My thoughts are that it needed a host that would be born in the same lifetime as those ants. As well as a host strong enough to withhold all its power, as well as have the mental strength to coexist as one
I love the fact that Netero wasn't satisfied with his expedition simply because there was nothing there that he could actually fight. Like he wasn't scared, just disappointed lol.
Ew no. He literally says "there is no victors and losers in the dc. Only survival". What he meant was that anything that recognized that netero was stronger would try its best to escape, and anything that tries to kill him would only do it to survive. Everything is hostile, everything is fighting for survival, winning one battle means nothing if injuries are sustained. Nothing fights because they like it or want to grow stronger through the experience. Everything fights to survive. No winners to show mercy to losers, no victory is followed by a glorious celebration, no shame in running away, cowardice and bravery are equally meaningless in the dark continent. That's why it's not a place for someone with a mind as simple as netero, who seeks pleasure in fighting with the strong.
The dark continent is not a place for warriors who want to find a good battle/enemy, rather is a place for adventurers who want to do new discoveries for the humankind.
It's implied in the translated text that during his first expedition, Netero and co only made it to the shoreline before they turned heel. I'm betting that Netero went back a second time in search for Don Freecss, as someone who survived so long on that Hellish Continent surely would provide a worthy challenge. I have a feeling he successfully hunted down Don and had his expectations completely dashed by what he found.
@@juliuscasar7202 he was likely close to the shore line , and by close i mean a few months time away from the shore line , and likely used nen to sense strong human like energy.
yeah. To be fair though, HxH is a little more "refined" than One piece in pretty much every aspect. Story, character design, char development, world building, power system, etc.
Honestly the art of hunterxhunter is amazing but the big thing I keep coming back to is the story telling. Amazing. Here's to hoping Togashi's health improves regardless though

@@hematite9914 Not that big of a jump. He came down when 1 punch could break the sound barrier, he didn't do all 10k in a fraction of a second (I think that would be faster than the speed of light). 10k in an hour means he was punching 36 times a second.
Well there were 28 survivors, only 3 went back to their normal daily lives. So another possibility is also that he's just one of the 25 and didn't go exactly back to what he was doing before the journey (whatever that means).
Exactly. It was only said that they weren't able to integrate back to society. Meaning there are survivors, but the trauma hit them so hard that they can't function as they normally would.
I had a theory about Zigg that I noticed during the Anime. When Silva was mentioning that Alluka wasn't human, he looked up at the ceiling at the really obscure piece of decoration. I always thought that Aye came back with Zigg, and when his time came and he passed, Aye left and went into the unborn Alluka and Zigg's remains were fused into the ceiling. Silva kept his grandfather's remains up there as a reminder of what Nanika is capable of.

Don Freeces is one of the most intriguing characters to me. He must be one of if not the most powerful characters in the series at this point if he can live for centuries in a place that most can't survive at all.
Ging stated that good people is oftenly recognize and easily be friended by animals. and theres a theory that Don Freecsss has this ability where he can easily tame any types of animal or creature he encountered. if thats the case. there is chance that that theory is correct. it also answered why he could survive in dark continent. i think being powerful and intelligent is not enough to survive to the dark continent because there are so many animals creatures that could attack you at any time and it will tire you off. there should be a bonus or some sort of almost impossible ability that Don Freecsss has.
Remember in Berserk, when Guts was stuck on that boat for 7 years, because Miura disappeared to play Idol Master. Yeah, it's been 2 and a half years and we're still on a boat in HxH. See you guys in 5 years, when Togashi starts writing again lol.
its so sad... its better if he had not started than to leave all HxH fans on a cliff hanger... this is even worse than what attack titan creator's did....
So many people "didn't return", it very reasonable to conclude that some stayed. Maybe for a higher reason we are unaware off. Maybe there is even a settlement over there, of practically meta humans.
I think Zigg was one of the ones who technically survived but was never able to rejoin society. Beyond the fact that the Zoldycks already have a literal wall of separation between themselves and the rest of the world, I think Zigg came home possessed by an Ai, who later either became or gave birth to Nanika on his death. There's no reason Maha can't have a late brother; Zeno's wife is still alive last time she was mentioned, but has been a complete ghost outside of one silhouette in one of the anime music videos.
Makes sense why Netero created the hunter organization, and why he allowed anyone to take it. He needed the strongest of the strongest to be able to traverse the dark continent, no matter if they were bad people.
