    To me enjoying something like bonsai is observing one of the spiritually pure aspects of earthly living. So much is impure and toxic, but simple nature in combination with human creativity, I think, is very spiritually fulfilling.

    This is an inspiration for an old apple stump I dug out in the spring. It's recovering. A tiny wiry sedge volunteers on my acre which I'll use as well. The finished scene has a great presence...thanks for sharing!

    You can also use oven bake clay mixed, or pressed, with rock dust to create a realistic rock effect. Plus no cracks in winter. :) but you couldn't apply it directly to a planting like that! That's pretty cool.
