I've got the 6000a + CDT, not long upgraded my speakers from MA BX1 to the Quad S2's and im getting a great sound from this combination very happy with it.
I also have the 6000a great little amp with good features, sounds great as long as you dont push too hard then it becomes a little strained with difficult loads, then added the 8300xp and used the 6000a in preamp mode, again a higher leap in performance sounds so smooth and sweet that it make me drift into a deep sleep and now i have the upgrade bug to get a second XP to biamp or use in bridged mono mode, just on the fence on this as i dont need the extra power but it would look sweet and likely have more headroom better channel separation and total control of any speaker. This would likely be my final audiolab lab purchase for the immediate future, im just a little concerned that bridged amps wont give that return on investment and introduce more distortion. Audiolab are introducing their new lineup of 9000 preamps and power amps which are less powerful than the outgoing older models
I'm really impressed with the sweet, smooth, and clear sound of the Audiolab amps, and the amazing soundstage they offer. I've been comparing the Topping LA90D with the Audiolab 8300XP using a Mojo 2 Dac and an Aune S17 preamp. While the Topping LA90D excels in detail and clarity, it doesn't quite deliver the musicality and midrange weight of the 8300XP!

but audiolab doesn't sound sexy

Having two 8300XP would be insane! Let me know how that goes!
