  • PCT 24' day 5 - Ok now that I'm up to elevation, I can acclimate and dig in and push some miles. Made it to the first major water source but have to focus on the 2nd one, which is even farther.
The views are majestic. The pinecones are the size of my head lol. The trail is perfect but the wind hurts my ears.
A bad day on trail is better than a great day at work. I feel so lucky and grateful.

Thanks. It's always an adjustment when first on trail. But you know this as you're an experienced hiker yourself.

So happy to catch up with you on the PCT. I followed you and Roadrunner on the AT. Seems like you both are in the same area now on the PCT, any chance you will meet up, you seemed like good hiking buddies. You’re doing great, keep on keepin on!

Ya I keep hearing that. She's was a good hiking partner. I just started so my miles are still growing butt I wish her all the best.

Wow! 16 miles! That is still impressive to me! Wow..kind of scary with the lack of water on the PCT. Hope you are feeling okay and were able to get the water and electrolytes needed. Love your videos!

Aww thank you so much. Yes I'm fine. These are things we all go through on a thru hike. My general comfort zone is 18-20. I hope to hit that soon.

Finally caught up with you. two Questions how did you feel after completing the Camino as compared to AT. I know you touched on it some but now that time has passed any more thoughts.. secondly how many pairs of shoes did you use in Spain? continued success

One pair of shoes. I fell great but I was weak coming here. It'll be a while getting my trail legs

It appears you have to do your homework for the PCT. On the AT, it seems, you can stay at a luxury room each night, with shuttle service available at any point along the way.

So true. Here you have long sections without ANY support. No cell coverage, no bail out points, nothing. This happens a lot in Washington too

I love watching your adventures!!! I'm confused. Is Hiker Dancer near you?

Apparently. I had no idea until I ran into others. I guess I'm being mentioned because I'm being recognized all over the trail.

It seems water is more of an issue on the PCT than the AT. Kinda scary.

It really is. It can be an emergency situation at times. It causes me anxiety lol.

How is your Vitamin D3 level? Low levels will also cause muscle cramping.

I'd like to say it's good because I'm in the sun all day but I'd only be guessing. Great point. I will look into that. Thank you for the info.

@@AdventureQuencher I have to take D3 even if I am getting ☀️. I just buy the over the counter gummies. They really do help.

Make sure you look after yourself far more important than the hike 🫠🙃👍
