I have a 2000 vw cabrio that will start sometimes and sometimes it'll die while driving.. we've replace the coil, distributor cap and cam sensor thing... and tach and speedometer only work like 10% of the time... any advice?

Check ur water temp sensor its on your housing in the front of the block and make sure thermostat isnt clogged up... as for the tach speedo is a cluster issue the soldering goes bad after a while

Try installing a different CPS crank position sensor. Perhaps that will work. Also do a multimeter test on your CPS sensor and see if it's getting voltage.

Wish you could help my cousin I let him drive my 2002 vw mk3.5 cabrio an he was trying to help fix the idle an he pulled the ignition coil an broke the distributor an I bought a new one to put on an know it don’t want to start an now I can’t get it started what’s wrong with it I seen to of your videos I’m gonna try them an hope it works 🙏

Did you succeed by changing the ignition? Did you do it yourself?

@@samuelroy2214 yes the ignition was the problem in my car .but I change all the spark plugs ..cables ..and now works good and yea I do my self

it's not your ignition. if the car cranks then ignition is fine. on the crank, check for spark - no spark, it's your coil. if there is spark then just as you ignition on you normally hear a whine from the trunk. listen for that. if you don't hear it, it's probably your fuel pump. if you have spark and hear the pump then you're out of gas. Just remember - spark + gas = boom. If there's no boom, either spark or gas is missing, in this case, on all 4 cylinders, so it can only be fuel pump, coil or out of gas.