He didn't create it, he was the 12th Chairman in history But interestingly enough, Don creating the Hunter Association would match up with the timeline
@@NewWorldReview I'll explain it to you, Ging's real ability is time traveling, togashi showing it in front of us since the beginning of Hunter x Hunter, also Ging is Don, Ging just changed his name so no one will know that he is Don, you see, the face of Ging when Gon and Killua is listening to the cassette, togashi put Ging while he is talking and his face is more matured than the Ging from election arc and the dinosaurs where he sits is so big and also the tree, the election arc ging said that the real world tree is above the atmosphere of the earth and the tree where ging is with the dinosaurs is so big that it's above of the atmosphere of the earth. Don is from the timeline where there's no hunter association and he's done writing the east book of dark continent, Don came 300 years in the past and brings 3 things with him, 3rd : the book he gives to the hunters, he and the book is the reason why the hunter association is built remember that 10 years later just when he give the book to the hunters then the hunter association is built, 2nd : the ring and memory card of greed island for gon 3rd : BABY GON, maybe he brings gon to his past self whose ging of election arc to give it also to mito that can take care to gon because you know, maybe the west part of dark continent is more dangerous than the west so he gave the book, and gon before he goes to west part so gon will be safe. Remember that in the succession war where mito ask him if he want to go with ging in the boat to dark continent, gon said that he don't want to go with ging, Ging feels like just an uncle for gon and not a father because his real father is the future Ging ( Don ) that is in the west part finishing the book. Also in the election arc ging said that if he makes his target move then he succeed as a hunter that's why he wants the hunter to move/go to the dark continent. So the Hunter x Hunter is not Gon, it's Ging!
I like the theory that he was so annoyed that everything on the DC was stronger than him that he decided to become the strongest person in the world lmao
Netero is actually more than 150 years old. Because he said to morel that it's been a century since he was the strongest nen user. The fight with zenos grandfather and beat him was the declaration that he was the strongest and he was already an old man. So add one century to it.
'Nitro Rice' 'Dark Continent' and they always spoke of different types of Hunters in the Hunter association. Are we completely sure Toriko doesn't secretly take place in the same world as HxH?
What I'm mostly curious about is to know... Who will survive the dark continent? For Isaac Netero to have so much trouble going to that place, the requirements for survival must be really high. For example, I don't see killua or gon (before "loosing" his nen) surviving that place. I feel like the only ones capable of traveling are the top of the strongest hunters. And even if individuals like Ging or Chrollo fight at 100%... I can't picture them going unscratched. The dark continent will require some sacrifices.
What if the reason Netero was so disgusted and infuriated by Meruem is because he's seen similar Chimera Ant creatures on the Dark Continent, and knows just how low on the food chain they are, so after who knows how many decades of training and preparation, when he finally comes face to face with the 'Ant' (as he constantly labels him), only to find that even he couldn't defeat him in a fair fight, he realised just how hopeless Humanity's position in the world as a whole was, and he fought with ferocious fury and disdain against that idea. The thought that the absolute pinnacle of Humanity (at least, that's what he likely believed himself to be), couldn't even defeat an Ant of the Dark Continent, literally the lowest of the low, was too much to swallow for him.
He wasn’t disgusted against the king. He even said he loved the king for giving him a challenge, what netero strived for his whole life . He was amused by the king thinking he was the pinnacle of all creation , when netero himself said that meruem needs to stop underestimating humans. Since it was a human creation that killed meruem
"at least, that's what he likely believed himself to be" - No he quite clearly stated at one point that he used to be the strongest nen user over 50 years ago but now he's more or less even with morel and knov (lol, i know), down to only half his strength from 50 years ago. Now we can argue about if he was being humble or not but that's still a far cry from the word you used "likely"
naw if the king had a lifetime to live get stronger and train he would be unstoppable. I bet he would be a king in the dark continent. He wasn't even a year old just a baby. I think Meruem would have ruled the world in time.
if thats the case, then don freecs must possibly be 10x or more stronger than netero to be casually documenting the dark continent which i doubt. meruem could probly be mid tier or more in the dark continent
The thing about Zigg that interests me is how different his expression is in that one panel of him we have compared to his companions, both of whom are clearly shocked. In comparison, his manic grin seems weird, and could definitely be evidence for the idea of Zigg staying on the Dark Continent.
This, its almost like a "thats my fetish" type of grin, the other two look severely concerned and almost in a downright panic by what they are witnessing, and his looks like one of interest. Netero did state it wasn't a place for him, and everything seems to point to the fact that the DC is a savage, wild place with unimaginably strong creatures who fight for survival 24/7. I'm betting Zigg, like Don possibly, took a liking to this type of environment for whatever reason and actually stayed.
Fun Fact: In an interview togashi talked about what Netero found. When Netero went to the dark continent he was surprised at what he discovered. It was the Red Subscribe button, he took it back home and it continues to provide HxH content into his feed.
