Hi You can get your reverse cam activated by connecting the activation cables to the reverse light circuit/relay/loom as some call it. Try that and it works. Most people have done it this way. So you wouldn't need the switch.
@@sampayne6318 the easiest way is to tap it from the reverse light cable (open one of the tail lights and tap into both wires of the reverse light (the clear light wire), so that anytime you go into reverse the, the reverse light and reverse cam will both be activated or turn on the same time. Give it a go, that's the easiest way I see a lot of people do it. Then you can reuse the switch for a light bar or an all round outside light if camping in a bush alone to see around. I know you can do this from the build you got.
@@sampayne6318 yes I see what you mean. Most people have done it the way I suggest it cus its less complicated. Just tap into the reverse light bulb cable and Bob's your uncle.
Hi. Thanks, yh if you decide you want to go down the 4 berth route then there's not too many options with the layout. I get 27/ 28 mpg, not too bad for a big heavy van!
About damn time! :D Its good to see it all done and you enjoying it, well done mate! Standard product question: What did you get that table arm swivel thing from, Cheers!
Nice one! We have a kinda similar build were just finishing up :) how did you get on plumbing in the malaga 5e? Were currently struggling to find someone to do ours!
Hi. Just had a look at a couple of your vids, vans looking good! Is yours a l4?. Looks longer than mine! Will have a binge on the whole series later:). Hmmm the malaga 5e was pretty straight forward, my number one piece of advice for your water system would be to use the speed fit clip in hoses and connectors rather than bladdy push fit ones which are a nightmare! Water inlet/ outlets on the 5e and speed fit connections anyway so makes sense to stick with that. Also don't forget to get a small section of pvc hose and connect it to the drain port (can lead it out through a small hole in the floor). You can then easily drain it if you're not using the van for a period over the winter. B&q sell the tubing and you can buy it by the meter. Hope this helps 👍
@@sampayne6318 Cheers! Definitely a working progress haha. its the h3 l2, peugeot boxer so basically the exact same as yours :) cheers for the tip! To be honest it is all so new to me that it can feel a bit overwhelming, plus its so hard trying to find any install info about the malaga online. But we do have the same hosing as you by the looks as it :) I also liked the heating pad you have over your waste, such a good idea! We were in a different camper last November in northern Scandinavia and the waste and water tank froze solid for 2 whole months!!! One thing, did you not have any issues mounting the malaga off the floor? I saw you made a video on it. It's just that the manual says it needs to be floor mounted. I ideally we want to put ours onto the boxed off wheel arch area, but it's a bit unclear as to whether that's a big no go and whether an engineer will sign off on it haha
Ah nice, its a good sized van! Yh the heat pad works well, they're pricey for what they are tho... I still had the pipe that it leads to the tank freeze tho so need to come up with a solution for that for this winter 🤔. Don't think there's anything in the gas regs about it having to be floor mounted (mine isn't and has been signed off as gas safe) however it makes sense to keep it as low as possible as when its full of water its basically a 15kg lump that will be bouncing around. The main thing that i took away from the gas regs is the positioning relative to any opening doors or windows as you dont want the combustion gases from the flue floating up into your interior. I can see if I can find the copy of the gas regs that I had if you like ?
@@sampayne6318 oh god that's annoying about the pipes freezing! If youre keen on your skiing then yeah thats definitely going to be a recurring issue. Yeah if we can have it off the ground then that would definitely be more convenient, but we would need to have a serious think about how to avoid it getting flung about. If you do have access to that it would be amazing thank you! :)
@@sampayne6318 heya! We fitted this haha 😅 but long story short after a couple months of use we do seem to get persistent leaks. Have you ever noticed this? Particularly from the plastic join on the cold feed
Great job really well done!
Nice mate enjoy your adventures
I'm so in love with that kitchen and I've always wondered why no one goes with sliding doors so to see that in you van/home is amazing..
Hi do you have a video on how you installed the folding chair please :)

Hi. Yh that was my original plan, however for the life of me I just couldn't find the reverse feed to power the cam!

Nice, thanks. Yh I was trying to find it at the other end i.e by the gear stick

Hi Sam, with the newer insulation you did, do you think someone 6ft 1in + trainers will be ok standing up right in your van? Cheers
Hi. It will be tight. Your head will touch the ceiling if ya stand up straight
Looks awesome! Let the adventures begin 🤙 🏔 🏂 🌊
Great layout! Thinking of doing one myself what’s the fuel consumption like ?
