Pap, could be possessing Gon, in the same way Ai is possessing, the way Gon makes "friends" is certainly different than normal Kite was taken from Gon, but somehow Kite was given back in another form, maybe his "friends" are future victims of Pap, once Gon passes his "friends" get drained.

I know what will make Gon a legendary hunter without getting his nen back. He will live on the dark continent without any nen. The calamities come when humans try to disturb the ecosystem. Gon was taught to live harmoniously with nature, thus he will be safe.

@@DivineZenkailol hetero barely survived his trips to the dark continent when he was younger and was at the time one of if not the most powerful nen master at the time. Yeah gon can tame the animals from the human realm but the dark continent is a land where humanity even with men is woefully outmatched by the sheer forces of nature that live there. We only know of 5 calamities and each one if left unchecked could easily wipe out the entier human race. The amount of power just one of them outputted when reviving gon made literally everyone who nlknew anything about nen shit their pants, also bare in mind that ay did this fairly casually too. Without new gon would be killed in some of the most gruesome and disturbing ways imaginable. Gon being good with animals is a common trait shared with many other hunters so that alone is just not enough to survive the literal calamity infested hellscape that is the dark continent. Sorry for the long message but I need you to understand that gon as a child would be dead in nano seconds. Even adult gon wouldn't last long unless he got to that point naturally. The chimera ants were just one calamity from the dark continent and they weren't even that dangerous compared to the others and he nearly killed himself to take down 1 royal guard...not meruem or the queen or all three guards.. just one and at the time he made a vow to use all the power he would ever have. Let that sink in a moment.

In Yu Yu Hakusho, we find out later in the series that Yusuke is actually half demon and that's part of why he's so strong. Gon is the spiritual successor to Yusuke so having that idea crossover wouldn't be crazy. Gon as a calamity opens a path for him to re-enter the story as a combatant without nen through his Calamitous abilities, allowing us to see Gon vs Hisoka and Gon vs Gyro in a real fight.

      Demonic Atavism: not half-*FULLY BOTH*
If his demon side was yellow and human side blue, then instead of a mix of blue and yellow, he’s a whole new “Green”. The demon part overrides and changes the human part. it could be! if we think about it, Zzig Zoldyck already has travel before to the dark continent with Netero, and with that, alongside the extra page in vol 33, is implied that Nanika is the calamity that the guardians of the dark continent forced Zzig to take. But stead of him take one, the guardians did the calamity posseses one relatively of Zzig, that was Alluka. throughout the series several times we have people calling Gon "a monster", or the most obvious one that Gon literally has "something" inside him, is when Meleoron said that he felt a beast inside Gon, and that he felt that Gon's power is bottomless or infinity. When Gon transformers into his adult form, he is shown as a dark shadow form, that clearly indicates something more monstrous than a mere human. When Biscuit transformers, at least in the Manga, Togashi do not draw her like some dark shadow beast, but simply like she was just getting bigger. When Kurapika is talking to Mizaistom in chapter 344 about monsters that in human skin, Togashi in the same page shows Gon. At that moment Kurapika was talking about Tserriednich, but Togashi was clearly implying that Gon is the same: a monster in human skin. In chapter 345, is the chapter that we last saw Gon, and is the chapter that Tserriednich is introduced. I'm not overthinking, that this is another hint from Togashi, trying to show some similarities or parallel between Gon and Tserriednich, because both are monsters, of course, not for the same reason. Tserriednich is just an evil person, and Gon is a monster because he is a calamity from the dark continent (or at least, he is possessed by one). another parallel between Gon and Tserriednich, that classic panel of Gon looking at his left hand after he turn into adult, like feeling he achieve the power to do what he wants, is the same way that Tserriednich look at his left hand in the last page of chapter 387 after he realizes that if he master his power to see the future, he can dominate the world. I think that Togashi already have give a lot of hints, that Gon is similar to Alluka, possessed by a creature from the dark continent, because of things that some relatively family of his did in the past, trying to explore the New world.

I've always thought Gon was from a bloodline directly from the Dark Continent. Too many details to ignore. Gon's ability to heal fast, his sense of smell, his ability to see in the dark, etc. Ging's control of Nen: from simple aura control to copying others abilities, which isn'teven his ability. His insane intellect like reading people; understanding the essence of nen; or even understanding a long list of languages (theinguistics expert couldn't stay up with him).
The fact that Don FREECS is possibly still on the shores of Lake Mobius still completing the second book. Tbh. I think Don is probably OP af. He's already released one book about Lake Mobius. Tbh. I personally believe he's on bad term with the Guide which is why they keeo sending calamities. 149 voyages on record with only 5 coming back after failing the mission. I guarantee there are more calamities than we know. Humans themselves may have been a calamity. Humans are a dangerous species. Though Netero died, he suceeded in killing of the royals. Yeah, Meruem survived but they were all poisoned anyways.
Lastly. I've always been dumbfounded by Gon's transformation. No human would ever be able to pull that much nen. The last hit produced a similar amount of nen as Ai. I think Pap finds interesting humans and keeps them. The Zoldyck family are all likely pets of Pap. Hisoka, Chrollo, the Netero father & son. Anyone who tends to pull of the impossible. Kurapika and his Emporer time is another; but, I personally the Kurta came directly from the dark continent. Kurapika only knew nen for 6 months and killed a Spider. It wasn't just nen, he also had battle experience that tops a large portion of Hunters. His nen contract boosts his power to an unbelievably powerful level. And top it with the chain. Even with contracts, no regular human could ever supply life force strong enough to unlock his powers.
There's a lot of details that are hidden in between and Ylgashi is notoriously known for leaving easter eggs.

