I use eco pro mode on my 3 series, granted it is a BMW so I still like to have fun every now and then but on long trips I can get really great fuel economy (about 36-38MPG depending on weather, road conditions, tire pressure etc etc.)

I find eco pro mode also allows the car roll a lot easier and it coasts and holds the speed. Try it your selves go down a slight hill and mix between comfort and eco pro, you will feel the car build a resistance in comfort but in eco pro it rolls. Really strange.

Is there a way to see cumulatively how many miles you have saved if you are constantly switching back and forth from eco pro to comfort? I guess what I’m asking is, does the blue mileage saving indicator in eco pro retain its memory or does it reset each time you switch back to comfort mode?
Whats weird is in my 228i, my dynamic mpg indicator is pretty high, sometimes in the 40s while cruising. And based on how often I'm filling up now, I'd say overall im getting much better fuel economy driving around town in eco mode (half a tank lasted about 2 weeks). But my average still says im only getting around 21mpg. Whats up with that? Thats even after resetting my trip meter.

Download bimmercode on your phone, get the ODB adapter, plug it into your car through the port at the lower left corner of the pedals, connect your phone via Bluetooth and then, open bimmercode and read your ECU. You can configure alof of other things too

I always activate my Eco mode and it has done wonders in my gas. I love BMW!

Eco mode in my 2012 328i can get almost 40-50 mpg highway depending on speed but in sport only get like 20 you can guess which one is more fun

Yes I see the blue marker, but in comfort mode it tells you how many miles till you run out. Why doesn't eco. Pro do the same?

It charges the battery without putting a load on the alternator. The engine runs the alternator. Hence it saves gas but not much.
