Griffin, I love your videos. You get that your viewers are here to learn, and your practical, real-world-scenario breakdowns are amazingly helpful. I also love that you're so authentic and relaxed in your videos. No vanity, no catch phrases, just a regular guy sharing his hard-earned knowledge. Thank you, man!
I just used one of these to help add some small kick to a family by a campfire scene I was shooting. I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless it was , I was able to set it back 10- ft feet from the fire and just gave me the right amount of lift on their faces. To my mind it paid for itself right there. It really is a great balance of a good amount of power in a small, portable, easy to use size and I love that I can match almost any other light source/ colour temp I might come across. Love your content and look forward to each and all of it.
Always appreciate your support Christopher! I love the MT pro's for the same reason you do. It's a great tool when you just need a little tiny pop of light.
Great video Griffin! Really cool lights. Based on Photometrics provided by B&H (provided by the manufacturers) the Nanlite PavoTube II 6C seems about 10-15% brighter, but they only make 65 minutes full power vs. Aputure than makes 120 minutes full power (which is almost twice as long). Price-wise however, you can get 2 almost 3 Nanlite for the price of one Aputure. My experience is that for 'in-frame' practical lights you dont ever need to run them on max. power. Power is necessary when want to illuminate larger areas or surfaces. For in the shot effect, I generally run them at 20-30% only which bumps up the battery life to hours. Thx for the great video!
Great one dude! These look sweet! I wish the grids came with the t4c’s. Thanks for explaining CRMX too! Excited for what’s coming up next from you bro!!! 🔥
Nice practical demonstration and definitely a cool new light! I got two PavoTubes 6cii by Nanlite that are very similar but not with individual controllable pixels, like the Aputure version now. I sometimes struggle to find good use for them, even tho i like them. Was good to see how you include them in a scene and looking forward to spit them in future videos!
Great video, how the hell did you manage to get that living legend that is Flomaster in your video?? That man is a HipHop dancing legend. Love how he’s just casually cameoing in this haha The MT pro looks great, i just bought a set of MCs but definitely going to check them out as well
Question, you like to pair the Canon 35mm 1.4 Mk ii with the Canon 85mm 1.4 is. What is your option on pairing it with the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art? Does it affect the color matching? Thanks!
Griffin, okay, question… maybe you said it, but i watched twice and didn’t catch it. What’s is the light output value? Also, you noted these are RGB lights…can i control individual colors to get an accurate daylight color? Lastly, love the plastic cover… are those covers “pop on/ pop off”? (If i can’t control the cover, then pop on/off would allow me to add gels to manually control color. I very interested in these given my other aputure gear is so solid. Thanks for the vid
Hey Mike! Thanks for watching. I didn’t actually get the output but I know it is brighter than the other tube lights on the market for comparable size. The lights don’t allow for the cover to pop off but they can match any color so no need for gels!
I'm trying to NOT be offended that you put the grid on it and then didn't mount it back..... why? does the magnet BREAK when using the grid? c'mon man... why u do dis?? 😕
If the words "thank you Aputure for sending these out" appears in the video, I don't expect to hear the bad side to them. Same videos as the MCs which are not bright enough unless you want 20 min of battery life. I expect the same from these. When they have 4 foot cheaper versions then I will pay attention.
I talked about the 4 foot cheaper versions in the video 😄 And I was being honest and up front with my experience with the lights and also transparent with the fact that they sent them out. Not much to dislike in my opinion other than the fact that they don’t have 4 footers available yet
@@GriffinConway the dislike would be that Aputure known for cheaper alternatives, getting more and more expensive with gimmicks like more pixel density. The problem is that so many influencers and so called filmmakers (that make no films except influencer youtube vids) are only spitting sales points so it makes it harder to trust any product video. Not saying that's your intention but it has become a problem. I myself have been given free products to give positive reviews on Amazon but if the product ends up not up to par, I update the video, regardless if I lose a free equipment arrangement or not.
@@davidlovephotog2 just because YOU don't need pixel density doesn't mean it's a gimmick. You complain that you want cheaper but then complain about the cheaper alternative, what do you want man? Make your own or something. And the MC lasts a solid hour on full brightness so for all your complaints about the filmmaking chops of others I have to wonder if you actually make films yourself because you don't seem very knowledgeable. It's not Aputure's fault you can't afford their products, they don't need to lower the quality to your level you need to raise your income to their level or find another cheaper brand that suits your needs

Scott, what a nice comment. It’s comments like this that make all of this worth it. Thanks so much, and I’m glad you are finding the videos helpful!

Love that first use on that little metal conduit in the back... nice job!
They are so perfect for small practical applications like that! Love these lights
Yessss. Stoked to see you get these
Thanks Benj! Stoked Aputure reached out for these
Those barn doors look a lot like a grid lol
Love your videos, Griffin!
They are the most practical and real-use scenarios, love it!
Thank you so much Romain!

I have the same complaint with my T4C’s the battery is so heavy. I hope Aputure comes out with a larger version of the MT in the very near future.
We are only asking 5 years for it, don't hold your breath...
Ya I’m just gonna out my card on file for the 4 foot versions with a charging case lol
@@GriffinConway that would be the biggest Insta purchase ever
Very nice but man idk if the price point makes much sense unless your trying to stay in the system and get a few extra features

Thank you Nath! Ya the Pavo tubes are nice as well. I have the 4 foot ones and I like them a lot. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos! Real life scenarios! Also, Flo is a MEAN southpaw!!
Thank you for your video comparison 🙏🏻
Thanks for watching Robert!
Great video and demonstration. Subscribed!
Hello Griffin!
If you were to choose between two mt pro’s or one mt pro and one pt2c, what would be your choice!
I would go for the two MT pros. I use them all the time!
@@GriffinConway 💪Nice!
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it!
Good stuff man, thanks!
Thank you!
Good stuff 🔥 keep it up man
Great video Griffin! We're just down the street in north county San Diego. Keep killing it in Orange County!
Nice! I’m shooting in San Diego tomorrow actually haha

Backordered until September 😥
Try posting on the Aputure group and see if anyone knows where to get them. Sometimes the smaller camera stores have them in stock
