Hey friends 🫶🏼 it looks like there is a glitch about half way through, It must’ve happened on the TH-cam upload , I’m sorry!!!! What I was saying, is it puts it in a white container and softens it. And Bowens mounts give you a variety of modifiers to help shape
I love this new style!! Pacing, storytelling, music, sound design, and of course the lighting was on point. It was fun hanging out "on set" with you for part of this video.
Im here in my 3hr of light recommendations on TH-cam....ffff...suddenly this popped up - just this your creativity here....thats everything. Thank you!!!
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,721 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I agree! It’s very versatile and packs a punch. As much as I need a 600c, these 300c’s are amazing for their price. I’ll definitely pick up another when they go on sale next
Loved that you took the time with intro! The whole video is captivating and engaging. Thanks for going the extra mile on this video! I know it takes a lot of work.
lol this is so ironic because i had just bought this light earlier TODAY and saw your video and was about to cancel my order and look into the one you recommended. looks like i made the right choice! great video, cheers :)
This video came out at the perfect time, as I want to focus more on video work and start building an interview kit. I appreciate all the info you shared; it has helped a lot as I try to find my way into the video realm.
Would the 300C be strong enough to light an interview subject seated in their living room with daylight coming through a window somewhere (either from the side or worse yet from somewhere behind them)?
Thanks for the video! It really helps to understand that sometimes one light can be enough for many different scenarios! I also got to see that you can make this light as a spot light and helps in other different situations.
Very cool video. I loved the shot where we see the street lights sweep over the light carrying case while its in your backseat. Sweet. Of course, the rest of the video is epic. Amaran 300c for the win.
I recently purchased one myself and I agree. It's better to buy once, cry once, that it is to buy something that you are going to have to replace in a few months. Surprisingly, this light ticks a lot of my professional use case boxes, even as a "content creator" branded light.
I'd have to say stretch your budget and get the 600C. Unless you only shoot one person in a small-ish studio, there are too many situations when the 300 doesn't have enough power to punch through big diffusion or compete with sunlght.
Well then.....I just bought this light a few weeks ago and was thinking about getting that spotlight mount showed near the beginning. Looks like I know what I'll be getting next!
Great video, if I had to have only one, then I'd go Aputure 600c outdoor use with better weather resistance and extra brightness, plus massively modifiable
This video sold me on the 300c after debating. Aputure should sponsor you if they don't already. If you started with this light and built a small kit around it, which lights would you add?
I get they need to save money through the plastic body etc, but not including any form of DMX communication was a silly decision. It would’ve of cost them an extra few bucks, and then it really would be a no-brainer purchase for those of us who use other brands too. Trying to lock everyone into a Sidus only ecosystem isn’t a wise decision, as that has some major shortcomings when trying to precisely sync lights with music or action
I am curious because I saw in a lot of your videos you been using F22X a lot and I really love the effect from both, but it seems F22X comes in a little bit easier to set up. Can you breakdown a little bit more between these two options and gives out some tips on which one to get?
Maybe this question belongs elsewhere. But I’m looking into spotlights and I’m worried about spill. I see some in the wider shots. Clearly not visible when you are doing a medium or close. Has it ever felt problematic to you before? Many thanks!
I clicked on this video at 5pm. - I went on bh and compared a bunch of aputure options (saved the 200x for later, bc this is sufficient enough for me and i dont need or want rgb, since it also reduces total output drastically) - I bought the aputure t4c - and planning to buy a ~60cm lantern modifier Now its 8pm. You basically did something in me and went all crazy on lights. Anyway. What about modifiers and attachments (I dont know much of them) but I've seen things like "fresnels" and spotlights, and barn doors and such things - if you only had one light, you'd still put some nice things on, huh? Which things. And what exactly does a fresnel do? Great video Brady, - M
Just bought one and the internal fan came broken, it makes a loud rattling sound that's an audio killer. Kinda disappointing and I'm not sure I want to take it apart to fix it myself due to warranty. But then again I have not heard great stuff about Aputure's customer service.
Thanks for the great video and the reassurance on this light. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is something I will be getting for Xmas. It won’t help us in our outdoor Beer 🍺 Vlogs. But it does seem to be a perfect light for home studio, and Interior interview shoots. - Eric ZORK Alan & Sweetie [ Professional Poets & Bed 🛏️ & Beer🍺 Vloggers ]
Great video Brady. Can you say anything about why 300 is the ideal, do-it-all level of power? It's something I've picked up from just watching you and a load of others, but I've never read/heard anyone articulate this. It seems 300 is just the ideal combination of size, price and power.
Question; single source leds (like the mentioned aputure 300c) are maxing out at ~7000-10.000K … can I still gel those max numbers, and get even yellower / warmer light that way?
@@BradyBessette In terms of talking head video key light, would you recommend the Amaran 200xs or 150c? Not sure which one is more important and future proof. More light or more color? 😮
The 300C is probably the best first light that is a do-it-all style. I have the 150C (mainly because of budget constraint) and while it is good in almost all circumstances, it does feel limited when using with a very large softbox (120cm). The 300C would be better in this case and I highly recommend it, given how good the 150C is.
Hi guys, I’m at the junction of picking up the Amaran 150c or 200xs for my first TH-cam talking head video key light. Any advice on which one I should choose would be very much appreciated!