In theory, the massive amount of land is either of a medium to large planet. We're talking about a place that has incredibly large masses of land compared to the Earth, so I estimate it must be at least a few dozens of times larger, if not more. Considering the fact that the continents of the human world aren't even 1/5 of the entire world, I'd say it's accurate to assume it's at least a Saturn-sized planet, in which case, this story takes place in a planet a little more than a thousand times the size of the Earth. If this is correct, we might, at some point, witness something similar to how, in the hunter's exam, helped people float in mid-air. Thus, this may confirm two things: 1. The actual amount of unexplored territory is, as far as the expansion is concerned, quite literally 99.9% of the whole planet, whereas the known continents is 0.01% of the whole. 2. Gravity, temperatures, creatures and biodiversity will be brimming with an extremely wide arrangement of environments that, at best, ar barely suitable for human lives, which would explain why only the most skilled hunters have barely managed to survive. Additionally, this confirms that Ging is essentially a superhuman as far as his ability to live and adapt on the Dark Continent is concerned, which, in turn, would also explain Gon's "explosive" and exponentially massive genetical capabilities regarding his spiritual, mental, emotional and physical fortitude, as well as his own instinctive behavior as opposed to even the most deadly of assasins. Gon is one of those cases where, after millenias upon millenias of superhuman adaptation, what some consider in the wild as disturbing and erratic at best is actually Gon's daily life in regards to his way of handling situations that, for the rest, may seem tremendously impossible, such as dealing with a group of criminals that take the spot of the most wanted, as well as going head to head with a literally twisted, masochistic psycopath with a fetish for battling younger opponents that he can, when fully matured, kill. Since many of those very same enemies, as well as some other creatures from the Dark Continent, have posed a threat to such a strong child, the only reasonable conclusion is that his lineage is not the only one that proceeds from the Dark Continent. In fact, the Zoldick family might, in part, come from such a place, as well as some other creatures, like the chimera ants. However, since it's been an unbelievably long time since any record of prehistoric life, it's safe to assume that, at best, only vestiges of this fact will be found in the Dark Continent. Furthermore, it's extremely likely that the reason some people have such strong and vast nen capabilities while others don't, is due to the fact that most people in the human continents hav long since stopped adapting to a hostile environment, while others still retain powers, which they nurture through hardships, that can be intimately related to the Dark Continent origins. I mean, think about it; there's a literal calamity that resembles humanoid form, others that have abysmally large amounts of nen, supernatural and otherwordly powers. My take on this is that, in fact, there are three "degrees" of humanity: One is the humanity that has been living in the status quo, slowly digressing from spiritual and physical development. The common-folk with little to no training in mind, body and spirit, living in society with no proper insight regarding their own potential. The second humanity is the one that gave birth to the first we know of, which is a much more premitive, yet powerful version of the humans that live in the human continents. It is premitive because it lacks the same level of consciousness relative to the ones living in the human continent, and as such, animalistic and ameba-like in nature; powerful because, unlike the humans on the human continent, these other races within the dark continent, for better or worse, have had to adapt to it through countless hardships and, moreover, have either become more "humanized" or more demoralized and twisted. Granted, some are either a mixture of various creatures, like the chimera ants, and others are simply evolving into humanoid beings in various ways. That said, a human is a human in general, unless it loses or fails to attain the qualities that make humans who they are, like reason, love, care, freedom, humility, spirituality, etc. This leads me to the third humanity, which is a mixture between both the common-folk and the remnants of humanity from the Dark Continent. This humanity is sort of like the threshold between the two, serving as both its own "degree" of humanity and a standard between what a world with and without developed nen (term denoting of the concept of a living being's life force and energy supply) looks like. Such a humanity is conformed by a wide variety of communities and social spheres that span from people who live a quiet life as humans much stronger than the average human, all the way to superpowered warriors capable of performing extraordinary feats only a few can actually achieve, regardless of difficulty and ease. Much of these communities and groups are comprised of hunters, being the great majority of them, at the very least, stronger than even the most physically powerful in the world (since nen goes far and beyond mere muscles and flesh), if only barely. There are others, however, who are extremely unique, since they resemble more the Dark Continent's power system than the conventional human world's power system. For better or worse, these types of hunters are extremely dangerous and could potentially evolve into terrifying monsters like the ones in the Dark Continent. One of these cases is Hisoka, another perhaps Illumi, since they are still far from reaching their full potential, and yet, they are already exceedingly powerful as they are. Other examples could be post-buff Gon (if he get's the chance and has broken his limitation by assimilating the power he displayed during the battle with Pitou, thus enabling him to grow even more in the future), Mrs. Muscle Rush Bis-Qis, Kill Boy, Kurapikachu, Le'Oreo and Ging The Milk Man.
