Thanks for watching and subscribing! You guys are the best!
Uh! Hello! You're never out of Jerry-rig land❤😂 half the reason I watch You!!!
GO, HOLLS! (Re turning the key and the engine stops!)
Even though I am only an Armchair sailor, this is why I watch sailing channels. The cultural exchange is amazing. All of my love and respect. Fair winds and following seas.
Your resourcefulness is an inspiration. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures.
Yay Holly! First, love your cultural exchange. Second, hats off (again) on your mechanical courage and skill. Third, way to make that lemonade kitesailing! You remain my inspiration!
Agreed to all of this 🤩
I love all your adventures Captain but I really enjoy the ones where you interact with the locals. I loved watching how those fellows used both old and new technology to mill lumber from the tree they cut down. Take care of that cold and above all, keep on sailing! ⛵🌴😎
Thanks!! I loved seeing the way they absolutely killed it with their milling. I worked milling logs with a chainsaw mill in Washington state for a bit. We used to jig and it was still hard work
@@WindHippieSailing You got that right!
@@WindHippieSailing yeah basically free-handing it. Impressive.
@WindHippieSailing
Do you know what island this was on pls
I shared this video with a friend from Tanna he was asking.
Thanks so much 🙏
Your videos are always so amazing, it shows that you don't need an expensive drone and the latest cameras to make emersive beautiful videos, just you and an excellent editor.😊❤
Love ur wrk Holly. Be carefull showing ur electrical work... those sparkies tend to get their knickers in a knot 😂
Very safety conscious, wearing a hi viz!! 😀😀😁😁🤔🤔
Another great video Holly. What a great time it must be hanging with the locals and learning how they get by with much less than the modern conveniences we landlubbers take for granted. Someday I hope to do the same. Every time you smile, it makes me smile. Its obvious how much you enjoy this lifestyle and I shall remain envious...I can't wait for the next episode. Until then, happy sailing!
Holly u have a Wonderful voice ! I love when u sing a bit , nice touch ❤
You're absolutely hilarious 🤣 even when you're serious you're absolutely hilarious 😂 having said that, you're a proper sea dog, Sir Francis Drake would be proud of you 👏
These islanders are such mariners that it’s not surprising they appreciate Ms. Martin’s voyage.
Reminder to subscribe! Holly has so many likes on this video - she deserves the subs! Well done.
Good Video, scenery, local interaction and Holly laughing and smiling. Cheers.
Man that's so 😎 love the updates. I like and share with friends ..
Happy sailing ⚓
Fair winds my Maine friend
Cheers from 🇨🇦
Absolutely love coconut water ,, its so refreshing ,,
I absolutly love this girl!
"Death by coconut"... it's a real "thing", down here in the tropics.
Thank you Holly. Skilled craftsmen and their chainsaws!
Wishing you the very best. Sam
Another great episode. Thank you for the hard work involved ❤
Vanuatu is such a beautiful place, definitely on my bucket list of destinations to sail to
Wow that must be awesome to experience something most people in the world will never get to do or see. Another fantastic video Holly
great video. those native guys were amazing. perfect planks with chainsaws. what masters!
Really cool video!!! I like how you make friends with everyone you meet. Interesting..and you made cookies!! You have such good vibes! Hope your feeling better.
I thought this was your best episode yet. You are living the dream! 👍
Very cool, the locals seem incredibly nice!
Beautiful video. I'm glad you can use your key again haha!
Another great video! Good job on fixing your engine stop!⛵️⛵️⛵️
And they said...Jake's leg wasn't the thing to do...I am so happy you have a young man onboard. Enjoy the good times. (you are so happy.. fun to see you this way)
Hi I really enjoy watching you sailing and dealing with everything. Keep smiling
Another great episode Holly.
This woman has more competence than about 98% of sailors, male or female, whom I have ever met or seen. That in 50 years as a licensed professional small craft Mariner (less than 200 tons, upon Oceans.). Holly has probably forgotten more knowledge than 50% of them have ever had! Great job woman!
What a great story on your trip.
Happy for you Holly....looks like you are having time of your life wtg
Thank you for sharing your journeys
Another great video. Glad to see you have a friend to have fun with. People make the world go round ✌️
Inspiring. You are so rich. Stay with it. ❤
Hey Holy, excellent video, your voice when you are narrating you camera work is so calming , love your work, ❤
the guided tour was enlightening, the people were so welcoming and giving. It's great you showed the love people in our world have! thanks again wind hippie!
Thank you Holly for another excellent Video. Love to see you interacting with the locals and I get a small glimpse into the local culture ! I have never cracked open a coconut that way, but want to some day.
Always the best!
Thank you for a fantastic episode. ❤
Thanks for sharing 👍 Hope you feel better!let's go geco!
I haven't watched your videos in awhile. You ARE amazing!
One never forgets the rich aroma of coconuts where copra is made. I miss that smell.
It's very unique!
Spot on with the crimp conn, as an electrician I have done that a few times when proper conn unavailable.