Hey dude!!! Thank you sir it was so fun, I def gotta come back and just hang out, maybe play some cod 😤
@@BradyBessette Would love to play some with you and the boys
There's a render problem at around 3:07 :) might wanna reupload
but this video is such a banger!
I agree
Yeah I’m sad about it, I’m just gonna leave it up, I pinned a comment with what I said
@@BradyBessette I think that's fine, I hope the video will perform well anyway!

comparison is the thief of joy
Just got myself a 300c. Legit my favorite light in my kit. Used it along side my 60x and it’s a perfect match
Great job. You've found your style!
F22C + 300C + Spotlight = Perfect Minimal Kit.
Which spot light ?
@@samirawalehfilms2880He means the spotlight accessory for the 300C
I agree with your light choice. though I'd probably rank the spot attachment below a 3rd light, like a 200d.
I did something similar but I’ve used a few P60Cs to replace my F22c and to me that was a better match for me
This is literally the video I’ve been looking for for months!👌🏾 God bless you
Thank you Daniel!!!

Yeeeees you will kind sir. And those videos better have you in them too
Just always trying to impress you 🥺
love that scooter cutaway
Gonna be my new thing 🥺
Almost a year later, especially with how many lights have come out since, is this still your 1-light preference, Brady? Thanks!
Appreciate you actually showing the light being used. My space is smaller. I think the 150c will be perfect.
Super fun video! ✨I just bought this light and I am LOVING it!
I also have a Amaran 300C lamp... and love it... :)
This video is awesome.... the light, the scenes... the storytelling. .. everything... is cool.

Glad you made this vid. I have been looking at this light the past month. not sure weather to buy it or not.

Hopefully, Zhiyun comes out with something like this but smaller and maybe even more affordable.
Yeah, I've been wanting the 300c since its release... you confirmed it for me.

Yeah I think it comes from being amaran, so directed more toward content creator rather than industry pros, even myself I don’t use DMx all too often
Damn man, that intro was shoot very nicely!
The intro was amazing! May I ask how you made the shot where the camera is fixed to the can?

Why not use the 150
2:37 can anyone else hear this Bowen’s mount screaming help me!!!!

Protip on how you did the pop shot? I’m assuming magic arm attached?
This was super helpful Brady! Thanks! Along that same mindset if you had to use one stand to support this Amaran 300C forever, what would that be?
300C is my go to as well
What about noise? I have heard that the amaran lights (since lower budget) are a bit noisy.
why not the 150c?
I really thought I was gonna watch how you lit a Hozier music video.
Which Nanlite competes with this?
I don’t know exactly if there is a direct comparison, I think Nanlite has a 60 color and 900 color if I remember right
any recommendations on what stand to buy with it?

Can it be powered with batteries? I'm really waiting for a Nanlite forza 300b style light with full color ability...
Wait, how did you not do an RGB scene? It's pretty awesome how this light can do that.
I could only do so many scenes with my time there! But I use rgb a lot

Love your videos!!! Question could you recommend a lighting package that I could get for $1000 or less to get started? I’d gladly appreciate it!
It’s perfect aside from the fact that you have to spend additional to have a way to power the lights outside of a studio. No creator mentions this.
