. I have a 2007 colorado that just broke the timing chain on and I wanna LS swap it, Possibly with a turbo. I hope I can learn from your experience.

    Keep posting bro, love the vids. I just got a 2007 Chevy Colorado lt myself. Planning on doing a ls build on it myself!

      2007 musta been their shittiest year cuz mine took a shiit and the lifters seized up. Engineering and Ownership are definitely to blame. I'm the second owener. Gotta be changing the oil religiously on this truck. I rebuilt the head and now it runs like new, but I wish I couldve thrown an LS in it.

    Damn paint cost going up, I remember Maaco doing single stage paint jobs for like $250 or $300 back then lol.

    Looking to do a swap on mine. I will more than likely go your route and buy as much plug and play components as I can. If I do the swap I just want to be able to bolt it all up with out hacking and rigging stuff. Thanks mentioning what you paid for stuff helps alot!

      What year do you have? If you have an 04-07 canyon/Colorado they don’t make the full plug and play harness anymore because some plugs were discontinued.. but they do still make a integration harness which you will still need a standalone ecu and with built in Trans control, and the the integration harness allows you plug into say a Holley terminator xmax and still utilize the trucks OEM ecu to control cluster, ac, lights etc

    • @drizziog492
      @drizziog492 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And also to run the integration harness you must use a gen 4 ls motor with 58x tooth reluctor wheel for crank signal

      I’ll do a full cost breakdown at some point soon!

      @@drizziog492 aww I have an 07 2.9 auto canyon. That's sucks about the harness being discontinued.

      @@fixedoncars I have a 08 Colorado and donor 6.0 from a 05 GMC Yukon Denali and was wondering if the parts from the 6.0 would work or if i would have to buy specific wiring harnesses.

    Great video!! I bought my son a 2008 GMC canyon just like yours single cab he’s had it through high school and after he graduates college I’m gonna start doing this and so that’s why I’m already planning for it now and to see what I need and start getting things that I need especially the expensive stuff like that wiring harness and all that good stuff so thank you. I’m definitely a new subscriber forward to the rest of the videos.!!
    Hey, I do have one question how is the transmission holding up to that V8? I’m wondering if we should upgrade the transmission my son has a five speed also!! Thanks 👍💯

      Fatbot makes a kit for the Inline-5 to V8 swap. However, why not just buy a factory built V8 Canyon/Rado from a used dealer?

    I have a good poly steering wheel out of my 05 make me an offer. I'd give it a solid B I'm just slowly replacing all the interior pieces I can while NOS is still available.

      9Six9 6-1 wheels. I believe you can use the factory struts in the rear. Not in the front.

    My 3.7 seized.... im told because of cheap oil filters from oil change chains???? Used motor with same mileage here is $3200, and 400 more for a 6 month warranty. Pfft! Disheartening!!! Dunno. Good luck with your build.
    Mine is a 4 door, 4x4, auto trans. I'll need to see how much that costs me using Canuckistan dollars.... if I think I can handle the cost, and work, it will get a lift, tires, and stay with me for a good while. While watching videos and other research, I'll be insulating the garage and adding a furnace for the fall/winter to possibly get er done.