@@lavellelee5734 Thank you fro the compliment! I honestly think that the world of Hunter X Hunter resembles some world within the universe and beyond, like Saturn, although no one believes there is human life, fauna, flora and different climates and diverse ecosystems, exceeding far and beyond the ones seen on Earth. That said, Hunter X Hunter, as its own thing, doesn't necessarily resemble it, but can come close in some regards. I'm not necessarily right, since it could be that the manga shows a completely different reality that disproved my theories and interpretations. Also, I don't recall the planet in Hunter X Hunter being called "Earth". Let me know if I'm missing something! :D
@@lavellelee5734 Okay, and thank you for confirming! I firmly believe Hunter X Hunter will have its own planet name and solar system. Well, probably, who knows. Taking into consideration that the enviroment in the manga and anime resemble somewhere between the 1970s and 2000s, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume that, if the series takes long enough, humanity might even be able to explore space, if the haven't done so already, though I doubt it, because if the did, then it wouldn't be such unkown territory, and besides, if the did explore space, there's a chance that they might end up landing further away from the human continent. At the very least, they do seem to have some degree of advanced technology so it wouldn't be farfetched to assume space rockets already exist, although, unlike us, their circumstances may be impeding the people in charge of big organizations the travel to space, which means that they haven't gone to space in a world that seems parallel to our time, in-between the 1970s and the 2000s. One thing is certain, though: Nuclear bombs are a thing, as well as many types of weapons, including bio-organic weapons, or B.O.W.s, if we look at it from a "Resident Evil" point of view. With all that we've seen in both the anime and manga, I wouldn't be surprised if there were an extraterrestial influence that landed on the planet, or an invasive species of parasitic plants similar to Resident Evil's history. Things that turn people into aberrations. Interdimensional beings that hide in the crevices of the world between each concievable dimension, and people that can manipulate various powers and dimensions beyond the natural. Hunter X Hunter is essentially realistic in that respect at least, since we've already witnessed about 50% of the information I mentioned above. The world might expand beyond the 99.9% of the undiscovered planet if given the chance to go that far. Maybe even far into the future, but that's being far beyond optimistic. I'm a dreamer, though, so I don't care! lol
If you’re mentioning the floating at Trick Tower, I believe they said there was a strong updraft along with the monsters that prevented climbing down. Unless I’m mistaken.
Hope you'll actually read this beacuse i had this thought for a while now. *What if the Chimera ant Queen was actually the result of a sixth, unofficial, journey to the DC?*
I really would like to know more about Issac Netero. A filler of his life is needed but Togashi is not feeling well. Also a filler of The Phantom Troupe is needed
What if the humans in the 'known world' (the islands in lake Mobius) came originally from the Dark Continent? The idea is that there are different tribes (or even civilizations) of humans living in the Dark Continent. A few thousand years ago a group of humans moved to the islands in lake Mobius in order to isolate themselves from the harshness of the Dark Continent. That group of humans are the ancestors of the current population in the known world. Humans in the Dark Continent needed Nen to survive. For the humans in the islands in lake Mobius, Nen use became less and less necessary because the islands are 'relatively safe' (compared to the harshness of the Dark Continent) so the knowledge of Nen became less and less common.
Cool theory but the theory that Don Freecs extended Netero's life (7:22) is very unlikely, afterall we know pretty much for certain that the reason why he was able to stay young for so long is because of his mastery of nen, the evidence to this is in his final moments when he uses all of his nen against Meruem, he suddenly goes from younger state to a much more older and withered one. That alone is telling us that he was able to sustain himself for so long just by using nen. The man was a total monster when it came to nen afterall.
01:34 Answer is 46 Now, I understand Togashi's feelings and determination to do everything himself. But, considering his health, I do hope that he takes on a pupil/apprentice that will help him with the artwork.
These videos get me excited and then immediately sad as I remember we haven’t got a new chapter in over two years.. I think that maybe if everyone stops tweeting togashi asking for more chapters he will perhaps start again out of spite lol
I always leave this videos feeling very sad. Because it reminds me of how great HxH is and why I love it so much. But the truth is that I no longer have any hope of seeing HxH coming back. And even if by a miracle HxH comes back one day, I’m sure that Togashi will just rush to give the series an ending. We will never see HxH achieving its fullest potential 🙁
I think it's 1 of 2 things. 1. Gon and Killua are the reincarnations of Don and Zyg. 2. Gon and Killua are ACTUALLY Don and Zyg transformed by Nanika or something else either to save them or as punishment, and they lost their memories being reverted to babies.
