This isn't anything shocking. This situation is just as bad in the west. For married men it's probably 75-80 percent at the very least, in most developed countries. There has been studies done on men in the west in varying age groups and the frequency of "encounters" they have wiith women. These are usually surveys of thousands of men. 55-65 percent of men 18-35 haven't had a single "encounter" with a woman in a year, from the last few surveys. Further, around 35 percent of 18-25 YO men reported being virgins. These numbers are very, very different from women's. This is because of dating apps and social media. Women are dating the top 10-ish percent of men within their vicinity available on the app. Essentially, women are sharing the top percentage of men, whether they know it or not. This is also reflected in statistical data regarding gender differences in STD rates.

There are so many people who would love to have a child if they could raise that child instead of being locked in an office for the entirety of their childhood.

I love how “Mansion” マンション in Japan means an average condo. In English, a mansion is a giant house for the mega rich. The ultimate troll for who ever brought this katakana word to Japan.
I think making friends is easy in Japan. The key is being part of an organisation in which you share common interests and values. Sporting clubs are my area of experience and whether it's Australia or Japan or anywhere, new members to sporting clubs are usually welcomed with open arms. New members are absolute gold in particular if they are skilled at the particular sport. Even new members who may have to learn the skills of their chosen sport will be very welcome. I have no doubt if I lived in Japan and positioned myself near a yacht club, bought a boat and began competing regularly I would be fully accepted and have lots of new acquaintances. Yes I speak Japanese so that really would help.
If you think house prices are bad in Japan you should see Australia. In any of the 3 major cities it costs at least $AUD1M to buy a house within 10km of the city (much more in Sydney). Even if you buy in a peripheral location it will cost $500-600k to buy a house and land.

I’m 60's years old Japanese man, I also find it difficult to understand his situation. If his family were financially struggling and only had one bedroom, that would be understandable. However, he lives in a standalone house, where it’s typical to have at least two or three bedrooms. A typical Japanese family lives in a rental or owned apartment or house with two or three bedrooms (usually around 80 to 100 square meters), and except for babies who need nursing, family members generally have separate bedrooms from their parents.

> A former colleague of mine ever joked: in a relationship you first have sex twice a day, then twice a week, then twice a month and in the end you're begging for twice a year. > In my experience Japanese can understand English but are reluctant to speak. In some cases, I wrote my question down and they immediately understood. Btw: a question I still have > when I traveled often to Japan 20-15 years ago, most homes did not have central heating systems like we do in Europe. To my surprise I saw plenty of people use small petrol heaters. Is this still the case or do modern Japanese houses have floor heating or other means of central heating like we do in Europe?
Well this is why I think so, men think that sex is something women GIVE to men, which is no fun for women. Maybe a lot of men are not good at pleasing women and need to learn that skill. Also some people just don't like sex, I think it's completely normal. I made my intentions with sex clear from the very beginning because I just don't care about it
In the USA I've found much of the larger inner city housing is relatively cheap and suburban and rural housing is much higher. We don't have good convenient transportation so no reason to stay in central city. The central city is left to low income people. Detroit is dying. Jobs move to the suburbs. It it is such a a complicated infrastructure.

Very good explanation by John Coogan on TH-cam about Japanese decline
after seeing your bedroom, all the social issues of japan make sense. is this a common arrangement? will the kids be staying in that room through high school??
Write a letter to your life before you leave for work from time to time to help improve the communication between the two of you…
In my opinion you should sell all your toys (clear out that spare room) and let the kids sleep there. You can make some money and maybe have more alone time with wife.
I agree, I feel like he is unconsciously setting himself up for the wrong thing.
No wonder the wife wants to leave. The children are even in the bedroom! There are no boundaries in this household. 😢
for real, but it looks like they couldn't afford to split up and keep two households
Inflation is a C word in Japan, the orientals don't mind living in squaler, no rebel spirit or organisation to fight for better apparemtnts in society @@funicon3689
Ikr ,not appropriate to have kids sleeping on floor ,they need proper beds and boy/girl arrangement not right either as they get older 😞
You guys never had kids, or for that matter never were kids. Must be test tube babies.
it's not uncommon for a family to share a bedroom in Japan. This isn't unique to 50 year old middle aged Japanese man.
Thank you sir
Hiding inside the closet, wearing a fedora. His case is getting more serious.
Word dude, I’m getting worried 😦 ❤❤❤
Where is the link to the study?
Ojisan it's my first day of the new year of school wish me the best 😔🙏🏿
I want to know when our resident 50 year old Japanese man learned English. In school? Used for work? He seems fairly fluent.
Where’s the article? What did the professor suggest ??😭
You can have a best friend that lives somewhat far apart that you only see a few times a year. He means he doesnt have friends he hangs out with regularly.
You didn't answer my personal question, but you answered it from another person, and I'm guessing a few people asked it. Thank you! I also think Hungary's idea is worthwhile, although it's apparently causing some financial problems for their government.
"bro" and "sup" are used by a lot of people in general here in America, regardless of skin color/race
They are not sleeping with eachother, she's too stressed.
A smile and occasional laugh would help.
@@patriciaj6193 typical woman solution..
When I use the word "Bro", I talk with you as an equal. We are of the same age. I don't think of my self smarter or more senior to you. I just have my own opinions, which of course, you can take or leave.
Putting that particular question and only that single one in the thumbnail might be exposing the act a little bit, just FYI. Especially knowing that your wife can easily type that into Google translate.
