I mean best fix would be to change the shifter linkage bushing probably alot of play in the bushing which is being filled in with the grease. and technically you should be using silicone grease for those bushings or it might cause issues later like how caliper pin bushings swell depending on the material they used.
I'm currently experiencing the same issue. I've been told that the shifter cable isn't "slotting" properly, in effect the computer doesn't read in "Park" and thus, the car won't start. Something like that. Perhaps I should do this lube procedure because sometimes our 2008 Mazda 3 will go weeks with no issues then bam, it acts up. I feel like it's a simple fix, so I'll give this a try. Thanks for the vid.
When you had this problem did it grab the gears cuz I having the same problem but it's not getting the gears when I put into drive so thought I was gonna drive off I step on the gas and it just revs only when I stepped on the gas so I'm wondering if it's the same problem thanks
@@gersonjosemanuel Yeah, kept the car 3 more years and about60,000 miles, never had a problem with it again. Of course I made sure it stayed lubricated
You wasted half the video talking about nothing lol when I make videos, I get right to the point LOL I'm having a similar problem to where it won't go into gear at all, so I'm checking out your video to find answers
Very good sir exactly what i was looking for
“Lube it up like you’re gonna whack it off”…. … …
You just redefined the term DIY 😂

This is good to know! The neutral safety switch can also cause this from what I have found