Content suggestion: remember when killua and gon have been held hostages by the spider? And Illumi is pretending to be Hisoka thanks to his nen ability. If gon and killua have been dealt with a fatal injury by any one of the spiders cause of the argument going on in that scene. Can Illumi save them both? Or atleast killua? Can Illumi take all the spider at once or surprised attack? Please make a content discussion about this. Thank you in advance!
The possibility that ponzu might still be alive in chimera ant body. We know zaikahal aka the wolf guy was killed by centurion ant and just assumed his corpses never arrived to the ant queen
@Dustin T i think its possible for illumi to take the spiders at the moment. He can just manipulate 3 (assuming he can) spider and then sneak attack the other.
I feel like exploring the Dark Continent is the equivalent to exploring the remaining oceans on Earth and finding something we were meant to stay away from.
See, my theory is that the story of Hell’s Paradise was just an adventure on the Dark Continent. Since we have so little to go off of for HxH and will never get there (at least at this rate), it’s my head canon for it.
Zigg Zoldic met Ai aka Naunica. When you don't meet her requirements, you either get wrung or squish. He got squished but his Nen was strong so he survived. That's why Maha face is flat. Maha and Zigg are the same person!
You know, in another video you asked the question of "Since Gon found his father, then what else was his goal for the future of the series?" And you figured he was not going to be in the show anymore or they had to create something. Well, isn't it obvious? Gon will want to find his Grandfather Don! Which will make it where he has to goto the Dark Continent to look for him.
Well, Togashi was never coherent to begin with, going as far as forgetting some of his major reveals. HxH has just too much info to absorb so I don't blame him.
This is a year old. I think Netero and Don were old friends. They planned to meet up somewhere on the shore of moebius lake, that's why Netero found Don and the 3 survived. There is no way that Don just went to the dark continent on a whim and was so powerful that he survived through luck and vigor based on the expeditions that we know about. Perhaps on an expedition in the way way past they found the nitro rice, and that's part of why Don was able to go back to the shore of moebius lake.
I've only watched the anime and yesterday bought the first issue of the manga but I hope really really hope it continues soon because I haven't been this excited to explore an arc like the dark continent it's so interesting to me the name alone Dark continent is awesome I really hope it continues 😭
Dont want to kill the mood here, but dont get your hopes up too much. I think 2018 was the last chapter we got, and thats from an arc before the dark continent even begins, which feels like it isnt even halfway through. For now just enjoy the story thats already there and view it kind of like a finished piece. But glad to hear we got another soul hoping for it to continue haha
@@sharafbalboa3460 I thought his wife was gonna continue the story if something happens to togashi ( I'm very aware of the 1,000 hiatus and joined the sad souls that have been waiting before me and now I'm a sad soul😭)
I hope togashi, instead of drawing the manga which is hard for him to do, write the novel of it instead (he can tell the story flows while someone type it for him). So we, as fans, can basically know how the story goes and how it end. Since i believe, many fans longs to see how Hxh ended. We love it so much and it will be a big regret for everyone if he can't finish it.
I don't think Netero even knew much about nen until he discovered it during his 4 years of punching and prayer in the mountains. My theory is that he naturally discovered Nen through his martial arts training, developed a school of kung-fu that facilitated the learning of nen and then traveled to the DC with his two companions sometime in his late 40 to early 50s.
The scale of the Dark Continent is insane. Let alone the fact that the Dark Continent is just a stepping stone. World trees go above the world. We've seen that a world tree exists in the Dark Continent.
I stopped reading the manga a couple years back, have they reached the dark continent yet? The last thing I remember reading is about kurapika and him being a servant on the whale ship going to the dark continent with all the princes
I have a theory that the guide to the continent purposefully set up expeditions meant to acquire treasures to encounter calamities as punishment for their greed but didn’t do the same for Don and maybe Netero’s team because they had more pure goals.
Or they just survived but didn't get what they needed 😅 like no shade but neteros goal is very selfish in nature wanting to fight someone on his level I'm pretty sure they just do it because the teams failed in acquiring what they wanted/needed kind of like a game.
Also when they were talking about the last survivor, they meant the man who was first shown locked in the base. (Man with the long black hair) They said he’s been alive for years without any need for outside assistance. He possibly ate some of the nitro/longevity rice that is also mentioned by Ging.
