Nice demonstration. Waste spark is when you have 1 coil for 2 different cylinders, it fires 1 plug on compression stroke but the other fires on exhaust stroke hence the "wasted spark". It doesn't have anything to do with cleaner burning or firing twice
WHY END THE VIDEO WITHOUT THE CONCLUSION?? Show the results of repair; BEFORE & AFTER. Geeeze... My guess is that you had the SAME, wild readings on GTC505 with the NEW CAP, and trashed the ending.

Make sure to clean the 2 vent screens in the base of the HEI distributor . Examine wires , cap , rotor and plugs for carbon tracking .
