This is absolutely amazing. Creative in every way. Fantastic idea. Bonsai and Japanese garden brought together in one go. I've seen many Bonsai videos but this one is definitely the best. Curious what it looks like now. Great, big greetings from the Netherlands.
Beautiful work! I am a big fan. One suggestion: You do not need keto, only sphagnum moss inserted into the cavities and you can then have live moss or the accent plants embedded directly into the sphagnum moss. This would also create additional aeration venues for the root system. I experimented a lot already with this. Even for vertical rock plantings, I use only sphagnum moss, no keto. I have several videos that show this in my channel.
I am not familiar with keto. I will be checking out your channel soon. Thanks for your suggestion here. Always helpful to read others' experiences. Take care.
an absolutely beautiful piece of living art crafted by the hands of a master craftsman. you sir are a boon to humanity. thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you......that was inspiring. I don't have slate like you used, but lots of flat volcanic Rhyolite and Basalt to experiment with, and I cut stone all the time with diamond tools.
Il lavoro in generale e molto bello ma la parte migliore, per me, è il caso che hai creato con la pietra.... semplicemente fantastico. Che tipo di stucco hai utilizzato per posizionare e fissare le pietre?
These things can get kinda heavy to move. Always good to build a strong edge for handholds to lift the base easily. Build it near the site where it will stay. Beautiful end result in this video.
Excuse me, what was the paste you used to stick and hold the stones together? I also have some grade 3 jade, I want to make this beautiful vase with them.
Beautiful work. Thanks for making this video. 19:35 I have what looks like the same moss. Could you identify the moss you're using here? I've been told to avoid using it on Bonsai because it saps nutrients and water (?). Not sure what to believe on that issue. (Also, 2:03 wtf masonry bit are you using in your drill. Last night I tried to drill a 1/8" hole in flagston using a masonry bit and I gave up because mine was taking 3-4 minutes to make the slightest progress. :( )
As this video is two years old I wonder if you'll get a reply but I hope you do as I'd like to know the answer and also the name of the miniature fern.
I can give you some insight on the mossing! Moss is great to help preserve the humidity in the root system and keep the roots cool, as well as prevent evaporation on hot days. As for draw backs, it doesn’t sap water or nutrients to a level that will harm a tree, moss does need to be managed and kept off of trunks as it can ruin bears and cause rot on trunk wood, other than that it is quite beneficial and adds a nice finishing touch to bonsai. As for drillbits - I’d like to know too! 😮
Un bellísimo bosque.!!! Gracias por compartir tu trabajo.

For the first time, I learned that moss alone fills the gap.
@@bonsai-shinshi Give it a try. It is similar to an air layer or an air pruning pot, it is more functional.
Hi Rafael. What is he doing with the paint brush? Also what is the adhesive he is using to seal the rocks?