What if Don is Gon, i mean it could make sense considering Gon aged up, what if Don aged down at the cost of his knowledge and Netero gave Gon AKA Don to Jing. It would also explain why Gon's mother doesnt get brought up and how Jin treats Gon
Netero quite obviously discovered the Subscribe button for the New world review , this granted him consistent injection of hunter x hunter content straight into his TH-cam feed
But it grants no one any coverage of 'Fan-made Hatsu', a topic which coverage is always a Blast. I never saw a comment-section not being hyped when a TH-camr covered this. Never.
Yo the fact that all these theories are impossible to deny since many descriptions of what's been going on are very vague. It just makes for a lot of potential interesting continues of the story
Netero's age becomes even more interesting when you think about the fact he created a solid form of martial arts that explains something as unintuitive to learn as nen. It makes sense to us, as it was explained to us, but the trials needed to figure everything out in world would be insane. This would've taken decades of study, and collecting scattered scraps (like how the ninjas enhance themselves) to make into a single unified teaching method, and then decades more to spread the way it has. He also doesn't display that he has knowledge of nen when he starts his daily thanks at age 46, which means he may have had limited or no knowledge at that point, and also had not founded the Hunter Association yet. This means the realization came either from something from the Dark Continent, or potentially from Don Freecss.
This doesn't really have anything to do with the video and it's more of just a fan hypothesis. Anyway, It seems Ging is keeping contact with Gon. He was talking to him on a cell phone after inserting himself into the voyage. Since he talked about enjoying the side missions and that's it's the people you meet along the way that really matter with Gon. He could be looking for a way to get Gon's nen abilities back on the dark continent. As a side mission. Ging said he wants whatever he doesn't have so perhaps it could also be his way of becoming an actual father with a father son relationship and he'd be willing to do this for his son. But he also said that he is selfish so idk. Gon also didn't ask for his abilities back after Killua showed him how he was able to heal him so, I don't think he'll use a wish. But it could lead up to Gon being able to fight Gyro or Hisoka. Just a thought.
Sweet! New Hunter x Hunter content / theories! Been binging your channel the last couple days since finishing the most recent manga chapters. Thank you so much!!
I tend not to subscribe to nerdy things like this, but you sold me with “well then there’s no way they could have before.. yeah? Well, no. In fact, not yeah. In fact.. no.” You’re funny
Personally, I think zigg was supposed to be the original head of the family during his generation and made it back from the dark continent. And when he came back he was possessed by nanika and his family realized the threat he was and locked him away like alluka. Also keeping him even further secret, including from later generations of the family, hoping nanika will die with zigg. My hypotheses is that zigg is a brother of killuas great grandfather maha and that zigg must’ve died around allukas birth, passing nanika to her. I also believe maha does have some sort of understanding of what nanika is.
We saw a World Tree in the 2011 version of HxH at the beginning of the Greed Island arc when Gon and Killua are playing the audio recording of Ging as he rides on the back of the two beasts! Which leads me to believe that Ging actually travels freely to and from the Dark Continent!!
That was at the beginning of Yorknew city arc. It was either anime original scene or the new continent (fake dark continent) introduced in the dark continent expedition arc.
@@aakashshukla2848 You’re right. My mistake. It was episode 38 of the 2011 reboot (the real anime version IMO), and in episode 47 of the original 1999 anime. Idk why I forgot about the whole reason to attend the auction in the first place for Gon and Killua. I haven’t read the manga except for the post anime chapters beginning with Hisoka (along with his backstory not done by Togashi, but still recognized by him) and Chrollo’s fight. But how can it be a “fake” world tree? The magma is clearly shown at the base of the tree; a key characteristic of naturally occurring Dark Continent World Trees as stated by Ging. I could go read the manga now but I don’t have time as I’ve been writing this comment and have to run to a meeting. Can you fill me in?
@@roddywarrior8114 oh yeah because individually having corny laughs makes one piece very detailed. I know plenty about one piece.

Don Freeces is one of the most intriguing characters to me. He must be one of if not the most powerful characters in the series at this point if he can live for centuries in a place that most can't survive at all.

He didn't create it, he was the 12th Chairman in history
But interestingly enough, Don creating the Hunter Association would match up with the timeline

Don is from the timeline where there's no hunter association and he's done writing the east book of dark continent, Don came 300 years in the past and brings 3 things with him,
3rd : the book he gives to the hunters, he and the book is the reason why the hunter association is built remember that 10 years later just when he give the book to the hunters then the hunter association is built,
2nd : the ring and memory card of greed island for gon
3rd : BABY GON, maybe he brings gon to his past self whose ging of election arc to give it also to mito that can take care to gon because you know, maybe the west part of dark continent is more dangerous than the west so he gave the book, and gon before he goes to west part so gon will be safe.

