@@tg6373 As a Preamp its great espically for pricepoint, I will put it like this Theirs 1k preamps i have bought that I liked the 6000a more so the 6000a is solid Preamp and the Aune X8 Majic dac paired up very well with the A.L.
@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 did you review the Vidar/6000a combo?
@@tg6373 not yet but very soon I will !!!
You shouldn't mix and match two brands of amplifiers to biamp ie bad idea to use audiolab integrated amplifier with emotiva power amplifier to biamp as gain/voltage structure could be different. If you want to bi amp with audiolab integrated get the match audiolab poweramp that is paired in same spec. Or use the audiolab integrated as a pre only and use two matching poweramps ie emotiva to biamp
I biamp all the time as long as gain is the same its worked out for me And i never go above power thats a 2 to 1 ratio
. Well, mixing brands is fine (even sometimes desirable) but like you said there's a couple things to be aware of before just buying power amps. Input/output impedance & line voltage are two. And ya, channel gains are almost a necessity unless there's an active crossover or DSP. edit; Even so, I still want variable gain.

A britih piece of hardware with decent electrolytics? Cannot be! I wonder where the hidden failure points are, except the usual caps close to heatsinks.
@puciohenzap891 I didn't give it all that great of review but some people will like it very un colored but I wish it sounded a little more robust n full
@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120isn't that what you want on an amplifier uncolored and neutral, you can then tune your sound with speakers or dac
Church loool go on tee jay
😃 I miss the amp!!! But i had it for 7 months dam it was good for price
Audiolab 8300-XP 140@8 $2,699 vs Parasound A21+ 160@8 $1,999 ......................................
I'll take the ParaSound solely due to the variable channel gains.

Yeah I would most likely also go with Parasound depending on what speakers I would be using also. I didn't know A21 ➕️ was that cheap but I am not a fan of rated watts or how many watts I've owned 300 watt @4 ohm emotiva Amps that couldn't outdrive my Denon pma 1700 @140 @4ohms Denon is twice as heavy almost ' quality of watts is what matters '
@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 .
I'm curious. Any of those bands I mentioned get your toe tappin'?
I wouldn't buy the 8300xp at that price you can find it much cheaper than that and it's also at the end of line, so soon to be discontinued. It's a great power amp I really like it, smooth and sweet and analytical, very neutral and has potential for bridging to 480w and XLR and RCA Inputs, good electrical components and built by a good company with a long history in engineering music equipment. They represent vfm
@carlitosgomez71 Yeah I actually preferred my 52 Yamaha ' But Audiolab was very transparent and balanced just wished it had more body n weight to the sound ' the galion TS-A75 imho a better amp ' @1500'
@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 I've added 2 8300xp in bridged mono and two subs all the weight and body one needs 👌
