Colorado went from 1-11 to 4-8, and everyone thought their coach was a miracle worker. Northwestern went from 1-11 to 8-5 with a bowl win over Utah and nobody even noticed. Deion is one of the great self promoters of all time.

Since 2015 Northwestern had two 10 win seasons, a 9 win season, 5 7+ win seasons, and went 7-2 as recently as 2020.
Since 2015 Colorado has had a season where they’ve won more than 5 games once. In the past two decades they’ve only eclipsed 5 wins 4 times 😂
Clearly Colorado has been a much worse program over the last 20 years and has a much different path to turning them around 😂

I blame the officials for not calling any penalties on CU the first half (especially that blatant false start) and Briles for running the ball down the throat of CU, only to "spice it up" and have Chandler Morris throw a pick. FFS. _Every play was a successful running play_ so he decided to pass. 🤦‍♂ It sucked that despite a piss-poor defense and no tape to watch, we lost by 3. If we could have won that game, the season for both teams would have been truly different.

The issue is that Colorado averages 3-5 wins per year and everybody focused on the previous year where they had 1 win. So they basically had an average year with a whole new roster so we can’t really say if this is a better year or just a normal Colorado year. Almost the whole roster was new and as you pointed out it is unprecedented. Really hard to say if he turned the program around or just brought in new talent to hype the year. And if he wants more deions, what’s stopping them from changing teams like he did? So when Colorado had to take them to 2OT to win, I knew things were going to get rough for the Buffalos. I mostly stay in pro sports for a lot of reasons, but Prime had me glued to every game up to the Stanford loss. Absolute must watch TV for the first 4-6 weeks given your taste for hype. Even after that I found myself watching the highlights even if every outcome was an L. The Travis Hunter injury was devastating, the OL eventually got overwhelmed once teams got tape on their schemes, and overall the positivity ended up being toxic to a sustainable season. However like you said, this was an improvement for any normal program. The talk outside of the CU hype bubble is that you've got to go from losing big, to losing small, to winning small, to winning big. I'm not sure if they can accomplish that all by the time Prime's sons go off to the NFL, but honestly I'd be happy to be wrong. If nothing else, he's made college football relevant outside of the SEC plus the rotating cast of 4-5 teams. It's a reach for sure, but I think Washington might need to send some kudos his way for getting eyes on the Pac-12 in general to provide legitimacy to both Oregon and Washington on their way to that championship game. Last time Oregon was in the dance... it didn't go well.

Those first few games he was wearing Nothing but, Coach Prime, gear. Once a couple losses started popping up, he quickly put on that CU gear.

wsu dropping 56 points on sanders is crazy, especially when wsu was on a 5 game game losing streak
