Hi Groceries! Thank you for including me in your video! It was great to meet you on trail and share the 200mile marker with you. That was a very hard hike at altitude and the descent to the I-10 in the heat. Not to mention the crazy windstorm we had that night and getting caught in the path of the sandstorm! I loved our talks and appreciate all the knowledge you shared with me. You’re a beautiful person, so positive. I hope to see you in the Sierra! I also need to go from KMS through the high Sierra. I’m happy your knee is okay. I’ll see you up the trail! Lady from Vancouver Canada
Hi Lady. Yes let's meet somewhere up trail. How far up are you now? I took a couple of days off for visiting so I may be closer than you think. Stay safe!
When I was a kid, I attended a summer camp in the San Emigdio Range. Elevation was 6,700 feet. Several campers would pass out from altitude sickness during flag salute in the mornings. It would take them about 3-4 days to adjust.
Wow sorry you had to deal with some altitude sickness. Glad you're up and at it today. Beautiful and definitely warm on the desert floor. I know the appreciation you have for the trail. Enjoy ☮️
Great views! So many logistics to think about (altitude sickness, water, etc). I guess that’s what keeps it interesting ☺I hope you are feeling better and your knees are okay. Also, you’re going from one huge hike to another! Wow.. you have awesome energy! Enjoy your day!
Thank you Brenda. Yes I felt better immediately after coming back down in altitude. My knees were fine. I only mentioned my knees because usually they hurt everyone on the downhills. Cheers!
So you were feeling bad and then you fell? Oh darn it! Hope you are feeling better by now and that the fall was nothing serious. Thanks for sharing. Sending love ❤
Thank you. Yes I feel fine. I know I don't really like to share my feelings or pain much and I'm sorry. I guess I feel like nobody really wants to see the negative side of the trail but I supposed I should include it all. Altitude sickness disappears once you're back down in elevation. Something else I should have mentioned. Cheers!
Hy my dear Friend😊 from Camino Portugues. I hope you remember me. Ìt's nice to see, you are well back to the pct. Respekt for your long walks. I wish you health finish now. And a beautifull time. I change my way 3 days ago. I walk now the camino primitivo and i am so happy to fill up my plan what i haved explane at first. It's so so beautifull to be here. Best Wishes and my Greatings for you. Sandra
Take it slow and easy. You are doing well but you are pushing your boundaries until you get up to speed. When I can't use my CPAP, I was advised to sleep on my left side because it is easier on the heart and lungs. Take a few more breaks and enjoy the scenery. You may be susceptible to heat exhaustion so carry extra water. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
All good advice. Thanks Rick. Hope you're well. It was a tactical mistake. I was .4 from the top. I should have gone up and over that afternoon. Live and learn I guess.
@@AdventureQuencher Its a wasted day if you don't learn something. You don't know if that was a mistake. Going up and over may have been a bigger mistake. 50+ years ago, in the Army, an old WWII vet Sergeant told me that as long as you wake up alive the next morning, you didn't foul up too bad. Accept that nothings perfect and you're making the best decisions at the time. Good Luck, Rick
hope you feel better and your knee isn't to swollen 🌻
No my knees were fine... A bit sore but fine. I fell great. 😊

It's good training for the Sierra's, that's for sure. Cheers!
Noro. Altitude sickness. Dang. The poor stomach on the PCT. But you shared some very beautiful views on this video. Worth the tummy aches.
I didn't have noro but there was an outbreak in my area.
Altitude sickness, falling, but still a good attitude. You're awesome.
I love being on trail lol. 😊
It’s so great to see you back on the PCT, Groceries! Take it easy out there!
Thank you! Will do!

I would hike all day every day if I could. 😊

Nice to see you back on the PCT, I´m a little behind on your Camino, what´s your plan for the PCT?
Going to Canada and putting this one behind me.
@@AdventureQuencher So you´re basically just walking back home ;-)