Ikr since toriko are hunter too , gourmet hunter also exist in hxh
What I'm mostly curious about is to know... Who will survive the dark continent? For Isaac Netero to have so much trouble going to that place, the requirements for survival must be really high. For example, I don't see killua or gon (before "loosing" his nen) surviving that place. I feel like the only ones capable of traveling are the top of the strongest hunters. And even if individuals like Ging or Chrollo fight at 100%... I can't picture them going unscratched.
The dark continent will require some sacrifices.
It took don freecss centuries to map out half of the shore of a pond, the dark continent is a scary/huge/crazy place.
That was awesome. The dark continent is so fascinating I cant help but want to see more of it.
What if Ging was tasked with a quest from Don to find him again and that's why he told Gon and Kite to do it?
Meruem gains the nen of creatures he consumes, he had infinite potential, i'm not really sure how meruem could be the lowest of the low.
I think you’re reading a bit too deep into it. It’s probably just the art style in which he was drawn
Thus, this may confirm two things:
My take on this is that, in fact, there are three "degrees" of humanity:
One is the humanity that has been living in the status quo, slowly digressing from spiritual and physical development.

Okay that’s really cool, it would be interesting to see a type of Gon and Killua type of Duo from Don and Zigg
I really want the Dark Continent arc to be animated 😫
This is among your greatest work.
No matter how much I miss HxH/Togashi's mind, I will never grow tired of thinking about this world.
The Zigg Don duo would be so sick to see, sadly Togashi still ain't dropping 😪😕🙁☹😟😦😧😨😰😥😢😖😣😞😓😩😫🥺😭
I really would like to know more about Issac Netero. A filler of his life is needed but Togashi is not feeling well. Also a filler of The Phantom Troupe is needed
Man i hope this series continues, i took a shot of fate a year back and this is one of the best series i've watched in 5 years of my anime career
Hxh hasn’t had a new episode or new manga chapter in years but still this guy find new content 😂😂
He's the 🐐💯
There's literally nothing new if you read the manga wtf
Had to sub after binging a good 2 hours worth of vids. Can’t wait for more!
That's most likely the case
Cool theory but the theory that Don Freecs extended Netero's life (7:22) is very unlikely, afterall we know pretty much for certain that the reason why he was able to stay young for so long is because of his mastery of nen, the evidence to this is in his final moments when he uses all of his nen against Meruem, he suddenly goes from younger state to a much more older and withered one. That alone is telling us that he was able to sustain himself for so long just by using nen. The man was a total monster when it came to nen afterall.

Now, I understand Togashi's feelings and determination to do everything himself. But, considering his health, I do hope that he takes on a pupil/apprentice that will help him with the artwork.
Man I love this channel it post both of my favorite manga and there videos are always really good and can tell he puts a lot of thought to his videos
Editor-Kun: (=^ ^=)
That would be a fun video for sure
@Dustin T yea but even hisoka admitted that he can’t take 3 spider at once.
@Dustin T i think its possible for illumi to take the spiders at the moment. He can just manipulate 3 (assuming he can) spider and then sneak attack the other.
@Dustin T uhhh wha? Chrollos not that impressive? That's a hot take...
Dang, ya finally got me. What ever will I do now with all this glorious HxH content all over my YT feed
dude ; your videos are more and more creative and enjoyable
I feel like exploring the Dark Continent is the equivalent to exploring the remaining oceans on Earth and finding something we were meant to stay away from.
See, my theory is that the story of Hell’s Paradise was just an adventure on the Dark Continent. Since we have so little to go off of for HxH and will never get there (at least at this rate), it’s my head canon for it.
Since your wife just finished up the anime what does she think of the Dark Continent and Succession ark
Her opinions are really bad, and biased, not much logic, but a bunch of feelings.
@@RJ-ch9zf she's more interested in the way of the story is told and how the characters are portrayed
I like your HxH videos man, congrats!
I wonder if Togashi watch them.
maybe the real dark continent was the friends we made along the way
Zigg Zoldic met Ai aka Naunica. When you don't meet her requirements, you either get wrung or squish. He got squished but his Nen was strong so he survived. That's why Maha face is flat. Maha and Zigg are the same person!
What dis netero discover on the dark continent.
That bungee gum has the properties of both rubber and gum. Lol
I've missed watching hxh content on here. I've been on the other channel binging your one piece vids since i recently caught up to the manga
Nearly 3 years of hiatus… Idk how you remain optimistic about hxh future and keep pulling out content.
Jokes on you togashi is back.
