Dev is such a cool dude, chatted with him a bit before a show.
I once met Adam on a coach to Bristol after he did a DJ set in Bath, UK last year. Such a lovely bloke, so happy to see him and the boys getting the limelight they deserve.
I love what he had to say about 'The National', especially about the drums being like a melody you sing over and over. I always find myself singing along to the drums more than I do the lyrics.
Yeah I agree. That's why is one of my favorite albums of all time. I think is their most catchy.
I love his bass sound and bass playing. The rhythm section of Idles is so fantastic, tight and heavy.
love these boys, dev seems like such a nice guy
IDLES. We love these dudes! Great picks!!
Starting with Mogwai and The National, Adam, can I be your best friend
No bro, cuz I asked him first
@@chennforajido can't we all be best friends?
I'm in😎
Idles are amazing!! Great choice s all round.
Yay! More IDLES 'whats in my bag' please! danke. :)
He started off with two of my favourite albums so I'll definitely check out the rest of his picks.
High Violet is one of my top 3 favorite albums of all time. You have great taste, Dev!!
I was at that Sonics show in Reykjavik and yes. It was unexpectedly loud. They are such a great band.
Makes so much sense into how Idles sound like they do.
That Mogwai record is unreal! ‘Too Raging to Cheers’ is a masterpiece!!
Great albums! Especially Mogwai's. That album is my top album by them. You haven't experienced loud until you've been to a Mogwai concert.
My favorite one yet.
I went to college with Dev, great lad.
Giant Swan's one of the best techno releases in ages.
These guys are redefining the UK punk scene
Such a good Mogwai album! I especially love George Square Thatcher Death Party, White Noise and San Pedro
New record is fantastic
Omg dudes thanks 🙏
I luv you man. I'm a bald briz as well. Except you had the courage and fortunes to live your dreams. Bless you and Idles. C ❤👍
Love this freaking band
The Exchange! Damn I miss that place!
their latest album is incredible
I just wanna say this show put me on vinyls. I would like that german post punk album and The Sonics and..all.
Literally just gasped seeing this in my subs
same lmao
Omg genuinely me too! never happens to me
Damn. He's into some intense stuff.
Yes!!!❤️
Euternase is a great band just heard them dam
That Giant Swan record is awesome
Probably the best selection so far. Up the Bristol music scene
Love that he threw a couple of Bristol groups in there.
BTW: Tears for Fears - a Bath band not a Brissol one. ;) Love the Idles, always a blast to see them in their home town.
¡IDLES RULES! 🔥❤👊
GREAT
adam got a great music taste. and he picked up the mogwai album where my voice is on (the last track "you're lionel ritchie")
fuck yes. hardcore will never die is a masterpiece. I have listened to that album so much its burned into my very being.
I lov u 🥺
The sonics ...yes...and the kexp show at the record shop was a five alarm fire...choice. good taste mate!
Love that he picked Spectres new album. My favourite band from the last decade with no one coming close. Abrasive and nasty, really great live. Buy it when it comes out and hear for yourselves just how great they are.
It’s not the Spectres from Canada, totally different band
@@999Dixon999 I know which band he's on about. Been a massive fan of the Bristol based Spectres for years
Couldn't agree more about the drums on The National records. That drummer is the most distinctive drummer around for many the year.
Just giving Sex Swing and wow yeah I can definitely hear what Adam hears in this band. Great stuff. Very minimal. I can hear a lot of their influence in his playing, to be honest.
They just dropped Album of the Year
True
@@carloslopes5322 Wat
@@carloslopes5322 Ahhh, I've never heard of Code Orange but will check em out. Deftones rules and their new album is so good!
For those looking!
Spectres - ‘It’s Never Going To Happen And This Is Why' LP vinyl preorder is available now at www.littlecloudrecords.com and releases October 30th 2020! The album is 🔥!
Did anyone notice the many similarities between the artwork sound and band name and title of the album he mentioned "specteres" is insanely close to the name title vibe and feel of the newest "daughters" album called you won't get what you want....
Let's go to Schorndorf and play another greatful show
Oh yeah my dude, who's Watched Ultra Mono Premiere live?
Me yes
@@hbups
Well Played
Meu Deus cheguei cedo
Heck yeah, garage classics the Sonics
The best! My favourite garage band, and a hands down all time fave, full stop!
Giant swan rules
i like the home editions much more
Me too
High violet is the nationals best album in my opinion
✌🏼♥️🎵🎶
The Sonics! True proto-punk from the PNW
Some excellent choices there to go and investigate.
TFF, at the end there, really surprised me, but everyone's got their skeletons in the closet, or guilty pleasures, as they are known as these days.
ITS HIM THE DANCING BEAR BASS PLAYER.
Euternase means udder nose :D „oiturrnawsuh“
Everybody's collection is more eccentric than mine! My collection is mostly just the standards!
Eclectic?
Electric?
Esoteric?
Endemic?
Erotic?
Dev can talk!?
Ultra Mono is so fucking good.
I like driving around locations, thick with gammon whilst blasting out 'Model Village'
*The guys n Idles are such exceptional people, here is another example. Their music does not do much for me as I prefer a harder, more intense type band...Idles remind me of Pearl Jam, I do not like the music but like the people!*
DEV
I feel better about liking The National now, get some flak about them being "a Dad band" or "Yacht rock"
Nah they’re not yacht rock, that’d be tame impala
@@dougthealligator
Tame Impala are definitely not yatch rock
Crazy prayingmantis tame impala are 100% yacht rock
@@dougthealligator
If you say so
Noice👍Most important/dangerous band in the UK.
Get the new Napalm Death, see how it's done.
‘Stuffed Animals’ by Dead Students out now on Im From Brooklyn Records. soundcloud.com/user-752843566/stuffed-animals
Awww no sleaford mods in the collection?? 😉
For all the Americans , Bristol is where hard nuts come from , it’s also where the best music scene is in the UK .
@Andrew O'Keefe that explains why nobody is looking for you in that 5 mile ratio.
Just don't mention the city's drug problem.
Love the new album. 5 angry feminists breaking moulds and fucking rocking ittttt.
Where was Joe
Idles is a great band. But if you're a kid I'd recommend checking out some Crass records first. Trust me.
I'm 14 and I can comfortably say that Limp Bizkit is the real voice of my generation
nooooo not the same
The germans band name is funny:
At first it sounds like euthanasia. but then you have the combination of euter+nase which means udder+nose.
No unsigned EP by DjArif in the bag.. No I thought not.
Everything from Bristol but the chicken.
Beard is long
Teenage Pantsercorp
Mogwai, The National.... *falls into coma*
who ?
Hope it's not the new Idles album, you'll be disappointed.
Imagine listening to shite all day and thinking it’s stunning and amazing.
Idles is music for dudes who are really excited for the next Marvel movie
I do not personally think that is true X TRO
Dudes? Are you from the U S of A? PS It's not the case old chap.
Worst band I’ve heard get so much press.
impossible when there’s Imagine Dragons out there
Should’ve picked not making a bad album
Stfu dude
Aight 🤐
