I started this video with a little skepticism about such a broad subject but after watching it I loved the way it was presented and the info was spot on. so I subscribed, great video
I fully restored my 67 Coupe in Australia Restomod but still LHD Body and paint 16k Complete to turn key 70k plus But cheaper than my divorce and a lot more satisfying
I haven't really thought about the cost but just for the enging....500 for the block, 2800 for the short build, 22 hundred for aluminum heads, 400 for carb, 365 for intake and 900 for complete exhaust......Holy moly!! for a 351w, mine was a bit...PLUS the loss money on a 289 hi po From Crebb engineering which was a 4 grand mistake....plus install, take out, resend back and 1000 install again....Man...just for the engine in mine was well? I don't think about it...just enjoy the hell outa it and drive it like i Stole it....would i do mine again? No way...but it's fun as F.....lol
Im restoring a 1969 fastback. But no way it will be done for 6K. You cant even get a quality paint job for 6K. I paid 15k for the car with a running motor and most parts present. Some needed replaced. I have a running budget in place and have arrived at the following additional expenses. Body and Paint 10 to12k, interior 3k (That includes dash panels, heater, carpet, etc), wheels and tires, 1.5k, Engine removal, rebuild, replace (with new tranny and new heads, camshaft, carb, etc) 7-8k. Misc $500. Taking ther high side of the ranges, Total comes to 40k. But a quality restored 69 Fastback will bring in excess of 70k.
A rust free V8 Mustang for $3,800.00? I hope you're getting my point. Have you pulled your carpet to see what the floor boards look like? Now that would be an interesting video. Not saying that you have not done a good job, you have, it's just not realistic as presented. If folks want to know what a restoration will cost you can tell them with confidence that it is unknowable. More than likely it will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 to 20 thousand dollars to get any mustang up to a nice level. Do you consider your Mustang restored?
My dream ... Yall have so many of them that side in USA 😭 In my country South Africa this car is a unicorn 😍

Thanks! I try to be brutally honest in my videos and be consistent! I’m glad you like the video and thanks for the subscribe!
Thanks. I just retired and want to do this. I've had 9 Mustangs through the years but never a 65.

I hope you're talking about doing zero work yourself... You are getting seriously robbed or better be creating an absolute monster of a car at 70k. 😐

Thank you!
Hey I’m looking at a 1966 mustang that I’m thinking about buying do you think the 66 is worth it?
It’s only worth it if you like it. Please don’t go into a project if you only plan on flipping it to make money. Imo
Mmmmmm
