Beautiful demonstration and showroom. Correct me if I'm wrong but those look like Polk Signature series on the floor. Is this because of the purchase of B&W by Sound United? If exotic HiFi sound can be had for what that series retails, then I would have no qualms. Are they at all comparable?

well i bought an ma 12000 ,and the amp humming itself, dont know does it come from the transformer, or from the tubes or another electronic device inside the amp, this buzzing is just inside the amp it is not going to my xr100 speakers, i mail to mcintosh never got an awnser,,this is how alleged great mcintosh is??

British speakers are the best in the world no matter what sources you listen to.
Those 800D3 Nats are sick speakers. Eventually i will win the lottery and replace my NHT 3.3 Reference series with those speakers. But I will still keep my Krell kSA300S amps because they are way better than McIntosh. I have 2 pb16 ultras i bought not to long ago and i love them. SVS knows Subs.

The MA12000 looks beautiful and sounds nice but I can tell it hasn’t been fully broken in. Give it 500-1000hrs of burn in and get back to me.
BTW, I have the MVP881BR, C52 & MC462 in my System. PHENOMENAL!

@@omgwtfpwnd I don't care about your belief and unwilling to test things by yourself, take any silver and non-silver coated wires and make blind tests, I share quite comprehensive info for those who don't believe, "just try and you'll see", no one advised to me such a valuable info back in time, sound changes cannot be monitored with testers and other equipment, if you don't hear difference than it means there are issues with ears or musical setup.
@@alext8410 Not so long ago there was no need to debunk the myriad of myths surrounding the audio (especially high end) industry which was once based on objectivity and the scientific method. When distortion, response and noise were no longer issues even in the most modestly priced hardware, the high end segment had to rely upon cock & bull BS in order to justify its "raison d'etre". Those engaging in this type of activity might well be described as "audio whores" who, rather than educating, instead choose to exploit the underinformed. Well I guess the economy needs its sheep and those taking advantage of them would've made Jordan Belfort proud.

Well I never owned a good quality stereo due to my own stupidity after I got out of the Navy and 76 I had Army buddy that had a 300 watt per channel McIntosh his speaker cabinets were as big as a recliner he played The White Album for me blew me right out of my chair the unit was bought in Germany for $5,000

Not impressed, I've heard just as good sound from other amplifiers CD players and Changers just as good oh, just put a good pair of speakers on it and it will sound just like a Macintosh. Not impressed.

Very well done. You really picked up the acoustic of the room, and with that equipment, it sounded like a concert hall. Made clear the difference a very expensive set-up can actually make.

The MA12000 has a power rating of 350 watts and the 802 d3 can handle 50-500 watts. So I conclude this is a good match in power wattage. Would the 802s perform better with a MC 462 [450 watt rating]?

Just blessed to finish my first full McIntosh stack (C712,MR7084,MCD7009,MC7150) with Klipsch speakers and OHHHH MMMMYYY......its a sound of a McIntosh system that just melts away the stress and puts your inner mind into the music for you to stay lost in.

Sounds really good, but it doesnt sound like $30,000 worth of gear......some people just have the money to burn which is nice.
McIntosh 9500 and ma12000 had a disaster in Taiwan. The transformer had humming noise. The original factory did not deal with the problem. So there are many 2 mobile phones in the world.

Maybe start experimenting with positioning first assuming you haven’t done so already? And then minimise reflections
Try a different DAC. That would be the most plausible solution short of switching the speakers or amp.

How does this compare to seperates of McIntosh. Such as a c2600 preamp and 611 monoblocks? That's what I may go after next. Between those or this McIntosh integrated or a gryphon Diablo 300m decisions decisions