Thanks for another great vid, Holly - Hope your cold gets better soon 😊
Wife and enjoy your show sort of relate some from our Catalina 27 . Keep up the videos
Lovely to watch this. It seems so far removed from all the crap going on in the world.
Wonderful!
Wow! What a great video!
Nice one guys :)
Nice to watch something I don't do: Kiting... In my younger days I've done quite a lot of chainsaw work mostly for clearing fallen trees and firewood... I could never see myself quarter sawing a tree for lumber that looks great... those guys were amazing... You teased with the diving... didn't see any lobster harvesting... Hmmm... anyway was another great vid and good to see you have crew...! Fair Winds...
Hey holly that cable looks like solid core domestic cable you would find in a house this may get metal fatigue and fail due to vibration from the engine it would be better to use stranded core cable if you have it this would be alot less likely to fracture take it easy see you on the next one
I’ve always liked the Grinde - your vessel. I remember seeing one and its smaller sister (brother?) at the Earl’s Court Boatshow in London in January 1976. I may still have the brochure somewhere.
Great video! Lots of interesting stuff... chock full!
20:30 A real Al Bundy! I love it!!!😆😁😄
love the music and it `s a cool edit
Well done guys another great episode with amazing footage cheers !!
What an amazing life
I hope you feel better soon. Amazing video
Feel better XO
Nice work 🙏
those lumbermen would love one of the simple chainsaw mills available in the states!
You amaze me.
Great video. Thanks
Amazing how they can saw the planks so straight.
I know right? So impressive
Hi Holly
I urge you to get some CRC Battery Terminal spray. You should spray it on your electrical connections snd battery posts to eliminate corrosion. Just a suggestion as a preventative measure against corrosion (Green Death) in your cables
Or a small tube of Dielectric grease, no rusty cans, just a toothpaste size tube lasts forever.
Love you, feel better 💕
I was worried the title was a euphemism. Fantastic video, love the island tour and the successful boat work.
Ripping it Up on the board!
Should have taken another piece of bamboo and made some nice wooden spoons for cooking!
Hi Hollie!x.
Unsolicited tip 157, I have found lanolin lightly smeared or better lanolin spray stops the green wire death and helps with any galvanic action between different metals. More user friendly and effective than the old WD.
Walking through that island with no shoes on now that’s brave
Funnily enough my stop solenoid wasn't engaging but it was just corrosion on the spade terminal preventing contact so easy fix. Great content really enjoy your videos
That's a good one to remember
That was very brave letting them on the boat then going with them. Looks like it worked out though... Thank you for the video...
Wow that would have been a huge very old tree, what a waste cutting it down just for some timber
Thanks
Thanks!
You walked past me today in Townsville. I didnt know whether I should bother you and say Hi. Might have weirded you out! Anyways I hope you enjoy your stay!
No way! Was it when I was carrying four new pillows and a backpack of groceries haha. Always welcome to say hi:)
@@WindHippieSailing exactly then. I was in the bar. Felt bad I didn't offer you a lift. Walk the hill while you are here btw...
Hello Round Pond, Maine from Phippsburg, Maine!!
And hello from Boothbay too, great videos, keep up the good work.
Native tree logging just has been banned in my state of Victoria, fingers crossed it might go Australia wide soon.
Cool!
Get well soon . You mentioned before you used to work down in Antarctica . What did you do , boat pilot ? Did you enjoy it down south ?
I worked as a marine technician on icebreakers doing science research support
Thanks for the reply WH , you rock 👍
Do you have that free feeling standing on your flying bridge.
Pick up a tube of dielectric grease. It stops corrosion. Put it in your butt connectors, spade connectors, anything you crimp that's electrical.
electrasol, for wires to stop and save from corosion. Ask them back home over apple pie with cheddar cheese,
Holly when i grow up i want to be like you.By the way i am 65 years old.😁😂
Use dielectric grease on contacts.
Next time you have to strip apart a wire sheath, go to your sowing kit and get your seam ripper. It will save your fingers and time
Good idea! I'll have to get one of those
The ideal trading item is non-GMO seeds for food like watermelon, tomatoes and so on.
❤❤
👏👏👏
A spare whiskey pole?
My heart is destroyed when l see that you have a companion onboard 😔
Yet another cool video but also disturbing. To see large trees chopped down just to construct a lodge is shocking to see . One would have thought that there would be some education programs regarding this on the Islands and also controlling regulations. Trees on Islands play a tremendous role in the survival of the habitat as island soils are mostly poor. But in the extensive root migration, some very interesting exchange of sugars and moisture find place, supporting not only the trees but also the other plant species. Well, paradise found, paradise lost they say. The next generation may wonder why their Island is completely empty. Once the trees go,the rest follow extremely fast.
Ye sad how people are. That tree was old and healthy just sad. Even in warm climate doing this where just shelter from sticks and leaves would suffice. Just building vain sh*t. Vain
Those men need the Alaskan sawmill attachment uses their saw
Should not have cut down the huge koa tree which took them three days to cut down with chainsaws.
Dude right!? So fkn sad 😭. Fkn evil people on this earth
Woop
If they said, I missed it. What kind of tree was that?
