It seems as though the Big 10 are full of excuses. Before the season.... everyone said Oregon would get their welcome to the Big 10... and now all I am hearing are excuses. The short passes set up the long ball. Illinois sat back all day. Oregon just take what you give them.
@@JMiles003 you can go back and check out past podcasts. We had Oregon vs Ohio State as the game of the year and expected them to play 3 times this season. Don’t lump us with other media - or don’t be so lazy. We thought Oregon would be the only team to be able to play with the Buckeyes.
@illiniguys4844 ok, but making claims Gabriel only throws 3 yard passes is crazy. It is in line with excuses Oregon have had to read after every Big 10 win.
@@illiniguys4844 you guys are losing in your own comment section. Gabriel threw it deep the entire game against Ohio state. Illinois rushed three the entire game. That means the underneath is gonna be open. Couple of old heads who are clowns.
You guys do realize that Oregon's leading edge rusher Jordan Burch did not play due to injury? Oregon's starting TE Terrance Ferguson also was out do to injury. Illinois didn't lose to a roster at full strength another scary omission.
Gg Illinois. Thanks to all those who traveled to Eugene. Hope you enjoyed yourselves, as much as you could. You guys were competitive for the 3rd quarter against an elite team. Keep progressing, keep supporting your team. Go Ducks!
My jaw dropped when you said Gabriel will be going to the Heisman ceremony on the backs of 3-4 yard passes. Clearly you haven't watched Dillon play. I can't watch any further though. This is a joke.
Oregon fan- 1st of all Oregon has rarely gotten a 5 star recruit, but with good coaching they play as well or better than a 5 star recruit. Oregon has famously made it to the big dance in the PAC12 at the Rose Bowel just to lose. I was not looking forward to being part of a different conference and not playing the teams we were used to, but this year has been great. Dan Lanning is great at recruiting and it is showing. It helps that Ohio State is not that great this year and neither is Michigan. We will see what happens in the next few years. Thanks for being in Eugene and Autzen.
@allhallowseve2000 there are now but it wasn't like that before. My point is don't think that it is going to be a long time before you are at the top. Even during the Chip Kelly years we could not stack up against the big guys, but we found a way to get attention and recruits. Keep building and don't give up. The only consistency in college football is inconsistency. Anyone can have a bad game any day and with the new playoff structure the door is open for the upset.
As an Oregon fan who was at the game, I think you team played well. My seats are over the visitor's tunnel. I was shocked to see how crushed the Illini players were after the game. I hope it does not taint the rest of the their season. They have guts and efforts. 10-2 is a great season.

Three and four yard passes. Really. Obviously you've never watched an Oregon game before this season. Saying that shows a level of ignorance that is scary.
Great perspective on where Illinois football is at and where they need to go . As the merger made BG10 more competitive. Now the money they received needs to be spent.. Illinois football minimum should be bowl games every year.
IL needs to upgrade its talent. I am not convinced that developing 3 stars from high schools will help to build a top 3/4 B10 team. We need to depend on the portal, just like the MBB team. The remaining games are going to be challenging. 8-4 is highly probable, and it could be as much as 10-2.
Guy keeps saying that Illinois needs to recruit Dudes with a Capital D. I'm sure Bret is trying his best to get those players; however, Oregon has Uncle Phil with the deepest pockets and NIKE that is enticing 4* and 5* players to go to Oregon. Illinois doesn't have that! Seriously, would a 5* player rather play for NIKE or Illinois?

3-4 yard passes. Yes that happens. That's the offense. Have you seen the Ohio state and Purdue games of late? He threw 30-50 yard darts
You know Gabriel throws a very nice deep ball, right.

I'd say he needs more NIL funds. The correlation between NIL cashflow and recruiting rankings isn't a coincidence.
Good game. Go Ducks
Lol Dillon Gabriel throws much more than just 3-4 yard passes. Watch the game against Ohio State for example.
If Oregon didn't take their foot off the gas they win by 50+. This game was not remotely close and was never going to be lol

If Illinois is a 10-2 team, it means that the B1G conference is pretty weak this year.
Ducks will beat you in a variety of ways, and will beat you based on what you give them. Very balanced team.

I miss the pac 12. Top to bottom a better conference than the weak big 10
Interesting take considering Oregon is basically the only pac12 team having success in the Big10
