  • When faced with CRD injector electrical fault codes, there is some basic testing that can be done on the car, often bypassing the need to send injectors out for specialist testing.

The industry needs to pick its act up, a scope is the most important way to confirm most operations on todays cars, a basic scope we learn on back in the 70s and some where along the way it got dropped. Was that the poor training facilities or was turn over more important, I don’t know, but a scope is the best way hands down..

I know this is about basics . I see you have the GTC 505 Ignition tester . Have you tried the GTC 605 Injector Tester ? It is under $ 300.00 in US Dollars . If it helps a shop get to the issue quickly , I can't see not owning one . Same with the GTC 505 . Time is money . The parts cannon is not free .

I wouldn’t feel the need to not use a scope on your vids. Maybe the home diy guy wouldn’t have one but if you’re working in the industry and diagnosing cars then a scope is a necessity. Even the home gamer can get a cheap usb scope for less than $100.
