I have worked constant night shifts for 13 years and started feeling more comfortable alone . Am 40 years old . I have distanced myself from friends and family and go to the gym at nights when not working . As long as we are not sad when alone we can manage we are never alone in our loneliness . Stay safe bro

There are lots of ways to meet people. Clubs are great. Book clubs, science clubs. Look some up in your area. You'd be surprised whats out there.

However I made a great group of online friends playing video games and make it a point to discord as a group as much as possible, and they are my saving grace when it comes to de-stressing.

I'm very apathetic but I do not consider that a bad thing, I'm just not very invested in life- yet I am quite happy. Life is theater to me and I like observing it from a distance, I find existence and consciousness very interesting and spend a lot of time thinking about these things. I'm 46 years old and spend all of my time alone, by choice. I never feel lonely, nor do I feel bad for living this way, I think it's actually kind of great. I do have a loyal dog and that is about all of the companionship I desire. I'm definitely kind of a weird guy and very atypical but I consider these things to be my best qualities. To each their own!
