    Thanks. I have this tool but I hardly use it. It should be my first go to tool for most misfire diags. But I don't know enough about the tool. Hopefully we will see more videos about this tool

    What exactly is the scope line showing? It doesn’t look like an ignition pattern

      It is showing a chart graph not an ignition waveform. We could have selected the ignition waveform but this is an easier way to detect a problem if someone does not understand an ignition waveform. hope that helps and thanks for watching.     Cool tool, I'm confused as to what mode your in, it seems like your graphing rpm is that just telling you you have a misfire when it drops out or it will only drop out if it's an ignition misfire?

    How do you know its the ignition coil vs the spark plug? Or are you just going to sell a plug and coil no matter what?

      Jacob ... Bill swapped the coil to make sure it was the coil and not the plug. The chart shows a misfire and does not sure the difference between the plug or the coil.     Have you tried to use this on 6 cylinders w/coils under the intake? If so, do you trust those readings? Also on a 4 wire COP can you use an attenuator to check the primary waveform, or do you have to use a COP probe to only be able to check the secondary? I'm interested in the GTC analyzer, but would like to know if buying an attenuator is the better way to go for analyzing the ignition waveforms.

      Joe it works on just about all the engine we have tried it on. I don't think you can connect anything to the unit. You can read burn time and other specs just not a waveform.
