VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Chad and Leanna knew they wanted to live life on the road, they just weren't exactly sure how when they started. They moved into an RV, gutted and renovated it, but realized once they got on the road that it was just too big. So, rather than throwing in the towel, they sold their RV and went smaller, much smaller. They jumped into van-life and are loving the simplicity and the ability to bounce around. They have a gorgeous garage with everything you would need to get a good workout in and even included a shower and rooftop deck in their build. Enjoy!

I got so used to solo vanlifers, I was like "who's the guy" at first. Got caught up in a cycle. What proceeded was a lovely couple with a great van. 😊 I just had a totally awkward start all on my own lol.

The shower and portable potty are a must. I couldn't live without those features. The garage and drivers swivel seat are a nice added touch. Overall it's a great build.
I have a composting toilet as l can’t do public toilets.
Thank you, finally a van tour that gets the idea of minimalist living, not a lot of stuff and you want what you have behind cabinet doors! So many van conversations or Rv’s are so cluttered for a small space. This opinion comes from someone who lived in a ten foot camping trailer for seven years .

The only thing that has held me back is my Rottweiler. I love him but he sheds so much. Plus he’s not tiny 🤣 how do you two deal with the shedding in such a small space and when it’s raining out. Since you two can take off shoes but your dogs muddy paws can’t?

A heavy quartz countertop + full set of weights in garage is going to cost you dearly in gas and tire wear and tear. Is this necessary? Every lb on the road raises your gas bill.

I think this is one of my favorite van builds yet. I love the gym in the garage. I love the garage in general. But the entire van is just set up great. It has literally everything I think I would ever need to do van life.
Also my favorite part of this video is your beautiful Pittie. Shes just the freaking cutest! lol Such a calm sweet little cuddly baby. I love 4 at home, 3 of them pits (I do rescue) and I am so obsessed with her. Shes reminds me of one of mine. lol
I did want to ask, was it hard to transition her from home life to van life? Its something I would worry about if i ever got to do this.

You need to defrost your freezer that takes up a lot of extra energy. Keeping all that freezer burned ice in there is a waste of space. just a friendly note.

Nice see the bathroom at the back of the van rather then the minute you walk in. Very nice build, nice homey touches. Live the rooftop deck and great to hear you went with solar/lithium! Leanna you are so pretty you should make a more conscious effort to speak into the camera. Rather then telling that good looking guy next to you what he already knows tell us. That way your pretty smile makes people feel like you really are enjoying yourself. “Say cheese!” Spoiled pupper! She’s a sweetheart!

Technically, you can, but the smell is not so good. Also, emptying it is not a fun chore and number 2 makes it much worse lol

The enamel covering the outside of the plates, WILL CHIP, if dropped or banged.
Yes, sadly a couple have chipped, but we're happy that they don't break!
Do either of you have ADHD? I do and I feel like van life would be perfect for someone with ADHD. I get depressed after being in the same place for too long. I've been at my current place for 6 years and I'm going insane lol.

Andrea, When I lived in Germany it seemed to be the only dogs we ever saw, they a very popular breed overseas indeed! Miniature Schnauzers seemed to be second, so our pooch Whisker🐾 fit right in. 😉 here's to Lola n all of us Dog lo❤ers 🍻🤗

Indeed, how some of these people spend mega-thousands of dollars planning and building these things then brush off the idea of a bathroom as "We just stop by a gym" absolutely floors me. Cooking area, bed, shower, toilet...and especially 'toilet' are prerequisites for me.

I have been binge watching on Van builds for the past week and I loveeee your van. A shower and toilet is important to me. I like your garage too! I was planning to put 2 folding bikes for me and my partner so I will most likely copy your design. Don't forget to install CO2 and smoke detectors for your propane tank. And defreeze your freezer hehe it goes to show you two are really living in the van and not like some that I watched that prolly just "lives" in their van for a week and primp it for the tour. I love your plates where did you get those? And the best part? I love your furbaby he/she is a sweetheart and bet a great protection for you two. Stay happy, blessed and safe! My new fave van build!

One of the better van designs I've seen yet! I really like that there is a lot of swivel room behind the driver's seat and that there's not a big wall behind it (like is common with a lot of van designs I've seen on YT). I also like that you don't have to convert your bed back to a seating area. About the only thing I'd change would be the toilet. The fridge being under the bed is the first time I've seen something like that.

@@audreybennett9061 me too. I’m disabled and have a medical service dog. With my feeding tube and central line medical supplies as well as Jake’s bowls and I have 2 other dogs. My daughter and I have a dream to travel and see the US. This is the only way we would be able to do so because of my medical equipment and I need to lay down during the day. I’m so excited to show my daughter this van. We may need to go a bit bigger, but I love this.

I like your build especially the bathroom. How hot does it get in the summertime? What equipment do you use to cool down , similarly in the wintertime how do you get heat?
Thanks for watching! It does get hot, especially in the hotter states during the summer, so we make our travel plans to cooler areas during different seasons! We've learned it's not so fun living in a van when you're sweating all the time lol

It's up to people to choose the breed they like, but pit bulls are a greater risk.