I think don freecs is the guide, and his punishment is to decide which calamity goes back with each voyage, hes forced to by some entity or by the dark continent itself as humantity gets some horrible calamity to go with some miraculous thing that would immediatly drassticly improve the world of humans. Don freecs only wanted knowledge and not things but to explore and learn everything about the dark continent so his punishment or calamity is too have to stay there forever continually learning and exploring and maybe also to live until he has learned everythinf, which to a freecs is as much a dream as it is a curse, but part of that curse is also to have to pick which doom best and most equally great horrible yes but also great calamity goes with them for the great gift they take from the continent. He passed his book off to other voyagers not to entice them but both warn and inform them that the rewards maybe be great beyond understanding but so also will be the horrors. This is my headcanon anyway till we get some more concrete explanation (tbo idk if we ever will) . My basis for this is that "the guide" seems to be a being whoever lands on tne continent deals with and not only they refer to them as tho its the same being everytime not multiple or consecutive or something

I encourage everyone to think about their own Nen-Ability: ITS FUN, to say the least.
But the question is if you can cheat the System (to a reasonable extend) so i ask your thoughts on this: What about a catalyst-ability whose sole purpose it to be Useless and even HIGHLY Restrictive and then multiple more Abilities that all have the teeny tiny Restriction 'Can only be used while the useless Ability is active'. I can think of countles ways how this will not work but a few where it would actually work: You just gotta have 3+ Ability-Slots and the Useles Ability should be Mono-Type but more importantly have Restricttons that 'act on you' as long as its activated or even outright all-the-time. Kurapika, i think, gave me the idea cause i wondered if Emperors Time extreme Cost only helps Emperor Time or them all - and f this is exploitabe! Heres the kicker: Dowsing-Chain is pure Conjuration but its direclty stated to get a (Slight) Boost when Kurapika is in Emperor Time, so all you gotta ask is where this comes from. Cause its a slight improvement, it cant be all of Emperor Time's Life-Burning, so the only logical conclusion is some 'left-over' gets to Kurapikas other Hatsu. Guy's, its not rocket-science, all you gotta remember is he decreased his Efficiency to 80% and then up to 100% and all that's on you is remember ""Hey, wait, isnt that how he started as?"
So what i say is throwing Money into a Cmapfire can be of Benefit for moe Abilities
than actually have the Activation-Requirement 'Burn Money'' IF you pul it off

From how I understand HxH: Nen Exorcism is always kind of a gamble. You always have to assume that any nen curse might be very permanent if the caster does not take it back. Even the Phantom Troupe explicitly acted under that assumption. This does not need a dark continent involvement.
Basically rule 1 is: It's there until the conditions for removal are met. Don't expect anyone to be able to remove it. Even the rare nen exorcists often outright refused to take on regular ones. Like on Greed island for example.

One thing i noticed about the dark continent is that each calamity(that we know) seems to be a twisted lesson of sorts.
Nanika(ai) is a twisted Manifestation of the saying 'be careful what you wish for'.
Pap is something im less sure of, but could be something like 'just because it feels good, doesnt mean it is'.
I wonder if Gon, or whatever Calamity exists within him, is the calamity of love thy neighbour neighbour or something. Like hurt the people he cares about, he'll twist legs off and shove it trough your head. As to what sets his calamity off, it could be grief or rage.

@@WolforNuva Yeah, you're right too, in fact I'm not too sure about the Dark Continent curse, I just found it funny because Togashi seem to suggest that nen it's more a dangerous thing for humanity that something good.
Not only he does that with Gon and Kurapika stories (the life of both of them are endangered by nen) but also because the Hunter Association seem to have at least some concern about teaching nen to anybody. But, to be honest, I'm more convinced that the Kurta clan lived on the Dark Continent and they used nen to survive. Let's put these theories together. Ging inherited Pap because the curse has been passed along any member of Freecs family who dared to be a hunter since Don and the Dark Continent. Ging, not wanting to be taken over by Pap, used the Greed Island tech to create a child to past the curse onto. And Gon was born with the desire only to get back to Ging, becoming the Hunter x Hunter.

  • @Gregor_Von_DOOM
    @Gregor_Von_DOOM 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

IF you buy into the theory you could go further into how the story sets things up. We met a nen purger on greed Island where Gon could have possibly been born through the pregnancy card idea. Another nen user capable of removing nen was a chimera ant.. who did it through appearing pregnant. Outside of hisoka all nen abilities are really similar so its possible ging purged the calamity and it was born as Gon and the reason he abandoned him was so he could experience a normal life before he is drawn back to Ging where he is told of the dark continent. Had he been with Ging he would've known far sooner and tried to go back before experiencing things like friends. If the theory is true it would paint ging in a better light.

OMG! This goes so! MUCH! DEEPPER! I wish I'd seen this sooner but you just answered one of the greatest questions I have ever had about the series! Why do Contracts exist? Why is it possible to ask for something of your power and get a response?! The Calamities! Of Coarse it is! The reason the dude is A class in his stats is because EVERY NIN USER HAS ACCESS TO THIS CALAMITY! One wrong oath and promise could literally destroy the planet!
