Can Dillion fill the very big shoes of Bo Nix? Remains to be seen. Oregon doesn't want a "star" QB as much as it wants a QB who can run the offense and manage the game with all the different weapons they've assembled. Reading Defenses play by play is as important or more so than slinging' the ball around.
Reading defenses is something Dillon is very good at. He dissected things very well in Oklahoma. The issue is physically ability and if he is capable of getting the ball where it needs to be with precision, and on time.
It is a great time to be a Duck fan. Some commentators on national level think Oregon has right pieces for going 12-0, though I lean toward 11-1. Someone leaked conversation a few weeks ago that Ryan Day was "nervous" about coming to Autzen Oct 12. Oregon should be 5-0 at that point and have momentum. OSU might have same record. That game is the Big Mid-Term Exam for both teams. If Oregon beats Ohio St, Michigan may be in trouble. Same for Wisconsin.