@@PCAMW yea cant wait for the 5 or 6 chapters and then another 3 year hiatus…
Guess what! :D Hiatus in back on the menu bois
Netero is 110 the book was written 300 years ego

God i hope this arc continues and our favorite hunters finally arrive in australia
Imagine if the dark continent was a red herring. Togashi's middle finger to hype
The scale of the Dark Continent is insane. Let alone the fact that the Dark Continent is just a stepping stone. World trees go above the world. We've seen that a world tree exists in the Dark Continent.
Nah it’s like re discovering Australia and Florida
I stopped reading the manga a couple years back, have they reached the dark continent yet? The last thing I remember reading is about kurapika and him being a servant on the whale ship going to the dark continent with all the princes
lol. same spot.
I'd love to see you make a video debating over who's the worse father, goku or ging?
What if Don is Gon, i mean it could make sense considering Gon aged up, what if Don aged down at the cost of his knowledge and Netero gave Gon AKA Don to Jing. It would also explain why Gon's mother doesnt get brought up and how Jin treats Gon
Oh shoot 😨😨
Well, ging tried to talk about gon's mother but gon didn't want to listen
Thank you Editor-Kun. I can finally subscribe
Editor-Kun: Welcome! ヽ(o^▽^o)ノ
Netero quite obviously discovered the Subscribe button for the New world review , this granted him consistent injection of hunter x hunter content straight into his TH-cam feed
But it grants no one any coverage
of 'Fan-made Hatsu', a topic which coverage is always a Blast.
I never saw a comment-section not being hyped when
a TH-camr covered this. Never.
Just subbed, cant wait to watch the rest of your content
"What did Netero discover on the Dark Continent?"
That I will never be pinned by the NewWorldReview
Hey, was already part of the grand line review now I’m here lol 😂, I loose at your games a lot.
I just realized that they don’t even know that their world is round.
I can only pray that hunterxhunter comes back and gets an ending
Sweet! New Hunter x Hunter content / theories! Been binging your channel the last couple days since finishing the most recent manga chapters. Thank you so much!!
Dark continent is Brazil
4:03 "..succeeded in making a round trip by ourselves."
They were pertaining to the expeditions requiring the Guide to be summoned by the Gatekeeper.
He obviously found Beans in the Dark Continent, the most OP character in the Hunter x Hunter universe
I tend not to subscribe to nerdy things like this, but you sold me with “well then there’s no way they could have before.. yeah? Well, no. In fact, not yeah. In fact.. no.” You’re funny
I think there’s a decent chance that Ging was told because Netero was preparing for Ging to take over the hunter’s association as he said in his will.
Zigg is such a cool looking character
Personally, I think zigg was supposed to be the original head of the family during his generation and made it back from the dark continent. And when he came back he was possessed by nanika and his family realized the threat he was and locked him away like alluka. Also keeping him even further secret, including from later generations of the family, hoping nanika will die with zigg. My hypotheses is that zigg is a brother of killuas great grandfather maha and that zigg must’ve died around allukas birth, passing nanika to her. I also believe maha does have some sort of understanding of what nanika is.
"Maha" doesn't exist in the manga.
@@AndrewManook a simple google search says otherwise
I kept true to the test and subscribed so I would really like more videos like this on the dark continent
Hopefully Togashi will continue HxH.
One piece fanboys wish their anime was this detailed and vast.
Then you know nothing about one piece dude 😢
@@roddywarrior8114 oh yeah because individually having corny laughs makes one piece very detailed. I know plenty about one piece. Is still not changing the fact one piece isn't an intelligent intricate anime. The main characters have a combined IQ of 30. Goku is even smarter than Luffy and that's saying something.
@@roddywarrior8114 don't even try and state sanji or Zoro are smart. Zoro gets lost everywhere and isn't on time, two traits of lesser inclined minds. One piece legitimately is for the lame.
@@GFG2gifted i thought all the shonnen heroes had that same trait in general.
But regarding the content of it one piece has been able to keep fans interested since more than 20 years and with all the plot and mysteries around it. So i dont think your comment was fair.
But i do like hunter x as well. The chimera arc was my fav.
@@roddywarrior8114 there's plenty of intelligent shonen anime. I digress, pointing out the length of one piece isn't a real feat. All of the big three are still in continuation. There's plenty of anime with far more substance and history. Heck detective Conan has far more chapters is far more intellectual, yet has none of the popularity of one piece. Popularity simply means it's popular, nothing more. The fact remains, one piece is not an intelligent anime. The new arc simply is a half retelling of WW2. Which if you know your history, anime was started as a moral booster for the losers to feel better. This is exactly why toei animation has a cat. It was to seem superior to the mouse. Ironic really. One piece isn't anything new and exciting. Their fan base is simply captivated by things they don't realize are basic.
